I'm celiac, but told the waiter I had a 'gluten allergy' before ordering. She was very knowledgeable about what on the manu was and was not gluten free, and for anything she wasn't totally sure of- went to the back to verify.
I ordered the meat and cheese charcuterie board as an appetizer, and the put the bread on a separate plate for my husband. The filet, with polenta and wild mushrooms, all of which they assured me were handles with separate tools and prep spaces, so we not to contaminate with other gluten items.
No reaction afterwards, and a delicious meal. All around great experience.
Amazing steakhouse. The staff were exceptional and I didn’t have to do a whole spiel about celiacs. I told her what I wanted, she confirmed it was safe and if it wasn’t she provided an immediate alternative preparation. When splitting a salad with my husband, they put the croutons on his only. When they brought it to the table, turns out she’d discovered the blue cheese also had trace elements of gluten and put that on the side as well. Best meal and easiest ordering I’ve had since my diagnosis. Yes, it was pricey but it was a special occasion and I ate every single bite.
