I ate here for my layover. I chose this place because A. Ottawa Airport offers no other options and B. Past reviews from here offer an option. I had the brie and Prosciutto Sandwich. They surcharge 1.50 for GF bread. Waitress was knowledgeable. No separate GF fryer. Overall limited options but at least that's something.

Had an excellent experience! The waiter was super knowledgable and although the menu seems to have no gluten free options, she informed me they had gluten free bread and that almost everything on the menu could be made gluten free (except the pizza). I also have a nut allergy and although the pesto is not made with nuts but had a may contain, they thawed plain chicken for my sandwich. What a great experience for an airport restaurant! I’ll be back.

Was looking for an option inside security other than Darcy McGees. Lovely little winebar across from Air Canada customer service. Just a little note on the menu that there is GF bread but when you ask, they are super-knowledgeable and careful. For example, she came back to tell me one ingredient had a may contain statement so offered an alternative. I ordered the Brie and mushroom melt which came with coleslaw. So good! Lots of natural options like salads, chicken and I also had olives and a flight of three taster wines. I highly recommend this place if you’re in the airport!

Vino Volo is a little wine bar in the Southwest terminal at John Glenn Airport. While most people come for wine, they do offer a limited breakfast, lunch and dinner. They are able to make their Butcher’s Board gluten free and offer gluten free crackers. They let me look at all the packaging on meats, cheeses, jams, etc. Had a brand new unopened pack of crackers to add and boxed it all up for me so it was not on a shared platter. Delicious and safe!

Asked if the could accommodate gluten free, explained celiacs. I was told it would be safe.
I ordered a charcuterie board, it arrived with bread. I insist on the celiacs aspect and they said the could accommodate. Board comes back with gluten-free crackers. Everything is covered in breadcrumbs.
I did not eat it, since it was shared, other people in my party ate it.
I absolutely do not recommend this place, it is not safe.

Vino Volo is next to gate B2 at CLE, and they specialize in wine flights! They also have cocktails and a menu of appetizers and entrees. Many can be made gluten free. The server Erica was pretty knowledgeable about gluten and answered all my questions about how they toast the GF bread (in the same toaster, but it’s a commercial convection oven with each order in its own clean pan) as well as checked the label of the mustard that came on the meat and cheese board. All in all, it was delicious and a really relaxing place to wait for a flight!
