I had the fish and chips and calamari. They were good and I didn't get sick! This place is always packed.
Absolutely love the fish and chips , husband loved his Caesar salad with salmon . Knowledgable staff . Dedicated gluten free frier !
Was very good felt good eating here server was very knowledgeable and told me everything that they do in kitchen to make it safe. Grill is 100% gf had the fish and chips was so yummy and a ceaser salad
I had the ribeye steak with mashed potatoes. It was excellent and safe. However was disappointed that it didn't come with a vegetable / they didn't have any vegetables available on the menu. For a place that is otherwise offering pretty healthy options and is priced to be pretty upscale, the lack of vegetables really sticks out to me.
Several tables are available outside in a roped off area on the sidewalk.
I am recently gluten free and have found it hard to find places to eat. Almost everything here is gluten free or available gluten free and is so good you can’t even tell. Atmosphere is so cute and is def worth the price. The calamari might be the best I’ve had tbh.
Sweet restaurant, mostly GF & DF, near Pike Place market. Lovely outdoor café on first Avenue. Air and elegant interior. I’m gluten-free and dairy free and there was many good options. Person at the table next to us had some other dietary request and they handled them with ease. The waiters know exactly what they’re doing and so does Kitchen. Super safe.
We had crispy Brussels sprouts, crispy, calamari, blistered carrots, smoked salmon and braised greens. The brussels sprouts and braised greens were a little bit over spiced. The toasted gluten-free bread was fine.
Breakfast is served on the weekends. Every day lunch and dinner.
I ordered the fish and chips. For most people the fish would be considered under-seasoned, but having MCAS, it was perfect. I did have to add a lot of salt, though. They were absolutely swamped for the 4th of July weekend and still made me feel comfortable and like they were taking the GF very seriously. The waitress asked questions to try and understand my MCAS and histamine issues, but figured out quickly how complex it is. A+ for effort, though! 😄
No reactions, and I didn't even take a DAO (histamine enzyme) pill. So happy!
I ordered the gf fried chicken sandwich and chips. The chicken was paper thin , so with the breading added to it, it was 1/4” thick. The sandwich bun was huge and crumbling type. So I tried to cut the chicken to eat it with a fork and could not cut through the chicken at all with the knife provided. The chips were okay, a bit tasteless for me.
Went for a quick bite, sat at the bar for fish and chips. Crust was amazing as were the fries, fish was a little bland. Nice place. Would return.
Very cool spot! Got the mussels and the calimari. The mussels were incredible. The calimari were quite eh. But overall glad we stopped in because it was a cool place and the mussels were amazing.
5 stars for safety, 3 stars for food. We had the fish and chips and a burger, neither of which were that great. Not bad, but nothing to write home about. That being said, we felt extremely safe eating here since they have a dedicated gluten free fryer. You can enjoy French fries like a normal person!! It’s super close to Pike’s Place Market, if you’re visiting there and need a safe option for food.
We ordered fish and chips which were delicious. Also, gf carrot cake. We are from out of town and are not used to being able to order gf baked goods off the menu. It was delicious and an unexpected treat.
My husband and I ate lunch here on 5/16/24. The outside doesn't look like much, but the inside is lovely with wiod paneling and plants everywhere. They have a dedicated fryer and many gluten free options, enough to make it difficult to choose what to eat. All of their desserts were gluten free as well, and the service was very good.
In town for a few days and decided to try this restaurant based on the previous reviews. I had the blackened salmon sandwich with a GF bun along with a side salad. Both were very tasty - first time I was offered a GF bun at a restaurant. I was assured they are very cautious and had a dedicated GF fryer, however I don’t normally eat fried food but had a few of my husband’s fries with no issues. The staff was excellent and very informative. Would definitely here again.
Good food, but service was mediocre/bad. I asked about one of the specials with gnocchi and got a snarky answer that gnocchi was made from potatos and is always GF (lol). My friend was clear about a dairy allergy and was served cheese in their polenta, so be sure to ask lots of questions.
Very safe. There is a dedicated fryer. I had the fish and chips. It was delicious. They don’t even make a non gf version. The service was superb and friendly
Staff was very knowledgeable, service was excellent, food was delicious, and there was a wide variety of GF options. Definitely found a new downtown favorite!!
I was disappointed in the food. It was safe, but just not great. We started with the calamari. It was overcooked, chewy, and extra greasy. I was sad the crab cakes weren’t gf. I got the muscle. The bread was just a toasted burger bun. Dessert was the only really good part of the meal. We got the cheesecake.
The food was excellent. I am gluten and dairy sensitive. No problem with cross contamination. I would definitely eat there again.
Very good and waiter told me about lots of gf options and dedicated gf frier
Great fish and chips - not the traditional “tempura” type crispy batter but more of a flour dredge that is then deep fried. Very good, and fish was fresh and well cooked. The salmon and clam chowder was delicious, the smoked salmon flavor was distinctive and well-balanced with the creamy base. A surprise hit. Both GF.
Had a delicious meal here. Ordered fish and chips. Our server was very knowledgeable about the gluten free items and cross-contamination for allergies. They have dedicated fryer for the gluten free meals and have gluten free buns. Most items on the menu can be made gluten free. Did not have any reaction after eating. Would eat here again!
We went here for brunch/lunch while visiting Pike's Place Market. The food was delicious! The menu states what is gluten free and what can be adjusted to be gluten free! My husband has pretty severe IBS and they accommodated that easily as well! We told our server that we had these issues/allergies at the start of our meal.
We had a wonderful lunch today. We had the gf fish and fries and the fried chicken sandwich with house made chips. They assured us they had a dedicated fryer. Everything tasted great and no issues at all.
So good we ate here twice! We did takeout one night and while ordering the employee I spoke with assured me that they take their GF menu items and CC very seriously. He stated they have one fryer and everything they fry is GF - stated it was easier to just make all the fried items GF instead of maintaining separate fryers. I had the Steak Frites during our first visit and the Fish & Chips the second time. Everything was delicious! I felt very safe eating here and would absolutely come back again the next time I am in Seattle.
Amazing dinner here - so many GF options - separate fryers and they are very clear on separating bench spaces and keeping it coeliac safe. We honestly had the best experience.
Brunch is excellent… majority of the menu is gluten free and they have a dedicated GF fryer. Yay for hash browns!
Very friendly staff. Most things are gluten free. They have a gluten free fryer! GF clearly marked on the main menu. Don’t use the vinegar, it does contain gluten.
Great dessert selection too.
Great food.
Talked with bartender, separate fryer, a lot of the menu is either gluten free or available gluten free with modifications. UDIs bun. Fish and chips was good, calamari was better, and the best was the friend chicken sandwich for lunch. Highly recommend.
Most of the menu is GF and their fryer is dedicated GF!
