Cashier was friendly & knew the menu well, as far as gluten risks. Hard shell tacos are about it & they are generous with the fillings (see pic). The meat was barely seasoned however, so very boring on the palate. I ordered both beef & chicken. It seemed as if the chicken had no seasoning whatsoever, not even salt. This made me so sad. I really wanted to like this place, because the cashier (who seemed to be more than just the cashier) was exceptional & so kind! The street corn was buried in water, it was so weird & barely palatable. At $6.50, that was a waste of money. If I need a good filling meal without spices, I would return. If you like bland American Mexican food, it's here. The sauce they gave me for my tacos was way too sweet for me. The dessert taco was enjoyed by my son, who isn't gluten free (it's not safe for us). The bar next door let us play pinball & arcade games while we waited for our food, so that made our visit worth it. Also, I cannot emphasize enough, how helpful & kind our cashier was.

Once I spoke to the gentleman taking my order and told him I had a very severe gluten allergy (going to the dr next month to determine if celiac) he went out of his way to help me navigate the menu. I told him I wanted something like a burrito bowl and suggested the taco salad since it had more yummy stuff in it than their burrito. I did not react at all and looking forward to getting tacos next time. The guys were super friendly and the one shared how his brother has a gluten allergy too so they are very knowledgeable about preventing cross contamination. They do have flour tortillas for the burritos so they are not 100% celiac friendly but I feel comfortable enough to go back again.

The carne asada tacos were ok, a little dry. My husbands pork looked great. I'd get that next time.

This place is great and it's celiac friendly. I can't believe all the princesses complaining below. I go at least once a week.

I ordered the tacos - one of each meat. The chicken was dry and bland-the steak had this weird after taste -the pork was okay but very greasy. The guacamole didn't taste fresh- and the cheese was the worst queso I have ever had. Very disappointed considering everyone's rave about this place.

I was told the only things I could get that would be gluten-free were the taco, quesadilla or salad. They can serve them on soft corn tortillas. There was only one other person in the restaurant, so I have to assume that they typically serve the meat cold and it wasn't because they were busy. I thought they tacos were flavorless. I wouldn't go back.

Daniel, Ron and Amos definitely know their allergy regimens. Daniel explained why we couldn't order the quest - it is made with beer, which unless otherwise stated, is made from barley. This place is a jewel for Celiac sufferers.

Most of Wako Taco's menu can be made gluten-free, and the staff are up-to-speed with cross contamination prevention protocol. While the fryer is not dedicated normally, with advance notice they can prepare a dedicated fryer. I ordered a trio of chicken tacos and they were absolutely amazing. Everything is fresh and flavorful, and the prices are nice on the wallet as well.
