Review of Waupaca Woods Restaurant

When telling my waitress I had a gluten allergy, she looked at me with a blank expression. Her demeanor completely changed. I just asked if the gluten free bun was still available. I asked what comes with it. She stated ruffles - I asked if I could just go with out. I was a little disappointed when she doesn't offer anything else (such as a side salad, etc). She said very little after I noted my gluten "allergy". She also did not come back to our table and ask if we needed anything. I felt like she was scared to come back? But I was VERY nice in asking about everything because I know accommodations can be trouble some.

I was also disappointed that she didn't note "gluten allergy" on my ticket.

While I definitely recommend this place for everyone that is not a celiac, I can't say it's a safe place for those of us with CD 😞
