Wegmans

First off, Wegmans is VERY clear with all their warnings that they do not ensure gluten free due to potential contamination. Every staff member seemed to have the same phrase and signage is all over the place about "no gluten containing ingredients" but warning about allergens. I decided to take a chance at the Burger Bar and had a gluten free bun, telling them I had Celiac. It was delicious and they did seem knowledgeable. However, I did have a minor reaction after eating that I believe was cross contamination. Far from intense but definitely a minor glutening. I would not advise celiacs to eat here..I wanted to leave this review as the other current reviews are not Celiac.

The fryer from a prior reviewer stated a dedicated GF fryer was previously used. Staff members assured me that this is no longer the case.

I am reviewing the prepared section only at this time. They have an entire aisle of gluten free snacks and the half moon cookies in the bakery area are phenomenal. I would avoid the prepared areas though.

Very thoughtful and caring staff. Had the best vegetarian burger ever. The roll was delicious. My gluten eating daughter loved it as well.

I love Wegman’s, and this location is my favorite in the area because they have many more options of prepared GF cakes/cookies etc than their other locations and their items do state there may be cross contamination but i’ve never had an issue with any of their bakery items, store made tv dinners or sushi. All of their sushi is gf and served with gf soy sauce.

It was so nice to have Asian food again! Everything was labeled in their food section. Definitely be weary of contamination but overall really good.

Wegmans is a gluten free wonderland. There have so many GF products and usually get the newest ones. I really like the way they group most of the GF products in the center of the store.

We have discovered that they have GF sub rolls at the sub shop at the front of the store. It is wonderful to be able to have a sub sandwich again. We usually pick up a couple when we go grocery shopping.

They also have beautiful produce.
