This is not your father’s Wharf Tavern. Completely new ownership and chef. We came here for years and everything they told us was GF was not only GF, but fresh and delicious. Not so anymore. Last weekend the gazpacho soup was supposedly gluten free. It was not.
Part of a conference. Meal was ordered for me. Received rice pilaf. When I pointed it out they made a new plate which was nice but they should know it contains gluten. Then at dessert time I asked what was being served for celiac and told they had Crême Brule, so ordered it. Got charged. Mentioned I didn’t think I should have to pay and manager stormed out angrily to say they had fruit salad for me. Waitress never mentioned. Made a lovely evening unpleasant. Dangerous.
They don't have a special GF menu, but can help you find something safe to eat. Very accommodating, prime rib was excellent. I had no gluten reaction.
