Came here for a friend’s birthday and was looking forward to the gluten free options. None of the sides were gluten free except the coleslaw or a salad without croutons. Our waitress wasn’t very polite about it and made me feel bad for even asking about gf options. I got a grilled chicken sandwich with a gf bun which was actually pretty good, but at the end I was charged extra for a side salad and $3 extra for the gluten free bun. Menu does not clearly state any up charge on these items.
Dined here because their sign said “now serving gluten free” but this actually meant a gluten free bun, gluten free muffin and gluten free pancakes - all of which are cooked or served with items cooked on a shared grill.
The pancakes are cooked with the regular ones and the burgers are cooked with everything else too. So even though those gluten free items exist, they are definitely not celiac safe.
Excellent food for a Sunday brunch. Great vibe. Our server and the manager were fully gluten aware. They prepared my food on a specifically cleaned area of the grill. It was excellent quality. The bartender is gluten aware and I had an excellent drink. I had no gluten reaction. And, if you call in advance, they can prepare a gluten-free pancake batter for you. That will be for next time!
I used to eat breakfast here but the last time I went I got sick, I assume due to cross-contamination
I am not sure the other people on this review ate at the restaurant. We read their reviews and decided to try it. The waitress didn't know anything about Gluten Free. We were basically told they have salad or they can remove the bun. The food looked good but not much of a selection for gluten free options. The waitress told us they do not have a dedicated prep area or frier so cross contamination is possible. we decided to leave and not risk it.
Fantastic GF muffins. Was able to eat brunch here and they cook their hash browns on a skillet so they are not fried. I noticed they also have GF chicken fingers, hot dogs and hamburgers. Server wasn't extremely knowledgable, but I enjoyed my meal! You can read my entire GF review of the White Wolf Café on my blog: http://www.celiacinorlando.com/2013/white-wolf-cafe/
