we had to stand staring at the case for a while because I wasn't used to having so many bakery options. really nice people and yummy food!

Great little gluten-free bakery! Visiting from out of town, we stocked up on oat bread, cookie mix, crepe mix, tea blends, pastries, hand pies, chiaga coffee drinks, TIRAMISU! They don't use refined sugar, so your options are also pretty low glycemic. If you have questions about allergies other than gluten, their website explains it all quite clrearly in their FAQs. For this app's purpose - of finding safe, gluten free options - this bakery gets 5 stars from me. Non-gluten related aspects are probably best reviewed on Yelp, and not this app.

Dedicated gluten free with a catch…
This place is great if you don’t have any other allergies- all baked goods have coconut sugar, so if you are allergic there is nothing for you. Their response to me being allergic to coconut was that the sugar shouldn’t be such a big deal since it was a healthy choice. I explained that I have a very serious allergy to coconut- but they reiterated it was there healthier choice and shouldn’t be a problem “because it didn’t taste like coconut”. I left feeling really upset because they treated a very serious allergy like it was some sort of preference and I was asking for a less healthy alternative.
Additionally many of the baked goods have nuts- which they said they couldn’t guarantee cross contamination against. I was really uncomfortable with their attitudes on food allergies for a food allergy bakery.

Everything is low glycemic which is why some things taste a bit bland or healthy - but it’s also why you won’t feel sick after eating here. The 7 layer bar and scones are my favourite. They used to have great salads but I think they discontinued them

I’ve eaten many of the goodies here and had them cater dessert for a wedding and a birthday. Everything is absurdly delicious and beautifully presented as well. It’s so nice to be able to order without worrying about gluten!

Best GF avocado toast. Wow! I’m new to GF and have been here before pre-GF. Appreciate this bakery so much more now!

Great place for GF treats. But ask about anything with oat flour as I’ve been told they don’t use GF oats. Also no WiFi and no decaf. Matcha latte was ‘meh’ I wouldn’t get it again.

Southwest Handpie was quite tasty.

As a severe celiac allergic to dairy thrilled to try this place. Nice cafe venue, baked good and savory treats so so. Cookies and hand pies blah and overpriced, even for the realm of GF eating. A banana loaf was $19. Recommend trying the apple cardamom or carrot cake a slice $7.

FYI Everything made with certified GF oats (exception are savory items like quiche)
Definitely celiac safe. Most of menu includes tree nuts, staff report “all” of the items have coconut. Caution advised for people with multiple allergies/sensitivities.
Employees and the website both confirmed they use certified GF oats. Was pleasantly surprised by the hand pie and vegan frosting, underwhelmed by the texture of the cupcake (felt more like eating a dense muffin). Flavor was good overall, and as a celiac I’m sure I’ll return.

All GF and also vegan which sometimes makes for subpar food. I’d give this place a passing grade but it’s not my favorite. I had a quiche that was a bit dry but improved with some hot sauce, a lemon blueberry bite that was decent, the chickpea salad that was just ok and a choc chip cupcake that was so dry and crumbly I didn’t finish it. My husband got the avocado toast which was quite good and a 7 layer bar that was to die for. If you’re also vegan in addition to having gluten issues I think you will like this place. I personally will stick with Mariposa when I’m in SF.

All GF, vegan bakery with yummy bread slices, cakes, cupcakes, cookies, bars, etc. Sometimes vegan + Gf can be a miss- too much sugar or poor texture- but Wholesome Bakery got it right for everything I tasted: bread, apple crumb cake, lemon bar, chocolate coffee muffin.
They also have savory lunch options which were tasty (open face sandwiches, topped toast, etc)

I couldn't love this place more if I tried! Everything delicious. Dedicated GF facility. Everything vegan. They do use certified GF oat flour, so if you are sensitive to oats this is not the place for you.

Guilt free desserts and brunch on weekends. Only organic and sustainable ingredients used. Cute place too!
Completely gluten free bakery. Huge selection. Vegan too. Hip setting in middle of city.
