Chef Katelyn (I believe that is how you spell her name) hands down made this the BEST dining experience of our trip to Vegas. We asked about allergy issues at the podium, and the cashier contacted Katelyn, who met us at the entrance and proceeded to guide me (the Celiac of the party) through the entire buffet. Was told was I could and couldn’t not eat based off the options, which is standard. What blew my mind and made this the best dining experience ever, was that Katelyn then asked if I wanted anything made gluten free, such as pizza or pasta; basically, all the gluten versions of stuff available, she tried to offer to me in GF versions. I could have cried, I was so happy. Took her up on some pizza with ricotta, broccoli, and mushrooms with seasonings, and proceeded to indulge in the rest of the buffet.

You DO run into the risk for potential CC, because it’s a buffet. However, they had separate tongs for everything, and was told that if I wanted, I could have some items from the back to create less change of CC, should I be nervous. I wasn’t nervous; items that were right next to gluten items I either avoided or kind of took in the appearance before deciding to eat any of them. And I ate a TON of food; tapioca pudding with mango jelly, GF cookies and cupcakes, pizza, broccoli, mushrooms, risotto, prime rib, kale salad, crab legs with butter, I could go on... it was pure heaven.

I can’t thank Katelyn enough. With her on the team at Wicked Spoon, I feel like any Celiac visiting Vegas will find themselves in a safe place to eat.
