Super nice staff. Quite a few paleo options. Will do catering for groups as well.

The service is very slow, so expect to wait and bring your patience. But, I was very appreciative that just as I was about to be served the gluten free pancakes, a woman server said they could have cross contamination due to being fried on the same griddle as wheat based pancakes. Ended up having a scrambled eggs with lots of veggies and potatoes that was delicious and saved me from getting sick on my vacation—sensitive celiac!

Decent breakfast, have GF options for most of the food. They have GF pancake, even have the vegan butter/cheese for dairy intolerance. Hubby ordered GF chorizo and he said it was great!

Super friendly staff and nice place to eat. The gluten free pancakes were the only gf item available when I went. The pancakes were delicious but pricy ($18 with fruit). I’m not for sure about cross contamination but I did not get sick.

Came here for breakfast, service was unfriendly and food wasn’t great. Country potatoes were burnt, poached egg was over cooked. GF pancakes were burned and flat with sour blueberries. Definitely not worth the price I paid. At least I didn’t have a reaction

I got the basil frittata and it was divine!! Potatoes are gluten free and they had gluten free toast! Best breakfast I’ve had going out to eat in a LONG TIME!!!

My DH and I went here because First Awakenings was full. I had read the mixed reviews but decided to try it anyway. I’m celiac, dx 17 years ago, DH is not. Service was a bit slow but I think that was because there was only one waitress and one bus person. It’s a small place and if you want to ensure your ability to eat, you’ll need to be flexible with eating there or take out but I believe it’s totally worth it!
I had the gf waffles with butter and syrup. They were WONDERFUL! because I’ve been GF for so long I can take some cross contamination issues once in a while without any kind of reaction. I did not have a reaction from the waffles. I will totally go there again when I am in town. My DH had the club sandwich which was different than what he was expecting. He said it was very good, just not what he thought it was going to be.

Wild Plum Cafe is our favorite breakfast spot in Monterey because of their delicious gluten free pancakes. They also have fresh, organic ingredients. We highly recommend it and the staff has been friendly as well.
Service awful...gf pancakes weighed 5# each and were burnt. They put that side down on the plate. Over easy eggs hard as a rock. Had. To get up and get our own coffee refillls. I would not bother with this place...not worth the $13 price for breakfast.
Wonderful place. Loved the gluten free pancakes and toast. Large plates and Great service!
Yes
Delicious pancakes, responsive staff, and knowledgeable personnel made this a delightful meal. The atmosphere is like a cosy European cafe, with lots of windows. My husband, who does not have Celiac, ate what was left of my pancakes with a smile!
Yes
Food took and hour. The GF pancakes and toast are both cross contaminated. We had to get up and get our own silverware. No coffee refills. Food was fair. On the positive side I didn't get sick, so it wasn't a total loss. Will not return.

My go-to brunch spot. The GF pancakes are SO GOOD and there are plenty of GF options. The service is always excellent.
