Mesmerizing. Everything is Gfree. And the selection lacks nothing from breakfast items through lunch and lovely desserts. The staff is equally as lovely and cheerful. This is definitely not a stop to be passed by. As a mini market there are quite a few dried and frozen pre-made options from in house soups to pastas and egg rolls. You can buy tall, fresh bread too.

My favorite gf take away/bakery/cafe on the Island. I stop here and stock up on ready made meals every business trip. Highly recommend!!

Happened to stumble upon this place when looking for coffee on a long drive. Cool little shop, everything to my knowledge was GF. Had a sandwich and scone, both were good. Decent coffee as well.

The most delicious and beautiful GF treats! Reasonable prices. Lots of savory grab and go items. Very friendly staff, double checked for nut allergy concerns. Amazing muffins, turkey panini’s, pastries, cakes, so many wonderful choices. Definitely take the time to stop if you’re nearby!

The perfect spot to stop on the way to the ferry to pick up a grab-and-go salad! So fresh and delicious! Also picked up some gorgeous treats. So many cool items in the shop that aren’t food too!

Dedicated gluten free! Some vegan selections are clearly marked. The dessert case made choosing a difficult task. All my old favorites were there! I had the pulled pork panini, raspberry cheesecake square, and hit chocolate. Dessert wasn't too sweet. Everything was delicious! I will definitely be back!

So many choices and everything is GF!!! We tried 7 different items, and all were absolutely amazing - no one would know they were gluten free. It was an absolute treat for my 2 kids and I (who all have Celiac Disease) to feast on this many different types of GF bakery goods. We unfortunately ran out of time on our holiday to make a return visit- but it tops our list when we do return to the island!

We drove from Nanaimo 20 minutes to Ladysmith just for this bakery and it did not disappoint. All GF full lunch options along with tasty cupcakes, cookies and more. Local artisan crafts for sale and a small quiet eating area.

This is a dedicated gluten free restaurant. A lovely variety to choose from; sandwiches, desserts, soups and cream puffs. I had the turkey, cranberry & brie panini and a cinnamon roll to go. All excellent and no reaction at all.

My mom ordered us a dozen cupcakes for my 20th birthday from here, and they were amazing!! We got 6 chocolate with caramel icing, and 6 vanilla with lemon icing. I’m not usually a huge chocolate cake person, but both flavours were amazing!! They were so good, that we decided to go for lunch today, and it was fantastic. It’s amazing that everything is gluten free, there’s so many options. There are options you can grab and go with or get to sit down for a hot lunch. We ended up getting a bunch of things to take with us when we left. The food was amazing, with fantastic flavours and texture. I had the chicken curry sandwich which was the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten. My mom got the pulled pork panini, which was also amazing. So excited to go back and try more of their options. 10/10 recommend.

Highly recommended. Stopped in to buy some to-go meals & sweet goodies. Tasty. I’m GF & dairy-free, so about half of the sweet goodies and 60% of the to-go meals were ok for me.

Very cute town. Walkable and lots of outdoor seating areas to sit & eat lunch.

Never has any bread available even if you go first thing. You have to preorder your bread from a bakery. Seriously.... in 2023 the bakery does not have any bread.
I was SO excited about this place. Amazing selection and very kind, sweet staff. The muffins are so tasty! I walked out with so much good stuff and yet not enough. 10/10!

They called their sticky buns cinnamon rolls and are $3.50 each but they’re quite large. They have chocolate nut butter tarts for $2.50, and butter tarts for two dollars each.
Absolutely fantastic. Everything is gluten free, there are take out lunches, salads, frozen items, and market products. The baked goods are always fresh and get there early if you want selection, because they often sell out of things by the afternoon! My favorite is the berry & white chocolate scone. The smores bar is a great treat too!

Best gluten free bakery on Vancouver Island by a long shot. Great selection of breads, cakes, cupcakes, cookies, etc. Also take out sandwiches, salads and more. Totally celiac aware and safe. Please open a location in Victoria!!
Everything here is gluten free! Great paninis, salads and desserts. Even GF croutons for the chicken caesar. Butter tarts and pumpkin pie squares too! Highly recommend.

I’ve been gluten free for around six years now, and one thing I’ve always missed is bakeries. Usually non dedicated spaces have one cookie, maybe some bread, and that’s it. If they DO have anything, it’s also always half the size and twice the price. But whatever, that’s life. Wild Poppy Market BLEW ME AWAY! A variety of gluten free foods that don’t cost an arm and a leg AND are actually a decent portion size? Amazing!!! My husband (who can have gluten) and I had two kinds of cheesecake, the raspberry cheesecake bar, white chocolate macadamia nut cookie, the chocolate cookie I forget the name of, a butter tart, cinnamon bun, and more I’m probably forgetting. Everything was delicious!! As for hot foods, I tried the breakfast wrap and it was also delicious. I literally can’t recommend this place enough!!
Dedicated GF baking space and utensils and GF items wrapped/sealed. Gluten items made in a separate facility and also sealed before coming into the market. See the Celiac Scene’s website review for the full low-down on their practices. Tried the breads, muffins, and cookies with no reaction. They take great care to ensure their baked goods are GF :)
