Absolutely fantastic. Amazing food. Super yummy and all gluten free. My new favorite place to eat in Austin. I have celiac and was super excited to know that everything was safe for me to eat. Super cool staff as well.

As a celiac this place is heavenly. So many options and great flavors. We had brisket enchiladas, fried calamari with fries in rice oil and some rice floured, plus taco platter, so happy to be safely celiac safe gluten free!

Outstanding service. Facility is entirely gluten-free. Calamari was delicious — and came with fries! Brussel sprouts (with a chili sauce) were awesome — though described as crunchy, they did not have a fried taste. Risky shrimp taco is a must try, too. Grabbed a cookie and cinnamon roll to go!

Very happy that everything was gluten free and safe. They offered a variety of food which was great. However, the taste of the fried chicken and enchiladas were underwhelming. Nothing spectacular to be honest.

This is a great little spot with tons of patio space. The whole place is gf with a huge menu so ordering was slightly overwhelming. We ordered fajitas, onion rings and fried chicken and they were good with huge servings. The fajitas were ok, not mind blowing. If you're in Austin, go to a taco place for tacos and come here for gf Southern fried food.

This place has a fully soy-free, gluten-free scratch kitchen, and it was delicious! I ordered onion rings, which I love and haven't been able to have for years. It was great to have a full menu to choose from!

Had lunch here this week. First time in Austin and I was so excited to find a restaurant where I didn’t have to be careful in how I order! They make their own bread with rice flour. The food was delicious! My husband who doesn’t have to be gluten free loved the brisket tacos! Highly recommend!!

Tasty food and wonderful service! If the tres leches cake is there, get it! My gluten companion said it is better than regular tres leches!! Lots of options on the menu. Favorite items from our trip included any of the tacos (rice and beans were not our favorite, so maybe still with the tacos rather than a meal), onion rings, burgers.

Chicken fried steak, Brussels sprouts, and queso were delicious. Took several slices of cake home as well. Amazing! Very wide range of options and all celiac safe. I’ll be back!

Wonderful to find a 100% Gluten free restaurant! The food quality and selection is amazing, unfortunately the service was very poor. Only had 1 person working on a Monday afternoon and most of our order was incorrect or not brought out. A real shame, since I would eat here every time I'm in Austin. Maybe just an off day, but have reservations about giving them another shot.

I was so excited to try this place after moving to Austin and being diagnosed with Celiac. When my birthday rolled around, we called ahead to make a reservation and everything (just in case).

When we showed up, there were two tables seated outside. We stood inside for about 3 minutes (nobody was inside and the place seemed empty - completely silent). Finally, a woman came out from the back seeming a bit frantic and told us to have a seat wherever we liked.

Long story short, the service was extremely slow, the drinks were small and pricey, and all the food came out stone cold.

Maybe it was a bad night for them, because the one employee we saw seemed to be the only one working. Almost felt bad for her, but this was my very first birthday dinner since my diagnosis and it was absolutely awful. The food would’ve been okay if it were even a little warm, but we won’t be going back.

Seriously, one of the best restaurants in Austin - incredible tinga and brisket tacos, enchiladas, chicken fried stuff, burgers, onion rings…and somehow 100% gf. Bravo!

I've been here a few times because it is one of the few restaurants in Austin that are 100% gluten-free. I haven't been glutened but the cleanliness and staffing of the place could be improved. A renovation would also be good imo.

2023 Update: If you're looking for basic bar food, this place is reasonably priced & safe. But as many have commented, the building is clearly in disrepair & I definitely share the concerns others have mentioned about overall cleanliness. They also always seem understaffed.

That being said, I've never gotten food poisoning from them & since they're one of the only dedicated GF restaurants in Austin, I'm going to continue ordering from them.

Original 2019 Review: GF Safety wise, this place is a dedicated facility, which I always appreciate. But I have to agree with other reviewers, the food is kind of bland. Onion rings were good, but the rest was pretty boring. Also, the flies were out in force when I went, so that was a bit annoying. Still enjoyed eating out though.

It’s a unique menu for gluten free with lots of comfort foods but I have lost all faith in their ability to truly take allergies seriously. I am Celiac with a corn and egg allergy on top. I have been here many many times and always ask and double check and order the same item. I’ve had reactions to corn or egg here before, never gluten, but never attributed it to this because I was so careful. Come to find out today the item I have been ordering has egg all over it. I will never eat there again as I no longer trust them to have fully gluten free or allergy free foods. I’m honestly heartbroken.

Great breakfast! My daughter is celiac and finding a safe breakfast spot is tough. Everything is gluten free so no worries upon ordering and the whole family was able to share their entrees. We had the Belgian waffle, French toast, wake up (husband non- Celiac had this and said the toast was great), onion rings, and enchilada con huevos. Everything was gluten free! It was ALL DELICIOUS! We were in town doing at college tour and will def be back the next time in town. Nice patio and staff is very welcoming and helpful!

I also have a dairy allergy and the server Kurt was able to have the cook make fried mushrooms, chicken, and shrimp that were all dairy free, all had great taste and having fried food is a unique experience for me. I also had French fries that were not coated and good. Nice to support a non chain restaurant and know you are safe. Lots of other choices if you can have dairy, the idea of being able to eat chicken fried steak or chicken fried chicken gluten free is amazing, a lot ofnpeople were ordering that while we were there.

Completely GF. It was so wonderful to tell my daughter that she could order anything from the menu! We all enjoyed the GF onion rings. The burger was cooked perfectly, the enchiladas and fajitas were great. And the cakes we wonderful! Just a wonderful experience for my celiac family!

I’m giving it a 5 star review because it’s undoubtedly safe and that means a lot in my book. That being said, when I was there (~5 weeks ago) it was dinner time yet there was literally no one in there except us. The waiter barely talked to us - you just scan a QR code on the table and order and pay through it. I ordered a cinnamon roll only to be told afterwards that they were out which was disappointing.

I also got some onion rings which I hadn’t had in years, and honestly they weren’t the best. They were pretty bland and needed salt.

Over all I was underwhelmed, but again, it was safe and for that reason alone I would go there again.

This place is amazing and it's so nice to find a completely GF place. The comfort food was amazing! Loved the calamari and the brisket enchiladas were probably the best thing in the menu.
