They take cross contamination very seriously here. We let the host know we needed GF and a server gave us a menu that had been marked up to show GF options (and what substitutions to make to make an item GF). The server asked about cross contamination before I could mention it. Everything was delicious!

I absolutely love this place, possibly my favorite spot in Portland. They are extremely careful and attentive. The servers know exactly what you can eat and what substitutions can be made. They even will acknowledge foods cooked in shared ovens and can request the separate oven for gluten allergy on some foods. I’ve eaten here several times and never felt sick. It’s also some of the best food in Portland so that helps!

Really love the food here. They don’t have a dedicated gf menu but the staff can mark up a menu for you clarifying what isn’t safe due to cross contamination. I haven’t ever gotten sick here. Ordered the salmon, hummus and olives.

Yalla was so good! The food was incredible and the servers were very kind and patient. They have a menu available with hand written notes on what was dairy and gluten free. What had risk of cross contamination AND where to make substitutes to make things DF or GF. Highly recommend for both the quality food and the care put into keeping food safe.

Delicious! They didn't have a separate gf menu but they hand wrote down what is gf and what would have cc. Definably recommend the brocolini

It’s a shared plate restaurant, which can be tough with CD, but the waitress and kitchen were both great. The waitress marked up the menu for me with things I could and could not eat, including where I could make substitutions and highlighting dishes at risk of cross contamination (e.g. things cooked in the same oven as the pita).
