The sushi was good, but overall I was disappointed, because there were other great-sounding options that sounded potentially gf, but then it turned out almost everything other than the sushi had soy even if it wasn't listed. There were also some communication problems about what allergens were and were not in some dishes, including their bringing out a sushi roll and stating it had both gluten and my wife's allergen (so why did you even bring it to our table?) and telling us to just order like normal and they'll manage with sauces...then telling me I could only get a poke bowl or most of the sushi. They are new, so hopefully some of this gets worked out, but I would generally head to yanaga's other izakaya in fishtown, which seems a little more able to accommodate restrictions
