The staff knew which Gf options were available. BUT when my lamb burger was delivered and I asked if it was GF bun the server said yes. One bite in the other waitress came back and said they gave me the wrong sandwich and said they’d remake it. The manager then came and said not to worry as the bun was right but the meat was beef and not lamb. However when the new sandwich came it was on an obviously different bun. A clearly GF bun, so the first bun had been a regular gluten bun!!! A free meal doesn’t make up for health impacts.
I really appreciate the vegan and gluten free options but the quality control needs to be improved! My Beyond Burger came out on a regular bun. Luckily I realized there was no way the bun was GF and requested it be remade before I took a bite! Could have gone very wrong for me otherwise. Our server was awesome in recommending I get with with a lettuce wrap as their GF bun isn’t vegan. Hoping next visit will be a 5 star one!
The waitress offered my son with celiac butteted noodles, because only the sauce has gluten (not even remotely true). She wasn't aware of ehat gluten was and eent bavk to ask the chef a question three seperate times before we gave up. My son ate white rice, and we will just catch an early dinner sonewhere else.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I expressed my cross-contamination worries before ordering & was actually heard and respected. I ordered the spicy shrimp tacos and they were great! I would definitely eat here again.
The food has to go through the manager to be allergy approved. The gf bun fir the burger was fantastic. Servers were very careful- we sat at the bar and ate so that may have been a help. They brought me gf drinks to sample and double checked my order. I had a great meal, great service, and didn't get sick
Ask for the gluten free menu to get a wide variety of choices! They even have gluten free buns for sandwiches (which I didn’t try). The street tacos were delicious and served in a double corn tortilla. Great place for celiac sufferers!
Appreciated having a separate gluten free menu and ordered the porcini encrusted halibut with mashed potatoes, asparagus, and bok choy with porcini cream sauce. Waitress was well informed of GF celiac needs. Also, a staff member separate from waitress visited table to confirm they would change gloves and take precautions with my meal prep. Same member also inquired about my family’s satisfaction with the condition of the bathroom upon our exit from the restroom area. Good customer service! Food was delicious too!! No tummy upset and I was able to enjoy time on the National Mall after the meal in comfort.
Been here several times and usually had good experiences. Tonight I had a hair in my food and the manager was rude when I asked a questioned about the rest of my meal. If a hair can be in my food, cross contamination can easily occur. Won’t rush back here.
Back staff made a mistake and brought out gluten food twice (not what was ordered) and was slightly confused what we were saying when we sent it back. Waiter put it in correct. Manager hand delivered correct food and comped my wife's meal. Food was excellent. Gluten free menu.
Unfortunately the two times I ate there, I was sick. The GF menu is not extensive which is fine, but if you offer GF options it would be best to have dedicated space to lessen the risk of cross contamination
They have a GF menu and it’s easy to understand. I had a steak with a cream sauce, carrots, asparagus and Parmesan mash potatoes. It was lovely. I’ve actually had this same meal at the Yard House in Sacramento and both times it went very well.
They have a gluten free menu. However even after ordering from the GF menu and advising the waitress of my allergy I still got sick immediately after eating. They were busy so I'm sure it was just alot of cross contamination. Would not recommend though since I got sick.
We had a GREAT waiter. He and his manager both were so intent on finding out answers for me, like whether or not the margaritas were gluten free. Together we figured it out. They are. I ordered the sushi dish off the gluten free menu, and it doesn't share a dish with anything that might cause a cross contamination issue. Overall, we had a lovely experience here and I trusted the waiter because he was very diligent and we worked together. I didn't get sick after eating here.
Separate gluten “sensitive” menu. They do not claim to be gluten free or advertise that they attempt to prevent cross contamination. However, I ordered asparagus and they offered to steam it for me to avoid gluten contamination and the use of dairy products to sauté. Menu was a typical restaurant variety, nothing special. Food was good. Burgers served on a lettuce wrap, no gf bun and no fries for gluten sensitive. Server was very kind and accommodating when she could be.
Nice GF menu, but it is a shared kitchen, so be careful about what you order and be very stern with the waiter to verify you need gluten free. Our waiter seemed knowledgeable but the food runner was clueless when I ask him yo verify my order was GF. The only beer they had was Omission which is not considered GF by most celiacs. Nice atmosphere, just be cautious.
Brought out my lettuce wrapped burger with gluten fries touching it. I also have a dairy allergy... Sent back the cheeseless burger that was touching the gluten fries and they brought back a burger with a salad covered in croutons with a burger dripping in cheese. Great waiter but the manager and kitchen staff had no clue what they were doing.
If I could post negative stars I would. My first order of GF chicken came out, I cut into it and it was raw. Bloody at the bone. The waitress acted as if I was being unreasonable when I asked if it could be cooked throughly. Everyone else’s meal came out. The other fried chicken for the table was brought out on a large blue plate. When what I thought was my GF chicken came to the table, I checked to make sure it was done. As I took a bite of it the waitress came to the table to check on us. One that was in our party said she was still waiting for her chicken. The waitress points to what I had just taken a bite of and said that’s it. They have zero way of keeping GF order and regular orders separate. The manager did bring the third order out that I had already said I didn’t want.
They have a gluten free menu and lots of options. Unfortunately, the wait staff is not careful when inputting my order. After letting them know of my allergy, they put croutons on my salad. Unrelated, they also charged us twice for my meal and there was no toilet paper in the restroom.
So staff was not knowledgeable. Went there in a two day period. First day I got a sauce with my steak that wasn’t gluten free. Even tho I double checked. Next day came back and ordered the same thing, no sauce. I asked why. New waitress says it contains wheat. I was sick for a week. It’s a fine place . But stick with basics and make sure you speak with manager.
I eat here a lot and have yet to get sick. I usually order the César salad with chicken and of course they put no croutons. I’ve also had the lettuce wrapped burger with a salad on the side and it had great flavor! I admit there is probably a risk of cross contamination but they’ve always seemed very careful- a manager or chef always brings my food out separately and they really seem to have a knowledge of what a serious gluten allergy is. So far so good!
I had a very bad experience here. They brought out a salad covered in croutons after I was very clear with them about my gluten intolerance. They took it back to kitchen and brought a “new” salad. It became very clear to me later that they had just taken croutons off the salad and brought back to me. I was very sick for days after eating there. I will never go back as they don’t understand gluten free.
