I was able to eat a gluten free pork Yero (gyro) pita sandwich! First time in 15 years. It was juicy and seasoned well - delish. Gf Pita! Gf gyro! For Gf order it without the few french fries atop. We also ordered the homemade hummus, the spread sample (fish roe, garlic potato & spicy feta), and lemon potatoes. All were tasty but the roe & spicy feta stood out. Btw they have greek frappes too! I didn’t get one since I make them at home nearly every day in the summer. This is a casual takeout spot with a few seats. Gluten free pita costs extra but it is worth it to eat normally and without incident. If I lived closer I would frequent Yeros Authentically Greek regularly.
I read the excellent reviews but was very disappointed with our meal. I ordered take out and asked for everything to be made gluten free. It probably would have been great but they put the souvlaki and grilled shrimp directly on pieces of Italian bread (not the GF kind) in the take out bags to absorb the juices from the food. I called to check that the bread was not GF and they confirmed that it was not. They refunded the cost for the portion of the meal that I had planned to eat and offered to replace it. Unfortunately, the restaurant was 30 minutes away so I ended up going without. It looked really good, but I would check to make sure they leave out the bread if I ordered take out here again.
Really delicious Greek food with GF pitas available. Fries are made in a shared fryer but the lemon potatoes are incredibly delicious. Very large portions with the platters. Certain dressings are not GF but staff is well informed of what is and isn’t GF. Avoid the falafel if sensitive to CC as it is made in the shared fryer as well.
