Review of Zai Lai Homestyle Taiwanese

Had the chicken rice bowl and was fine. Service was fast, ordering was easy (nothing special to denote as all bowls are gluten free by design) and tasty. There are real vegetables in the mix (not just tokens but a decent amount). And there are two sizes so you aren’t stuck with a massive portion (I got the smaller one and it did the trick). It’s in the Turnstyle Mall that’s part of the 59th st subway station - convenient if you need food on the go or take out to the park (there are also benches and tables in Turnstyle).
