Zen Asian Fusion

I always loved Zen before I was gluten-free. We’ve been there a few times since, but I’ve always gotten the same thing which felt safe, but not as delicious as what I would have previously ordered. Today I tried a new gf curry, and I love it. The waitress was very helpful and happy to check and make sure it was also dairy free for me.

They do have gf items marked on the menu. The staff has also been helpful with questions and suggestions to fit my dietary restrictions.

They have gf marked on menus, which is so helpful! However be aware that the salad and soup that come with lunch meals are NOT gf. One of their waiters unfortunately assured me multiple times that they are, but I knew they weren’t because other waiters (including one with celiac) told me previously. I called to give them a friendly warning, so hopefully that issue has been resolved.

I’ve been ordering sushi here throughout the pandemic and they’ve been sure to make note on all of my orders that I have a gluten allergy. They also always give me gf soy sauce (which helps me to have a bit of confidence that my order was prepared properly as well). Also, I love that they’ve been leaving their door open so that no one has to touch it as well as amazing social distancing practices. Loved this place pre celiac and still love it!

The waiter was able to tell me what my options were, and discuss them with me. I chose the GF fried rice, and it was delicious! I don’t have celiac, but I do have stomach problems if I eat wheat and I was fine afterwards

Celiac friendly?

Yes

Ordering take out GF is difficult bc the website doesn’t identify GF items. Quality of the food was average at best. Beef in the “Spicy Tasted” was tough. Expensive for the quality of the food.
