Ziggi's Coffee

Ziggy's has wonderful coffee and a bunch of gf food options (breakfast sandwiches, breads, scones). I've seen them use designated gf tongs when heating up my food items.

Ziggi’s is amazing! The owner herself (Jill) is gluten-free. The staff are wonderful with drink suggestions. The food is local to Colorado and is so delicious. The flavors in my drink blew my mind. For my drink, I got a Turtle breve and the praline flavor is subtle but perfect. I got the gluten-free breakfast sandwich. It has a sausage patty with the perfect amount of spice, a whole fried egg and real cheddar cheese on a bun that tastes like a cross between a biscuit and English muffin with a touch of sweetness. I also picked up a blueberry walnut scone for later.

NOT CELIAC SAFE.

Ziggis has packaged sandwiches and breads labeled “Gluten Free” but (in violation of FDA rules) they are not actually guaranteed to contain less than 20 ppm of gluten. In fact, in small print on the back of these, there is a warning that these items may contain gluten as they are prepared alongside baked goods made with wheat.

Knowing the FDA rule about gluten free labeling, I ate one of their sandwiches thinking it was safe and was severely glutened. Stay away.
