Great food. Always loved it here, and still enjoy it now that I have celiac. Many burger options can be made GF and they have a separate fryer for French fries. Like the last reviewer said, there is never a 100% guarantee for cross contamination, but they do a really good job to avoid it as best as they can.

GF bun was delicious and burger fantastic, but I am a very sensitive celiac. Be careful with toppings which are likely contaminated. Seasonings, sauces, bacon, etc could have done it. Server was very confident that I would be safe, but the menu states the truth that there is still no guarantee.

Absolutely amazing, they take gf super seriously. They do new glove preparation, have a separate deep fryer, and will even clean the milkshake machine if you ask!! I wouldn’t get a gf bun here, the burgers are frankly too big on their own to warrant eating a whole bun with. They’ll lettuce wrap too!! Just ask, the staff is very kind.

They have quite a few burgers that can be done with a gf bun, as well as a dedicated fryer. I had the loaded fries, Zinburger, and crime brûlée milkshake. Amazing! The chef also came out to our table a few times to make sure our experience was good there. Will be stopping there on the regular!

We loved coming here until they messed up our order and served my daughter a regular bun instead of gf (which she ordered and which was clearly marked down by the waiter). She didn’t realize it until she took a bite. The manager didn’t seem to realize the seriousness of this and didn’t even offer to comp the meal—and my daughter spent the next two hours throwing up. It was awful for her and we will not go back.

Excellent food, but I'm pretty sure that the bun that they gave me was not gluten free, even though I had asked for a gf bun. On the menu it says that they do not have a separate preparation area and cannot guarantee against cross contamination.

The staff were very nice and knew about their menu and options. The menu is mostly gluten free or gluten free adaptable. Fries, burgers and shakes were all out of this world!!! 10/10 would recommend for all my celiac and gluten free friends

The staff at this place are knowledgeable and conscientious. The menu isn't that varied (though they do have a lot of different kinds of burgers), but if you're dying for a burger and fries, this is the place. They have a dedicated fryer and are celiac safe. Been going for years. They have gluten free buns, but sometimes I go for a wedge or ask for it just with lettuce instead.

*Sometimes they over salt-and-pepper the burgers, so I usually ask for "no spice" to avoid that problem. It seems to depend on who's working in the kitchen, but better safe than sorry.

My favorite place in cville to eat! I've never been sick after eating here, but I always double check that my fries need to be cooked in the allergen fryer!

I've gone here multiple times and never felt great after eating. At my last visit, I ordered a burger with a gluten free bun. When my food arrived the bun looked a little too shiny to be the gluten free bun. I had to wait for the waiter to return to ask if my burger was GF and he said no. Somehow it got mixed up in the kitchen. It took them a long time to bring me a new burger. If I hadn't noticed the bun looked weird no one would have told me they it wasn't a gf bun!

Delicious food! The truffle fries were decadent and done in a separate frier. The burger had so many options and was so tasty, I'm glad there was no bun, just so I could enjoy the burger flavor!

We are traveling and were looking for a gf friendly restaurant and this place is awesome! They have a whole kitchen just to cook gluten free meals and a dedicated gluten free fryer. All of their burgers can be made gluten free (upon request) and are delicious! If we are ever back this way I would definitely come again! Awesome!

Solid burger place with a dedicated fryer for French fries. The bun was soft and tasty and the burger excellently prepared. No ill effects, which is a win. Had the signature zinburger with a basket of regular fries. After a day of travel, I was not disappointed. Also has a great atmosphere and while I didn’t have anything to drink but Sprite tonight, it looks like the bar and wine list (plus happy hour specials from 3 to 6) are well appointed.

CELIACS BEWARE!

Staff is not consistently trained to handle GF food. Some people taking orders do not understand both the procedure for assuring the food is made GF or the importance of this. To most of the staff, mistakenly giving a regular bun is like forgetting to add bacon.
