The service was excellent along with the gluten free bread. They completely understood what we needed and made accommodations. If you are going to have fondue, you must sit outside, so I don't recommend this for a cold day. Unless fondue is your thing, I don't recommend it. It's very thick at first and then oily toward the end. It was exactly like the stuff back home too. I went expecting a true Swiss meal, however I was disappointed. As if the cheese isn't unhealthy enough you're only given potatoes, bread, and about 5 mini pickles to dip into it. If you are going to go here, don't expect a lot, and don't eat a lot (you can feel it in your stomach all day). If you're going to consume that many calories, it might as well be on something good.
Open air fondue on the water front!! They are not celiac friendly because it is fondue you are sharing with others using regular bread. Cross contamination doesn't bother me so it was ok. They offer gluten free bread, potatoes and pickles for fondue. As an American girl in Zurich for the night wanting fondue I was willing to eat a few pieces of bread and suffer later for the experience. I was thrilled when I asked for gluten free bread and they knew what I was asking for!! I add that it was some of the best G-free bread I have ever had!!!
