Terrible experience. Menu is super limited and the chips are not gluten free. Had to find out the hard way. The staff had little knowledge and was incredibly rude. Avoid this place

The waiter didn’t know anything and the gluten sensitive menu is sub par to say the least. Side note my drink had a fly in it upon arrival.

Plain options for gf, no corn tortillas or corn tortilla chips, which would open the menu to dips and tacos. they are currently missing an opportunity in simple changes. Ebony our Waitress and manager Martin were wonderful and we enjoyed just chatting with them. He said he would mention it at next meeting.

Bahama Breeze offers a "gluten sensitive" menu, that they specifically state is not appropriate for people with celiac disease.

They have a separate GF menu, even listed GF alcoholic beverages. Had the fish it was great!
We are on vacation and I found decent reviews of this place. Due to Covid, we are not eating in restaurants and are doing takeout. We ordered from the gluten sensitive menu which indicated I would get mashed potatoes and broccoli as my sides. There was no place in the online ordering for me to make an extra note of the gluten allergy. So, I called. The first person I talked to put me on hold when I told her why I was calling. She told me that she needed me to talk to the manager. I did. She asked me what I ordered and I told her, but she didn’t ask the name on the order. I told her and she said okay, but I’m pretty sure that she wasn’t really noting it. When my husband came back with the food, there were fries, which looked great, but I couldn’t eat them. If we had been eating in person, not of this would likely have been an issue. It was disappointing. My ribs were delicious and filling, but it still is frustrating when you don’t get what you think you are getting or when people don’t understand your needs.

Was able to order online through “gluten sensitive” so items were marked when ordering. I ordered pretty simple-grilled chicken with citrus butter sauce (that was delicious!), mashed potatoes, and broccoli. We also tried the crab-avocado stack and that was really good! Not many items on the menu but ate here twice and have felt good both times.

The manager was very helpful, personally circled items on the menu that could be made gluten free. The waitress was polite and said she would inform the kitchen staff to take precautions. I had the ribs and broccoli which were both delicious. So far no reaction!

They had a gluten sensitive menu. Limited options, but available.
Staff was very accommodating but the menu is gluten sensitive and very limited. The menu states cannot guarantee that there won’t be cross contamination.
Fantastic food, they had immediate seating and a gluten senseitive menu, phenominal food fairly priced. They also had a live artist begin playing while we were eating!
Yes
Husband has celiac, nice menu, had steak Oscar, mashed potatoes, asparagus, delicious citrus dressing on salad. No issues
Yes
Very small GF menu but server was knowledgeable and food was really good.
They do have a limited (I ate lunch here) GF menu. The staff was friendly and worked to give me a GF lunch but didn’t seem very knowledgeable about gluten.
Great gluten free menu! I did not get sick. Salmon, mashed potatoes, and broccoli was so delicious!
Yes
Gluten free menu. Did not get sick. Food was good, not great.
Yes
I ate here twice- the first night they were very accommodating and the food was delicious so I went back the next night. Unfortunately my server the second night brought my salad with bread and then when I repeated that I was gluten free she said she “didn’t know much about it” and told me to “just take off the bread”. The manager came over and brought me a new salad but I still got sick. Not worth the risk!
No
They had a gluten free menu, but for a seafood place I was astonished at how small it was. What we ordered was very good. The waitress seemed annoyed though with our gluten free requirements.
The manager couldn’t confirm that ANYTHING could be made GF so we left. If I could give 0 stars I would.
No
Gf sensitive menu has two items. A salad and a soup. They brought it with bread. They redid it, I wasn’t sick, but not many options and pricey.
Drink menu extensive and margaritas were good. Gf Menu was ridiculously small. Choice of protein with sides the same. They didn’t even offer more than 1 veggie as a side dish, others were potatoes or rice. Had the Steak Oscar. Didn’t come with the sauce like it was supposed to. Mashed potatoes tasted like they were from a box. My husband’s non-gf Tilapia Oscar was nothing special. No reaction but I’d only ever go back for the bar. Nothing but the ceiling fans reminded me of the Bahamas.
They have a gf sensitive menu but the food is bland and boring. There really isn’t any extra effort to make the chicken jerk or give it a nice mango relish. They have so much potential here and it’s simply over priced and bland.
Great Baby Back Rack with mashed potatoes. They can alter some other dishes too to make them gluten free. Great service.
Yes
Went here again this month. Had the Baby Back Ribs on the gluten "sensitive" menu, and white rice and green beans. Got GLUTENED this night. I don't have celiac but am very sensitive, and was running to the restroom repeatedly....
I probably will go back, but not order the ribs again....
No
Had limited gf menu. Chose the chicken and vegetable soup. It was good except salty. Service was very slow. The restaurant was only half full.
Want to like this place bc of the great atmosphere and drinks but would not recommend for celiac/strong sensitivity. Menu is “gluten sensitive” and server did not seem super knowledgeable. Been sick all day 🤢
No
Very friendly and knowledgeable about their gluten-free menu. I ordered the Grill Chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The meal was seasoned very well. No sickness for me!
THE WORST EXPERIENCE!!! They have nothing gluten free. Even their rice has gluten in it. The chef made me a steak and a baked potato but I had to wait so long to get it that my friends were done by the time it came.
No
Food was fairly pedestrian with little flavor, and few GF choices. I had the jumbo lump crab and shrimp tower (an app big enough for a light lunch or dinner), it was fresh and fitting for the atmosphere and a hot summer day. We got there just as half price apps for happy hour had started, so that made it worth it.
Yes
Gf menu had good number of choices, including mashed potatoes. Catafalque seemed knowledgable
Yes
They have always been extremely helpful in selecting foods that are GF. Now they do have a small GF menu. Thank you!
I had an appetite a crab stack. Crab, avocado, mango. Very delicious. My husband had a beef bowl.
Thank you Desiree so much for taking care of me with my gluten-free problem food was great
Good meal. The waitress new about GF. I had Jerk Shrimp appetizer and the Baby Back Ribs with Mashed Potatoes. I would return.
Along with what everybody else said the gluten-free menu is very limited however Not only was the manager extremely helpful but explains why half of the menu is essentially gluten free but they can't claim that it is. for instance the bowls & alot of the chicken dishes are fine. unless if your worried about plantains being in the same fryolator, otherwise substitute.
Yes
Ask A LOT of questions!!! I ordered off the gluten sensitive menu and specified I had a gluten allergy. When my food came, there was some kind of won ton looking things on top of the Cole slaw. The server I questioned said it was gluten free. I asked the waitress as well, before I ate, and she whisked my plate away. It was NOT GF! No apology, but I didn't get sick with the meal that was returned. The food is good and I have felt GF safer at other locations. But this was pretty concerning.
No
Terrible place and I will not return. THIS PLACE IS NOT CELIAC FRIENDLY. I am not sure why the previous reviewers would state that. This Bahama Breeze did have a Gluten Sensitive Menu (it is limited), but they do not have a dedicated work space or a dedicated fryer. I ordered my salmon as suggested on the GF menu plus asked my waiter to put an additional warning on my order. Unfortunately I still got sick.

They now have a gluten free menu. Is very limited, but at least they're trying to be considerate and the kitchen manager stated that they are very careful and hyper aware. Very accommodating.
Yes
they don't have a gf menu, but the kitchen manager came out to discuss all my options. the food was fantastic and I was very pleased.
Yes
Got a burger without bun, telling them it was because I was gluten-free. They put a sauce on it plus onion straws on my plate, neither of which was listed on the menu!
Our waiter wasn't sure about gluten free options. However, the manager came over and spoke me through my options, and was extremely knowledgeable about cross-contamination. I had a steak with mashed potato which was delicious and I felt fine afterwards.
Yes
It didn't directly have a GF menu but after we received our drinks, I asked the waitress and she wasn't completely informed but a few moments later; I had a manager there going through each page of the menu explaining what I can eat and what I can't eat and why. He as well very open and wanted to hear my questions as little they were. Half way through the meal, he came and checked on my table. Very sweet and polite staff with delicious food. Overall, it was a very good experience and I would for sure go back.
Yes
No onsite gluten-free menu, however the staff is wonderful at heloing you figure out what you can eat. pretty much anything grilled is a good choice.
Yes
Our waiter was very helpful. They were able to accomodate us. The options are few because they fry everything in the same fryer. Also, the yellow rice even has gluten in it. 4 stars only because with a few tweaks there could be more options here. They cooked our food in a manner to avoid cross contamination.
Yes
Waiter was extremely accomodating and went above and beyond. He spoke with chef to make sure no cross contamination. They don't have GF menu but were very willing to make adjustments
I found this restaurant of the FMGF app, but it was difficult for me to tell why Bahama breeze was listed as being Celiac friendly. Upon arrival and asking for a gluten sensitive menu, I was told that they didn't have one. However they would send a manager to the table to identify the gluten-free options. After several minutes no manager came. However the waitress reviewed my options, listing items that clearly were not GF - including the rice bowls. I had the turkey burger and caramelized onions, with a side of fruit and mango sorbet- both were very good. For this restaurant chain to be celiac friendly, they need to do more - clearly identifying the GF options for everyone, staff and those dining who need GF, lots of staff education, and if the manager is supposed to visit the table, they need to do that without excuse.
