This place was amazing. They have gf menu but my husband had regular menu and they were almost identical. My husband had the gf fried haddock sandwich and I had crab crusted haddock with Mac and cheese. Everything tasted great. Lots of appetizers, main menu food and a chocolate cake that I got to go because I was to full but looks wonderful.

I am blown away by my experience here! The hostess asked if anyone needed a GF menu before we were even seated. There was a blurb on the menu about how seriously they take accommodating dietary restrictions. My food was delivered to the table separately by gloved hand with confirmation that it was gluten free. Celiac can be so isolating sometimes, especially in restaurants, but Burtons gave me a sense of normalcy and inclusivity. Great job Burtons!

I've eaten here several times and have never gotten sick. They are knowledgeable and always happy to accommodate my diet. The gluten-free menu is extensive. I love their burgers and how their buns don't get mushy or fall apart like so many others do. This is the only restaurant I've ever been to that offers a gluten-free bread service (although it is an extra cost) - the focaccia is delicious. Usually I don't have room for dessert, but I did try the cheesecake one time and it was amazing, creamy and decadent. I wish I lived in town so I could go here all the time.

Burtons has a dedicated GF menu with lots of choices. My son ordered the burger and fries and he said it was delicious, especially the bun. Also, the server brought his food out first, then our food was brought out separately. Service was great. We will be back.

Lots of variety and seems to be a safe places to go but after eating at several locations, they are just okay taste wise. The number of options is great for someone with Celiac but I almost wish they’d offer less choices and perfect the recipes on a smaller number of items. When we visit the Sterling, VA area we always eat once or twice at Burtons. Great experience as always and even ate the GF bread appetizer for the first time. Our servers were great and attentive. The chef brought one of the dishes out. Hopefully they open one in the Hampton Roads again someday.

I have personally have celiac disease and am very careful every time I go out. This past Easter my family and I went there for Easter brunch as they are known for their gluten free menu and allergy policy. Well 48 hours after that brunch I proceeded to have a reaction and have been sick for 3 days. I called Burtons spoke to a manager and explained my situation and hoped it wouldn’t happen to anyone else and I was brushed off and told my dish was naturally gluten free. An hour later I got a call that they talked to the chef and kitchen my food was mishandled and had gluten in it. They offered me a gift card for my problems as I’ve been sick for 3 days unable to leave my house. Please be careful here I don’t trust them and I do not want to see anyone else get sick !

My daughter has celiac disease and type 1 diabetes and she was glutened tonight by an inattentive waitress. She put her need for gluten-free in the reservation (it was an anniversary), she ordered from the gluten-free menu, she told the waitress she had celiac disease when they asked about allergies, and she used the words gluten-free when she described what she was ordering. She was brought gluten bread which she ate a few bites of. She stopped and asked the waitress, who then replied, “oh, that’s right, you were supposed to have gluten-free.” The manager tried to make up for it but it can’t make up for the next difficult 24 hours that she’s going to have.

There were so many items we wanted to try on the GF menu! We had the Firecracker Shrimp, which was just delicious and came with a very tasty cucumber salad. The Maxx burger was unbelievably good, and the fried fish sandwich and sweet potato fries were very good. The GF buns on both sandwiches were so soft and delicious, they had the taste and texture of a real gluten bun. So amazing. We also tried the chocolate cake, which was a nice treat. We wish we had a Burton’s closer to where we live, because it was so good and there were many GF items we just couldn’t try this time!

My husband and I went to Burtons while on a trip to Charlotte and they were phenomenal! The service was great and the food was outstanding. The minute we walked in the door, I felt safe. They asked if I wanted a gf menu and the waitress immediately wrote down my df and gf allergies. 95% of the menu can be made gf and df because everything is prepared fresh for you! Burtons Grill is my favorite place. They have many options and they are scratch kitchen. I have never gotten sick from any of their food. They are very knowledgeable of all allergies and definitely worth the money for all options.. you can even get fried calamari gluten-free. This is hard to find anywhere. I would recommend Burton and have recommended Burton many times for anyone with celiac disease.

The extensive gluten free menu is perfect for my husband who is gluten intolerant. He ordered the Maxx burger gluten free with truffle french fries. We have several Burtons in Massachusetts which we enjoy and trust. This FL location offered the same safe and delicious experience! Large GF menu, knowledgable staff, and many choices. While my burger was fine, they accidentally served me Mac and cheese with the regular pasta. They didn’t catch that mistake until I confronted them. Only offered a discount next time I go. While this might have just been a slip up since other celiacs have had no problems with this place, I urge any celiacs to not trust a restaurant unless it’s dedicated gluten free or if you yourself are overseeing what the chefs are doing.

Super yummy buffalo chicken dip and spinach artichoke dip!! They offer gf focaccia as bread service (need to order as appetizer) and it comes w three spreads to choose from. Pomegranate martinis are a hit too!

Ate brunch here on a Saturday after finishing up some shopping nearby. I had the eggs Benedict. The food was decent, though not spectacular. The GF English muffin was thin and pretty mediocre, and the hollandaise was serviceable but not the best. However I didn’t get sick, and there were many GF options. The server noted that my food was GF when she brought out my plate. I would eat here again.
