My food was great!! Server was very helpful and knowledgeable about gluten. Chips are made in a separate fryer.
I eat GF and DF. Menu notated GF and Vegan items. I ordered the guacamole without the queso fresco and the salmon lunch entree. I specified my dietary needs and requested nothing was cooked in butter. Food was delicious.
i got the queso and chicken fajitas. the chips and salsa were yummy but the rest of the food wasn’t super yummy. there were only 5 or so gluten free options. it was too much money for mediocre food.
Great restaurant with many options. Gluten free fryer for chips which is rare. The manger took my order and was able to give me great information and he was extremely knowledgeable. Avoid the ranchero beans and the steak meat as they both have gluten. Black beans are a good substitute. I had the chicken enchiladas with tomatillo sauce with black beans and rice.
Are at the Terminal B restaurant. Food was really good. Some items are marked gluten free, thought they will accommodate for special items.
Clearly marked menu. No beef but chicken and fish are options. Can have chips/ queso Affordable and very tasty fish tacos
Food was amazing! Service was amazing! Staff was very knowledgeable about celiac! Best Queso ever had!
Delicious, lots of options, upscale without being too pricey. We had GREAT service from a very knowledgeable waiter, super table side made guacamole, best fish tacos I’ve had at a restaurant, and great chicken fajitas. Chips in dedicated fryer. The prices were in my opinion extremely reasonable for the high quality food, nice ambiance and good service. If you are celiac this is the place to go with friends, family, or on a date! Nice happy hour drinks too (good rose)
The staff was very knowledgeable, for example you need the pulled chicken not the grilled chicken for gluten free. They have a dedicated fryer so their table tortillas chips are safe. Ate here with no problem and it was delicious!
Great food and options. My two kids and I are all GF, and had no issues following our meal. Their menu I felt could have been more clear, but otherwise awesome! We love being able to eat chips and salsa at a restaurant. We all had chicken fajitas, but they were amazing. Would definitely recommend to others.
Things were labeled GF on menu. It was busy, but we had great service. They were patient with us asking questions and requesting certain food preparation precautions. My daughter was so happy to have GF chips that were in a dedicated fryer. She ordered the chicken fajitas with corn tortillas.
Good food! They were knowledgeable and could alter menu items to accommodate. Fish tacos were delicious!
We don't live too close, so I used the app to help figure out a good gf dinner place for date night. SOOOO GOOD! Haven't had Mexican in awhile and was blown away. Queso is gluten free, it's a yellow queso (so much better than what I expected), chips are in a dedicated fryer. Got the chicken enchiladas with corn Tortillas and they were delicious. The steak I was told isn't gluten-free, as a FYI. Sorry no pictures was good to pull phone for out for a pic.
Initially I didn’t want to eat here because of previous bad reviews, but it was the only place open after 9pm.
We had a lovely waitress who was super knowledgeable about gf and cross contamination. She warned us that the corn chips brought over at the start of the meal are fried in a contaminated fryer, told us specifically what we could and couldn’t eat, and even mentioned that the shredded cheese was not gf due to a binding agent.
There are lots of gf options and the meal was really nice.
Have been here many times. Knowledgeable staff about celiac. Have not had any issues getting sick. Great food and service.
Delicious gluten free options
I ordered the fish tacos, as they were marked could be gluten free. I don’t feel like they have very many gf options. I felt fine after eating them multiple times!
I found this restaurant through this app. I was surprised to see that they only had a few items marked as gluten-free on the menu (I expected most of them would be). Things I would have thought were gluten free (like dishes made with beef and corn tortillas) were not gluten-free because of the seasonings. Our server made things a lot better for me because she made suggestions and offered to check with the chef if anything I wanted could be prepared gluten-free. Also, when unsure about whether a dessert was gluten-free, she went to talk to the chef and he took the time to look up the recipe and even came out to go over it with me. Our server understood celiac because she had a friend who was celiac. The food was really good and it really felt like they took celiac seriously.
Chips were in a dedicated fryer. Salsa was amazing! But there wasn’t any meat on the menu that could be made gf besides chicken & fish. I had the mahi mahi tacos. No reaction & it was Really good. But if you don’t like chicken/fish, I wouldn’t recommend.
Our server was from a celiac family so knew about it and made recommendations accordingly. Dedicated fryer for the chips. I had the Pollo Chipotle. Excellent smothered chicken breast with black beans and corn. Spoke to the chef on my way out. Impressive! Maybe 25-30% of the menu is marked as GF so not all the options are available but certainly enough for me to go back again.
The menu has GF items noted and there are quite a few choices. Our server seemed knowledgeable. The food was rather bland and the cocktails did not at all match description and were mediocre. I had the fish tacos with beans and rice. There are better places to eat in the area.
I ate the best chicken fajitas I’ve ever had! Our waitress was awesome. I don’t remember her name but she was from Equador. She made sure everything I ordered was gf! Would definitely eat there again!
I had the guac and chips and chicken fajitas with corn tortillas. Told the waitress of my gluten allergy. Had horrible stomach pains before I left the restaurant, and was puking within an hour.
Ate here on 7/21/23 and I checked with the waitress and she assured me the chips were fried in a separate fryer. I had them with the queso and had no reaction! I also ordered a kid’s cheese enchilada (lol) and again no reaction! I would always recommend double checking about the chips though every time.
I wouldn’t recommend as the manager told me that flour tortillas would be safe. If you have a soy allergy they can’t accommodate at all. We did not eat here but they have decent drinks.
Menu was marked with several interesting gluten free options - mostly chicken, no beef on the adult menu since the initial marinade for the beef happens offsite with regular soysauce. Kids menu had 2 gf options: beef taco and cheese enchilada. My kid had the beef taco and it was a good, but fairly basic hard shell taco. Chips are from a dedicated gf fryer. I asked the waiter a few questions about the menu and gf options and then said we'd need a minute and next thing we knew, the chef was out to talk to us, assure us of their safety standards and offering to modify some menu items to make them safe for us. I had chicken enchiladas that aren't marked gf on the menu, but the chef offered to use a different sauce and make them "Mexican style" for me which would be gf. So excellent service, good food and plenty of options on the adult menu.
The food was very lackluster. GF items were clearly marked on the menu, but there were very few aside from the sides / apps. The queso tasted like melted velveeta cheese. The guac was good, as were their corn chips. The fish tacos (one of the only entrees that were GF) were quite dry. We won’t be coming back—there are so many other Mexican places with delicious GF options.
Menu labeled with GF options. Dedicated fryer for chips which waitress was very knowledgeable about. Knew which sauces, etc were GF too! Two kids’ menu options that were GF as well. My celiac kids enjoyed the food-no complaints! Felt very safe dining here as a family. “Allergy” was marked on the receipt.
We had a terrible experience. Beyond gluten free issues, the overall restaurant experience was awful. Regarding GF- they do have a few options listed on the menu. My daughter and I ordered the same dish, but requested her’s GF (which was an option on the menu). Someone from the kitchen brought the food out and both dishes looked exactly the same. When we asked the kitchen person which was GF, she seemed stumped. Took my daughters dish back saying “we’ll get you black beans and cilantro rice instead”. She brought the dish back with different beans and the same rice (no idea if that GF or not). This is a new diet restriction for my daughter and navigating restaurants is something we’ll have to learn. Beyond the GF issues- Waitress overall seemed put out to be there. We had something floating in our water, waitress took our 3 water glasses and brought ONE water back to the table. We waited for her to bring more and finally had to ask her for 2 more waters. Strange…. The food was mediocre at best. Very bland, not hot when it came out, salsa was watery, beans and rice seemed dried out by heat lamps, the best thing we had was the tortilla chips.
The server was very knowledgeable and helpful. They have a dedicated fryer and he said he'd notify the cooks to change their gloves for me. I've been to this restaurant many times over the years, pre and post celiac diagnosis. The service and atmosphere are great, and I love that you can clearly identify the gluten free options right on their regular menu. I had no cross contamination issues and wouldn't hesitate to go back.
They serve some of the best Mexican food we’ve ever had! The server was very knowledgeable about celiac, explained the gluten free dishes, accommodated us beyond measure, and even had the manager speak with us about the kitchen. No reactions and delicious food after a long days drive.
Went for dinner but waitress had no idea what gluten free meant. Could not confirm if items on the menu were gluten free. Only had a drink and left.
Manager came out and reviewed their gf options and practices. Cheese dip and fajitas are amazing. Dedicated frier. We had no problems!
If you have Celiac, I do not recommend this place. The wait staff was uncertain about what was safe to eat (turns out corn products are in separate fryers thankfully). The manager was helpful in clearing confusion, but there were very limited GF choices - a couple of salads, tortilla soup, and some tacos. The food wasn’t great overall - the rice tasted like it came from a box and the beans and chicken were very bland. Drinks were also were made from mixes and very expensive with not much actual flavor.
Chips automatically come to the table. Just say no and ask for plain corn tortillas to go with the tasty salsa. The server said that the pollo tacos were GF if you didn’t get the shredded cheese because it was tossed in flour to keep it from sticking together. Overall, a pretty tasty meal between flights in the DFW Terminal D. (Celiac, and no issues)
I added pics at bottom. Few things are listed with grey rectangles are GF (on menu as pictured below). Food is pretty average. Sub corn tortillas to get menu variety. Had chicken enchiladas (don’t get creama sauce - not GF), subbed in green sauce. Chicken was very bland. Salsa with chips were average. It’s a decent place in the mall if you are there for the mall. Ambience is nice and quiet. Service was decent. Food was quick. Didn’t try any drinks.
We had an excellent time. Items that can be made gluten free are marked in the regular menu and the kids menu. Excellent food and service.
I ordered the guac + fish tacos for takeout (both were delicious)
Manager was very accommodating and came out to confirm the allergy and any other food sensitivities
I would recommend this restaurant they take food allergies seriously
Chef says chips are not cross contaminated and also brought corn tortillas to the table. Accommodated our kids with corn tortilla quesadillas and checked seasoning on refried beans. Guacamole and Queso are GF. One of our safe spots for sure. Our server was super attentive and concerned.
