when you say gluten free they ask allergy or preference. They change their gloves and make it on a separate section of the grill. they did mess up once but i caught it before eating. Everyone makes mistakes. out of the 100s of times I have ate here I have never had a problem.
On the way to Indy for a concert, a friend and I stopped here. For context, I haven’t been able to eat Arby’s since my celiac diagnosis and it is my favorite fast food place, so finding this gem made my day. The staff were knowledge, the building clean and well-kept, and the food was great. They had a separate GF menu and everything. Great roast beef!!!
The young man taking the order was very knowledgeable. It was great being able to have fries
This is located just off of I-65, where we had stopped for gas on our way through. So glad to have seen other reviews or we wouldn’t have stopped.
The night manager, Sierra, who took my order, was knowledgeable about gluten and cross contact, and very helpful, recommending substitutions to ensure a safe meal. We were there near closing time and there was no wait, and got the staff’s full attention.
I got a mushroom burger (without cheese, and with grilled onions instead of onion rings, to keep it gf). She offered a gf bun as well, but I requested a lettuce base instead, and she was happy to accommodate, even though it didn’t sound like something they typically do.
We were told they have a dedicated fryer, so we got the sweet potato fries, and they were delicious.
They also reportedly clean the grill after grilling buns, to prevent cross contact.
We would definitely return on a future trip through the area.
Spoke with the manager that has been with the store for a long while. The fryer is dedicated GF. Their GF buns are really good too. They don't have a dedicated prep space but, they prep GF foods inside a plastic container so the food doesn't touch any contaminated surfaces. Let them know it is for Celiac and the manager put our order in with an allergy noted. My adult sons had a burger, a roast beef sandwich, and the fries. All ordered without salt due to the salt possibly having cross contamination from the factory. We will definitely eat there again.
Listed on this site as gluten free and suggested on travel celiac site. I asked for GF menu/items and there was none. All the guy said was we have GF bun. I asked if items listed as GF on their website was correct. He didn't know, didn't bother to ask anyone, was rude, and defiantly not wanting to find out. Since I didn't want to get sick, the 5 of us left!!
Our visit was wonderful. Separate fryer for fries. Gluten-free buns. Roast beef is delicious.
The person at the counter was great! I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries. The burger itself tasted great. Unfortunately the bun literally disintegrated as I picked it up to eat it. It was a very dry bun. Extremely dry and just fell apart. The fries were ok. They were pretty bland. I used quite a bit of salt, but the salt wouldn’t stick to them. I appreciate they are accommodating people who are gluten free, but I feel like they could find a better bun and figure something out to make the fries a little better. It was good, but not great.
I come here so often that they know me by name, and always take care of me and my food. They offer gluten free buns and only fry their fries in the fryer, so you can have a burger or the turkey bacon club sandwich, as well as the sweet potato fries or regular fries without salt. Just make sure you tell them it’s a “gluten allergy” and they will change their gloves and not salt your burger (their season salt has gluten). It’s a great option in town for celiacs like myself!
Great place for celiacs! They have gf buns, dedicated fryers, and an extensive gf menu available if you ask for it. The staff was very knowledgeable and made sure I was aware that their brand’s salt contains gluten, which is why the fries are served unsalted. There are normal salt packets available which I used.
Great service, the employee I spoke with knew what was safe and mentioned to leave the seasoned salt off the fries. The fries were crispy and delicious, and if I went here again I would get a much larger order of them. The burger itself was pretty good, but the bun was not very good (some sort of packaged one I've had before) and was grossly soggy and crumbling by the time I finished. It was really cheap for eating out gluten free too, and I don't think I even got upcharged for the gluten free order or bun like most places would. I'd go again, but I'd leave the bun off my burger.
So far I've Goodnight their Roast beef sandwich with Swiss cheese on their gluten free bun. If you get their fries ask for no fries as their salt has gluten in it. I like their sweet potato fries. I made a point of saying it was for an allergy ( most places don't understand Celiac) and they were very careful, changed gloves etc. My sandwich came in a plastic box so it didn't touch my family's burgers. I have loved the food so far and believe it is a safe place for gluten free. Staff answered all my questions and found the answer for me if they didn't know. Oh they do have a separate fryer for GF stuff.
Two in our family have Celiac. They had a bacon cheeseburger on a GF bun and Mahi Mahi on a GF bun. Their online menu shows what to leave off for the items to be GF. Fries are GF without salt and fried in a dedicated fryer.
They clean the prep area, put on clean gloves, and brought the GF food out on a separate tray in closed plastic containers.
Good experience. Everything is kind of bland though because their seasoning blend contains gluten. I ordered cheddar fries, but the manager who was expediting the food caught it and told me the cheddar has gluten. Overall good gluten free experience as I did not get sick, but the food is just okay. 3 out of 5 for food, 5 out of 5 for gluten awareness.
I asked for a hamburger on a gluten free bun and they asked if it was preference or allergy and I said allergy - they took extra care to prepare it and when I ordered fries for my daughter, they asked if I was going to eat any because they would’ve cooked them in a dedicated fryer. I’m a forever Beefaroo fan! The buns are great, by the way!
Great food with options for GF buns.
Great customer service. GF bun was amazing as were the french fries. We will be back.
The staff was very helpful the first time I went there. Having a Gluten Allergy makes it difficult to eat out. They were very nice and explained what the offer. They didn't make me feel like I was inconveniencing them, like others do.
Cashier was very knowledgeable about the gluten content in the menu items. Got a Beef n Cheddar with white cheddar sliced cheese on an Udi's bun. my first time dining here and I will be back!
I give them credit for trying but as far as options they are very limited. Many items you would think to be gluten free are not. Such as the salt, cheese, and even grilled chicken breast are not gluten free. If we had not asked for a sandwich with a gluten free bun we would have not known about these things. If we would have order a grilled chicken salad the meal would have not been gluten free and we wouldn't have known till after having a reaction.
wonder gf bun very soft and tasty. will return again
