Frozen yogurt flavors are marked with allergens and staff were knowledgeable. Toppings were self serve but had lids on all of the containers. My celiac child asked if they would let her have toppings from the back (chocolate chips) and they were happy to accommodate, even though they were pretty busy. It totally made her day.
After a rough day, we decided to lift our spirits with some ice cream and headed to Menchie’s.
The atmosphere was nice and inviting. There were a few people sitting and enjoying their treats, but it wasn’t busy at all.
I tried the pineapple coconut smoothie frozen yogurt, which is both gluten-free and vegan. Unfortunately, it didn’t hit the mark for me—it was really sweet and lacked strong pineapple or coconut flavors. I ended up giving it to the kids. I was hoping it would be closer to the pineapple flavor they had before.
Even though that flavor wasn’t my favorite, I would still recommend Menchie’s! This location was friendlier than the last one I visited, they have a good selection, and lots of toppings to choose from. I also appreciate that they charge by weight, so you can get as much or as little as you want.
I went in not knowing what to expect, but the flavors are clearly marked Gluten Free. The frozen yogurt is served soft serve style so there is little to no risk of cross contamination. I am very pleased with the overall experience and cleanliness. I recommend staying away from the topping if you are very sensitive or celiac. I just love the froyo. Enjoy!
Stopped by here for the second time ever yesterday. It was frozen yogurt, some flavors are labeled gluten free.
I don’t really trust that they do a total allergen removal cleaning between flavors, so I stick to the dairy free sorbets (on the far right, nearest the cups) and the vanilla/chocolate. Most of the seasonal flavors are not gluten free (far left, closest to the toppings).
Had vanilla froyo and dole pineapple sorbet here yesterday and the latter was quite good, also I did not get sick. The two times I’ve seen them the topping tables have been in major disarray, I’d steer clear of those if you are sensitive like I am.
Tasty frozen yogurt and açaí bowls, including 2 dairy free choices for me. The family was delighted with the dairy flavors. Dairy free was tasty. Dozens in f toppings in 3 designated areas. Opportunity for cross contamination of toppings but the 3rd area of toppings were sauces in a spout container. Less chance of contamination there. Friendly staff.
the froyo here is really really bad. like a weird icy texture and awful flavor. only a couple of gluten free options and the toppings were extremely poorly kept so the chances of cross contamination are very high if you ask me. and it was $20 for 2 bowls. there is a froyo place in american fork i highly recommend because it is great and clean and they have many gluten free options. i will never come back here again.
It states when a frozen yogurt is gluten, dairy, and or nut free. Ive never been sick going here and it’s my favorite place to stop and get some frozen yogurt. The toppings do not state whether they are gluten free but items like the popping pearls, chocolate strawberries, sprinkles, and chocolate chips have never made me sick just to name a few. š You can check the ingredients for each ice cream on the website or they have a book full of them if you ask. I highly recommend coming here!
Menchie's is a self-serve soft-serve place. Each flavor of froyo is marked clearly with gluten free, dairy and other allergy information. My family member with Celiac skips all toppings and sauces even if some might be ok, due to the risk of cross contamination. The machines are rigorously cleaned each day. In my experience, they tend to use the same machines for the dairy free options day after day, but no idea at this location. My family member with Celiac and intolerance to dairy had at least a couple of options and we both picked the brand-name DOLE PINEAPPLE WHIP!! What a treat! We used to have a location at home which closed years ago, so I was also happy to stock up on their adorable, reusable spoons which have served us well since we pack meals so frequently!
Variety of choices. Made there. Better precautions for cross contamination since pandemic. Some things are changing to make less safe (prepackaged toppings). Go at a not busy time and the workers are super helpful!
We had a great experience! The owner was the one in the shop, and he was SO welcoming and friendly!!
I got the dairy free oat milk froyo, and it was AMAZING! All of the toppings are packaged separately to prevent cross-contamination and keep everyone safe.
We will most definitely be returning whenever we are in the area!
I got there graham cracker ice cream about 3 times. Each time I went it said gluten free on the sign. So I thought it was gluten free. I went back a few days later and they had scribbled out the gluten free sign. Be careful if you go here! You never know if there gonna scribble it out. I even had to go to the doctor and was going insane because I didn’t know what made me sick!
Very nice staff. Everything is clearly marked if it is gluten free or not, and they use gloves on everything. Easy and fun. You can sample flavors first too, which is nice. The topping offer some concern for cross contamination and are less clearly labeled, so keep that in mind. But there were a LOT of options. Good little date spot. Very casual.
The customer gets their own yogurt and puts their own toppings. Then, they weigh the container and pay. They have an allergen book on-site. Each page lists all of the ingredients for each flavor of yogurt and toppings. The workers offered to get my daughter some toppings from the back to eliminate cross contamination. It was delicious and she didn’t get sick.
My husband and I dropped in this evening, and majority of the yogurts are GF. As far as toppings go, they aren’t labeled with allergen information, so I played it safe with mini M&Ms and Hershey’s syrup. Due to Covid, all toppings are in mini plastic containers (individual serving sizes). The yogurt itself doesn’t risk cross-contamination, but the toppings may have been cross-contaminated.
I've had Frozen Yogurt from this place a number of times and have not had a reaction. They have staff who are very knowledgeable about cross contamination and they are very cautious. If you play it safe and stick with just the yogurt or sorbet selections they are clearly marked with a gluten free symbol. And if you request fresh toppings they are willing to grab some uncontaminated ones from the back within reason. I would avoid busy times to avoid any slip ups but overall a great time.
All their frozen yogurts are gluten free. They always have at least one dairy free option. The condiment bar has gluten stuff on it so I avoid it even though there are some gluten free options on it. The frozen yogurt is amazing.
