I wasn’t in the mood for a bun so I ordered the brisket burger without a bun, smashtots and crispy brussel sprouts. It was delicious, no reaction and they have a dedicated fryer for fries, tots and yam fries.

GF Burgers They have the glutenfree bun, but cross contamination is possibile. They also said that the french fries are ok because there is no breaded or wheat floured food. I had no reaction.

Gotta ask, but they'll do it.
Fries are NOT GF because they're fried with the Tots, burgers are, BUT you need to ask for your bun to NOT be toasted.

My friend and I both ate burgers and fries here and had no issues. She is allergic to gluten and I have a gluten sensitivity, but we are not celiac. The fries are cooked in a gf fryer. They do ask if you're are gf due to an allergy or just a preference.

Unsure if the fryer is shared. We opted not to order fries to be safe. They do offer gluten-free buns for an added cost, and the staff member made sure to ask if we were ordering a GF bun as a preference or because of an allergy. They stated that for allergies or celiac customers they will not toast the bun to avoid cross contamination. Instead of fries, we ordered a side salad from Salad Works, which is next-door. Gluten-free bun was OK but I made sure to toast it when we got home as most gluten-free bread is much better toasted.

Server was very helpful in securing a GF DF meal for me. Good hamburger, although the bun fell apart. Fries with rosemary were good too. Really enjoyed the DF chocolate shake, the server looked at ingredients to ensure GF but I will next time, as I am highly sensitive and reacted to something(?). We were there mid afternoon so they weren’t overly busy. I also don’t eat a lot of fried food so it may have been that.

The burger was very good, crumbly at that, and I got the slightest bit cross contaminated. I ordered the avocado burger. I'm not sure what it was that cross contaminated it, but it might have been the bacon, as they have no dedicated fryer. I asked. The servers took great care, it looks like. Might try this chain again if I have no other options.

Le fast food est situé dans l’hôtel Hannah’s. Très bon et pas trop cher. Les cuisiniers on fait attention. Il y a des pains à burger sans gluten et les frites sont cuites séparément.

I told the staff I have Celiac Disease, so it'san allergy not a preference. Cashier asked "so? What am I supposed to do about that?" Shoulda been my first red flag, his attitude. Told the kid I was letting him know so him & all the other staff know it's an allergy, not a preference. I can't have any cross contamination any items with gluten such as crumbs from a regular bun. They still didn't understand when I explained the details of an allergy. They grabbed their manager coz they were so confused. He was just as young & confused when he asked if everything was okay & I explained again. Told him yah gotta change your gloves or wash your hands betwen touching my bf & my burgers, cook the patty separately on a frying pan or w/e & don't toast the bun if it means it's going to be put on the same grill as other buns. He said of okay, understood. Yes he I watched him cook & serve with all sorts of crazy contamination. I just took the food & sat there. Left my plate when my bf finished his food & cooked myself a meal at home. Never trusting to go again. They used to be my favorite until I moved to AK. Found out a lot of people don't understand it up here

Gluten free buns available and the staff are able to answer questions about cross contamination, I didn’t have any issues with the food. Their fries are listed as a safe option on the online allergen list but the staff advised me that sometimes they use a shared fryer so I wouldn’t get the fries if you’re celiac or extra sensitive.

This was the first time I’ve ever eaten at a Smashburger. The gal taking our order was very knowledgeable. She reassured us that there was a dedicated area where our food would be prepared and that they had a dedicated fryer for the french fries and tator tots (go on a Thursday…tots are $1!). Even though they were out of gluten-free buns, the signature Smashburger was delicious as bowl!

They did have gluten free buns, and were happy to put an allergy alert on our burger. The cashier didn't seem very knowledgeable, but another lady from the back seemed to understand what I was needing. She stated that the fries have a designated fryer. My daughter is the one with celiac. She had a cheeseburger and plain fries (I was worried about adding seasoning for the smash fries). She has not had any reaction so far. They did put her burger in the same bag with the other gluten burgers, so I would still be concerned that there was quite a bit of cross contamination. I wouldn't say it was great tasting food, but we were starving so we were happy to have it!

Went there a couple days ago. Got a burger with a gluten free bun. When they served it to me, I was concerned that it was a gluten bun. I showed it to them, and they swore up and down that it was gluten free. My friend also ordered a burger with a gluten bun. We had the same bun. Please beware!

Very tasty burgers with gluten free buns - as noted, it is a $2 up charge which I don’t love, but grateful to have a gf option. The fries and smash tots with rosemary and garlic are also gf and delish! They were very helpful with our order.

Absolutely delicious every single time!! They offer gluten free buns for an additional $2. I believe the bun is Udi’s brand. It’s so delicious and fluffy! I was told that the french fries are fried in a dedicated fryer. They also noted “***Gluten allergy” on my order!!

Horrible customer service and attitude. Asked if they had gf buns and was told yes, asked if the cooktop was shared with gluten containing buns and was told no. Paid $17 for a burger and a drink as they weren't clear on the fries, stood around for 5 minutes only for the cashier to come tell me the cooktop IS shared with regular buns and they DON'T have gf buns but asked if I still wanted the food. I said no I would like a refund her answer was "are you serious you really want a refund" we did this 3x to which she then said "you want me to go get my manager to give you a refund?" To which I again said yes, I can't eat safely. Manager came out and again questioned me and asked if I was serious. I was not given a full refund (even though no part of my order was given to me) because they "already started cooking my food". I gave up took the partial refund and left. 0/10.

My daughter is a sensitive celiac. She’s a teenager and it really limits her ability to go out and eat with friends while doing teen things. After looking online, we saw that Smashburger offered GF buns so we gave it a try. When we ordered a burger on a GF bun, the person at the counter asked if she had celiac and we’d we said yes, she told us they’d change their gloves when preparing and also told me they would skip toasting the bun. I asked if fries were GF, but after checking with the manager she verified that they weren’t safe due to CC. When our food was brought out, they had packaged the GF burger in a separate bag. My daughter enjoyed her food, although the bun did fall apart a bit (it was an Udi’s bun).
She didn’t get sick. It’s great to know that there is a fast food option for when she goes to the mall with friends.

Neither of the order takers knew about gluten free anything. After many questions and their checking in the back. After much explanation on my part and many questions on theirs, we finally got it settled that they had a GF bun and the fries had a separate fryer. Then, they asked me if I had an allergy?? They were very nice.
The GF bun was very dry and, to me, not good. Overall the burger was very greasy.

Gf bun is on the menu but they didn't have any in stock. Asked for lettuce wrapped, she seemed confused and asked if I meant no bun. I told her yes. She said it comes with fries and I asked if they had a dedicated fryer. She said no. I told her I didn't want any then. She said I can sub it with something else and a quick check of the menu showed there was nothing else gluten free. I then asked if she could mark my order as an allergy, she said there was no way she could do that. I then asked her to go tell the people making my burger to change their gloves. I physically watched her to make sure that she did. Felt fine afterwards.

Grabbed a bite to eat on a layover here at MSP and was pleasantly surprised that the Smashburger by gate C12 (terminal 1) has gluten free buns. Bun was decent, burger was delicious! Also grabbed a gluten free caramel brownie from a place called The People’s Organic (I think) at the end of concourse C by the Asian Buffet. The brownie was amazing too!
Unsure about safety as I’m sensitive, not Celiac.

I had a little trouble with the app for ordering from this location, so I called in to the store. I asked if they had GF options, and the person was very knowledgeable about their menu. She stated that their beef burgers were gluten free and they also had gluten free chicken. Their fries are cooked in a dedicated fryer, and they have a gluten free bun. I decided to place an order - and got a GF Smashburger, fries and a drink. Got the husband a non-GF burger and sweet potato fries. My GF items came marked and in a bag separately from my husbands regular order. Everything was great. Will order again!

My go-to for burgers since my celiac diagnosis. Their whole menu including fries (apart from caramelised onions) can be made GF just by changing the bun. I just had to check the online allergens list. When I ordered in person they asked if my GF request was for allergy or sensitivity and labelled my order very clearly with !!ALLERGY!! which made me feel a lot more comfortable that they would make my food safely. I also order them on Deliveroo which is possibly riskier but the burgers come in completely sealed boxes so they do not touch each other and the fries are GF (and yummy).
