Before my gluten/dairy issues my husband and I loved Pinstripes and celebrated a lot of our moments there. After my dx, I really wanted to find a way to make it work but it just doesn’t. The gluten free options all have dairy as a foundational element so literally the only thing I could have is the Cobb salad without cheese using the vegan dressing but there was confusion in the kitchen so my salad had to be remade twice. I also think they make their pasta and bread in house so the risk of cross contamination is high.

Staff were very knowledgeable about a gluten free diet and requirements. They didn't have much to offer on the lunch menu that was liked, so they provided a dinner menu to select from. The meal was also very nice.

Tried to get food while bowling with a party of 10. Ordered the pasta and goat cheese with chicken in cream sauce. Failed a Nima test so I didn’t eat.

Every time I eat here I feel extremely safe. The chefs and kitchen staff are very knowledgeable about gluten & cross contamination. Servers are great about double checking with the chef on duty. Gluten free items are labeled on the menu. There are even some items that can be made gluten free that aren’t marked gluten free. Great options of gluten free pasta & pizza. As well as main entre items. Let them know if it’s an allergy & they’ll make sure to make a special note on your food ticket & will be very careful. I always feel safe eating here.

Bolognese is good. GF pizza is cooked in the same oven as non-GF. Overall have a fair amount of options and are aware of what could be problematic. Separate GF menu.
---Edit April 2024---
Be sure to talk to a manager about options. Items marked on the menu may come with sides that are cooked in a common fryer. Lowering my original safety rating.

Got gluten free pasta. As I was eating it a I noticed there was a real noodle in it.z I got super sick.
Booked for a birthday party, gf wings fries and pasta and meatballs and very celiac conscious. Staff I spoke to on the phone was very patient and she answered all of my questions and spoke to the chef with questions. Call before you go to make sure as the gf options vary by menu/time but I had a great experience here.

Amazing experience! Such nice servers/bartenders! I was brought gf bread upon request and was even surprised with GF gelato free of charge since we were celebrating. A great place with GF labeled on the menu.

I wasn’t sure what to expect but had a wonderful experience with a very kind waitress. they have a gluten “friendly” menu saying they cannot ensure no cross contamination but the waitress was able to check with the chef who reassured me that he would prep my pasta dish in a separate part of the kitchen in its own boiling water. i had a great meal and did not get sick!

Came here to bowl and wasn’t expecting to eat, but saw there was a gluten free pizza option! They cook it on a pan inside the oven to avoid cross contamination, pizza was actually really good! One of the better pizzas I’ve had over the years, other than pizza there wasn’t much else to eat but still a good option! Haven’t found many bowling places that have safe options for celiac, so I appreciate a pizza!

Came here for happy hour. Normal menu is labeled with GF next to gluten free foods. From what I remember, there weren’t a ton of options but some salads were available as well as offering a gluten free crust for pizza. Happy hour menu was not labeled. Ordered 1 GF margarita pizza and 1 GF veggie pizza. My friends ordered a regular pizza. Noticeable difference between regular and gluten free pizza bc the gluten free crust is much thinner/crispier than regular. Pizza was very good - plenty of toppings. Did not get sick :)

I always have a good experience at Pinstripes. They have a gluten free menu with a few decent options. Salmon is always a winner. They can’t guarantee it but they do their best to avoid cross contamination

Completely unsafe for individuals with celiac. I was assured that they would prepare my pasta separately by both the host and the waiter. Their attitudes were also not great, which should have been a warning for me. When eating the pasta, there was literally a different type of noodle in the pasta, just a single one. I got sick soon after, and had a horrible experience.

Service was a little slow, but very friendly. Nothing comes out of the kitchen labeled gluten-free and I wouldn’t trust them to keep regular pasta/pizza and gluten-free pasta/pizza separate or served to the proper person, but obviously gluten-free food like salad was delicious. I was served gelato with mini ice cream cones stuck in it twice but on the third try it came out plain. I doubt the wait staff or kitchen is trained in what gluten even is, but I’d eat the salad again.

I have been to this restaurant 3 separate times and have been glutened each time. The chef even came to talk to me before I received my meal promising it would be safe and I found pieces of non gluten free bread, pasta, or croutons crumbs each time. I will not be returning.

I ordered the chicken parmesan and it was delicious. The chicken was grilled (as compared to a breading) and covered with melted cheese. Noodles were very tasty, a little bit of a chewiness to them, but not bad.

I ate there recently and was really disappointed in the lack of knowledge of the wait staff. Additionally, even after mentioning numerous times that I have celiac disease, my waiter didn’t take it seriously and I honestly don’t think he knew what celiac was. I ordered something that was marked gluten-free and within 30 minutes after eating was not feeling well. I really don’t have any trust in this establishment and was very disappointed in the experience.

We went to Pinstripes for dinner only. It wasn’t crowded but we went on Saturday at 4:30. They do offer a separate gluten-free menu. The short ribs with a risotto side (gluten free) was actually quite good. The pepperoni flatbread (not gf) was a little burnt on the edges but the pizza oven is brand new. The sliders are juicy. The cheeseburger (gluten free w/o a bun) was tasty. The pizza can be made with a gf crust and it is placed on a separate pan when cooked, so they try to avoid cross-contamination. Fries are NOT gf. We had two different servers but the food came quickly. Also, the chocolate gelato (gf) was very yummy. We’ll return for the food.

Food & GF food is very good, service can be quite awful.
Pleasantly surprised. Food good and surroundings fun.
I ate their gluten-free pizza either it's not gluten free and they messed up or they practically rolled it in flour because I'm definitely feeling the pain this morning

They had a nice gf menu. Our server was great. She even marked our order as having a gluten allergy. Only ate items (gf pizza, pesto, water, and gf chocolate torte). Had anaphylaxis reaction and ended up at ER. Made for an expensive lunch.
No
Staff was knowledgeable and was willing to verify with the chef if needed. Our waitress informed the kitchen we had true celiac disease so staff could take extra precautions. We ate here twice while in Chicago and had no issues.
There is a gluten - sensitive menu with a lot of options. I ordered the pear salad which was supposed to come with gorgonzola cheese. It ended up coming with blue cheese which will make me sick. The waitstaff did make a new salad I could take and give to someone else. Overall, not safe for people with celiac but could be okay for gluten sensitive.

Dedicated GF menu. GF pizza was liked by all even non gf ppl. I did not get sick. Played bocce ball, fun place.
Yes
The staff weren’t very knowledgeable about what was gluten free and what wasn’t. I originally was served meatballs with my pasta that weren’t gluten free. They gave me another one after that was gluten free. They have a gluten free menu which was nice
No
It is traditionally GF but nothing is grain or dairy free. The chef and staff do not understand a request for a grain free menu item. They recommended I eat a corn based spaghetti as it was the only item without dairy totally missing that corn is a grain and I explained I react to all grains. Dedicated frier but they do state on their menu they cannot prevent cross-contamination for everything is prepared in the same area.

Delicious! Able to accommodate gf, bought gf flatbread to the table huge gf menu! And easily accommodated my daughter’s tn allergy!
GF menu, not a lot of selection, only 1 GF beer. The Italian Jambalaya was good, not great. They had 3 GF desserts! Unfortunately, I wasn’t hungry enough to try.

Have had meals here and catered parties. They always do a great job.
Yes
They have a gluten free menu but I used the Nima with a gluten free pizza and it tested positive. Maybe they are touching everything gluten and not gluten in the kitchen with no regard to celiac folks?
No
Used the Nima Sensor to test our 2 pizzas that we were told were safely made GF. I took a little from each pizza and it tested positive for gluten. I ran another test with just the pepperoni pizza and that came back with no gluten. I have to assume the Margharita pizza had traces of gluten. We did not let our Celiac family members eat the Margharita pizza. They were fine with the pepperoni and didn't have issues with that one.
Best gf pizza crust I've found. Leave it to Chicago! Pepperoni pizza and side salad were good.
Great outdoor seating here (if you arrive early) for a weekend date night. Friday's offer a 50/50 special... 50% off wines under $50 dollars. I enjoyed the GF pizza (came with lots of garlic - a bit heavy for me) and my husband had a burger with fried egg - which he enjoyed.
Yes
Amazing GF boxed lunch. Had chicken wrap. The bead was awesome and the sandwich was ver fresh. Great taste. And a bonus GF brownie to die for.
Love this place. Excellent food everytime

GF menu, nice range of pizza, pasta and other entree options. My son, who has celiac, enjoyed the margherita pizza. Menu in the link however, slightly out of date, did not have the limoncello dessert when we were there but he enjoyed the chocolate cake.

Ordered pasta and pizza from here, both times got severely cross contaminated.
