Gluten Free at Minsky's

Waitress was knowledgeable and asked if it was allergy or choice. They did come out with a salad with croutons and Breadsticks although once reminded I was Celiac, they took salad back and made it again. Pizza was VERY good. Crust was tasty without tasting like cardboard.

This is my go to pizza place. I have never gotten sick here, the staff is very knowledgeable (they go through special training) and are willing to answer any questions. They’ve assured me multiple times that they change gloves, utensils, and use fresh ingredients, often without my having to ask.

I asked the server for a gf menu. she said they didn’t have one (it was online) I then ordered my pizza and specifically asked questions about cross contamination and she assured me it would be safe. an hour later comes my pizza and it’s a regular pizza! she says “this doesn’t look gluten free i’ll have them remake it” ... so then she brings me a pizza with a thinner crust. upon eating one piece I realized this crust was NOT safe at all. it was a regular thin crust pizza. I am now EXTREMELY sick and frustrated. not safe at all for celiacs.

Ordered a House salad w/ Chicken to bring home. Picked it up, luckily I checked what was in the bag before we left and they put croutons and bread sticks on top of my salad. We specifically stated Gluten free. Got my new salad and honestly, the taste was not worth the hassle. Not a happy customer. Have had several issues here.

This is my go-to for pizza cravings!! Very well educated staff. No issues!

Multiple times I've ordered and specifically said please make sure of gluten allergy cleanliness and watched through the window as they made a great pizza then cut it with the same knife as the rest tainting the pizza.

Great selection on the Gluten free menu! I had the Red Pepper Hummus and she was thoughtful enough to put cucumber slices on a separate plate from the pita wedges. I got a gluten free cauli crust pizza- it was delish!! I am celiac and it’s been 2 hours with no reaction!

I used to eat their gf pizza all the time, like once a week and never had any issues but the last 2 times they made me sick. Im not sure what changed but im pretty sure it's cross contamination

Got a gluten free pizza and told them I was Celiac. There must have been some sort of cross contamination, because I am now sick. I have eaten here a few times with no issues, so could be isolated.

Did a great job. My daughter is celiac and we could see the kitchen staff clean the counter, change gloves and use a new slicer on our pizza. Has separate GF menu. And the GF pizza and breadsticks were delicious.

Staff did not have a clue. I asked for a gluten free menu, they stared at me and then handed me a take out menu. When they delivered my salad, she announced “gluten free salad” when it clearly had croutons and a breadstick that were not gluten free, when I sent it back they did fix it. Although pizza was good, but I am not so sure it was gluten free based on the level of service.

We live in Raymore and eat here all the time! They are so kind to us and we love their gluten free crust!!!

Called for pizza to go. Talked to manager first they were great. Asked about deducted space, different utensils, and gloves. They said yes absolutely and seemed very knowledgeable. I have 2 kids with celiac and they loved the pizza and had no reactions. Are they are VERY sensitive to gluten. Love this place!

Great tasting pizza for hipsters on pointless fad diets. My 3YO Celiac was immediately glutened despite the great reviews and the fact that I called to talk to the manager beforehand. Jamie and Jessica were the managers on shift.

Absolutely horrible experience here. I’m extremely sick after eating at this Minsky’s. When I questioned the manager about my food being gluten free, he replied ‘well we are busy tonight’. So frustrating!

I wanted to like this place so much. When I was younger and could have gluten, the location in Shawnee was good. But this time was not. I decided to order a gluten-free large pizza. The online ordering wasn’t working for me so I ordered over the phone. He repeated to me twice that it would be gluten-free. When I got it there was even a GF sticker on the box. The crust seemed different from normal pizza crust so I thought it was okay. It was definitely not. I have been feeling the effects since last night. I know for a fact the was the only thing I ate that could have even remotely had gluten in it, so it’s the culprit. I’m really upset too because their pizzas are like $20 for a “large” (it’s not as big as other larges), and also it’s $3 more for GF. I paid way too much to feel miserable. Just save yourself the money and trouble and steer clear of them.

Knowledgeable staff. Great pizza. I’d give a 5 for quality, taste, staff, except they have got my order wrong a couple of times lately. Be vigilant and you’ll be fine. I still go there (to the City Market location) every week for my favorite.

We visited last night with my celiac son. Specifically ordered from the gf menu, and told both of our servers about gf. We ordered two pizzas, both specifically gf. My son's came out earlier as we put his order in first, then the 2nd pizza. At the end, our bill only reflected being charged for the small pizza as gf. The servers weren't sure if the big one was gf or not, and the manager stated it wasn't. Since we ordered both as gf, we let our son eat a slice of the 2nd pizza. Very disappointed that when ordering from the gf menu and stating it, still ended up with the wrong pizza and a sick child. otherwise, service was good and the pizza was very good too. Need staff better trained to listen and ensure when specific foods are ordered. Ended up with a voniting child most of the night from this.

They had a wonderful gluten free selection and even though they mentioned that they cannot guarantee a completely gluten free meal. I did get extremely sick from eating here which was disappointing so eat at your own risk.

The service was great and I didn't get sick! The breadsticks and pizza were very good. I even called ahead to ask about their gf handling procedures and they seemed very knowledgeable in how to properly handle things for celiacs. Highly recommend! I don't live in KC, but next time I'm back, I'll definitely go here again. Great job!

The best gluten free (vegan) pizza crust and they are very accommodating to alterations. The also have Daiya products for toppings!

They have an excellent gluten free pizza which is pretty decent sized for the price. Unlike many other places where the gluten-free pizza is about the size of a personal pizza I can usually eat four or five pieces of theirs and be full. Sometimes the crust is not quite cooked all the way so it gets a little soft in the middle but then the edges are rock hard like they can be when it's cooked completely.

I thought the GF pizza tasted good, but I started having symptoms not too long after eating it. so I'm assuming it had cross-contamination. Wondering how well they are training their employees about Celiac... ☹

Great pizza and a GF menu

I'm a highly sensitive celiac and we order from here once a week to indulge on pizza. They recently updated their entire GF menu and have specialty pizzas available as well. Pizza sizes are small, medium and large and crust is very good! I highly recommend.

Best gluten free pizza I have had!

The pizza was good. BUT we went there specifically on Monday for their free kids pizza special (my daughter's 7th birthday dinner). I asked if they do anything special for birthdays. The waitress said yes, a chocolate chip cookie ( chocolate chip cookies are listed on their gf menu). We ordered the kids GF pizzas and so we sprung for a large GF pizza (it was over 20 bucks, we even had drinks!). The waitress came back after we ordered "we don't do the free pizza for gluten free." Ok I said (any where we go usually offers GF pizza for two dollars more etc). so I asked "can we just pay the difference, the two dollars more or whatever?" She comes back, "no we don't do that for the gluten free." So I ended up ordering a small pizza for my daughter (and the baby). It ended up coming out to nearly 45 dollars. I asked after the GF cookie for my daughter, and she says "oh I'm sorry we don't do that for the gluten free." sigh. I'm just disappointed with the service.

The pizza is very good but it is on the pricey side

Good GF pizza in 3 sizes so if its just one member of the family that's got celiac like me you can get the mini and not make everyone have to get the GF crust. The GREAT kitchens certification on the door makes me feel like they actually care that it's safe for me to eat there, instead of other places where I worry that the GF options are part of a fad.

I have only gotten sick after eating here once and it could very well have been because my significant other ordered herself regular pizza and breadsticks.

They advertised the gluten free deep dish. I ordered it. It was marked gluten free. It even had the sticker on it. I ate it because it unbelievably delicious and soft. I was violently ill for 3 days. I later found out it was the regular pan crust. I'll never risk it there again. If the kitchen staff doesn't know the difference between crusts, I'm not interested.

I asked the hostess for their gluten free menu, I've eaten the gf pizza here before so I know they have one. She told me that "on the regular menu it says there is gluten free crust, and when you use gluten free crust it makes the whole pizza gluten free". Magic!! Wish it could be that easy. I have a hard time eating at a restaurant that promotes their gluten free menu and the employees have no idea what they are talking about.
