One of the best allergy friendly restaurants I have ever been to. I am allergic to gluten, dairy, and soy, but they are very careful with all allergies. Has vegan and vegetarian as well. Staff is very knowledgeable and makes ordering easy. I love this place so much I go here very often!
Great food. Good about cross-contamination. Never had any issues
Lots of GF options but cross contamination is obviously present. I got sick and I know it was from Anna's House because I had leftovers and it happened again the day I ate them. Pretty disappointed given all the rave reviews but this place is NOT celiac safe if you are sensitive to CC. Food was also surprisingly not that good.
Anna's house nevers disappoints. Today I had the GF pumpkin pancakes and they were just amazing! I cannot even imagine how they keeping doing it but evey time I get to town Anna's house is on my must stop list (more than once) and the food is always wonderful. Thank you for keeping us safe and giving us such great tasting food!! 😋 If you have celiac and have not tried Anna's, stop in. Tell them you have Celiac when you order. They have specific part of the grill for us. I have never gotten sick here and eaten many many times!!
I’ve been going here regularly for the past few months and it is officially the only breakfast spot I trust in Kalamazoo. They’re serious about their precautions and never dismissive about questions. I’m still nervous to get anything that has obvious gluten alternatives like toast or pancakes, but I’m working up to it. Hash browns, eggs, and fruit is my go-to order. It always comes out from a separate kitchen and is clearly marked. One time the server messed up putting in the order and it came out unmarked, I asked about it and she apologized profusely, remade my order, and gave a significant discount. All my family members that I’ve dragged here find food they enjoy as well. Really can’t go wrong with this place, they’re amazing.
I don’t have celiac but am gluten intolerant (along with a host of other food allergies) and WE LOVED THIS ANNA’S HOUSE! Creative foods, high quality, fun bright atmosphere, and our server Jane was really helpful and energetic. It was a great way to start our day and we’ll definitely come back!
I’ve been multiple times and never had any issue with their gluten free waffles! Though one time I had their GF skillet hash and felt a bit sick. They said they had a dedicated fryer so not too sure what happened, but I’m sure it was an accident though I’m wary with those things now. Still very allergen conscious and helpful!
This place is wonderful! Me and my celiac boyfriend are always in the lookout for great gf restaurants. SO many gf options and the menu states "GFO" and "GF". Has a separate kitchen space for gf items. Food came out marked with an allergy pick. Server was knowledgeable and when we asked for a gf item, she asked if it was an allergy or preference to be extra safe. Would recommend to anyone!
This was a great spot for my family to have lunch where I felt safe! The menu was labeled super clearly, staff spoke about celiac like they knew it, and my food came out labeled and separately. I got the chicken cobb, which was sadly the lamest salad I've seen in a while, but the flavor was decent, so meh? My husband got the wrong item, and my kids burgers looked quite basic. But, the staff were so friendly and attentive, so I would try again in the future. Great little breakfast/lunch spot.
If you don’t want to read this whole review… Just go eat here! Even if there’s a long wait, totally worth it. They have a dedicated space in the kitchen where they prepare their gluten-free and dairy free foods. When the food is delivered to the table it is clearly marked with a toothpick with the word allergy. The quality of the food was absolutely amazing and reasonably priced. We had the big breakfast, the cinnamon roll, and the Belgian waffle with pecans. The pecans were candied and the waffle had brown sugar butter. I’ve never had a gluten-free waffle so delicious in my life! We waited 45 minutes to get a table on a Sunday morning around lunchtime. They give you an app that manages the wait and you can see where you are in line and approximately how long it will be until you’re seated. That enabled us to do a bit of running around until our table was ready. If we would have had to wait longer, it would still have been worth it. This restaurant gets how to do gluten-free (and dairy free) like we’ve never been to. We walked out with enough takeout to do two more breakfasts. Their portions were huge. They were also voted the best breakfast place in Michigan. Just go there, and you’ll find out why.
Everything was great with lots of options. Well marked and can prep in a separate area if requested. Highly recommend. We don’t really eat here anymore, but not because of gluten free. I still think it’s a decently safe place to eat, but the food is just okay. It’s the place I take my parents because it has things they will eat as well.
This place was heaven! We went twice on our short trip because it was so good, filling, and safe. They have a separate allergy kitchen and the food was brought out separately each time with the allergy picks. The Belgian waffle was huge and so good. The atmosphere is very charming as well.
