Our server was very sweet and knowledgeable about celiac and cross contamination. My daughter enjoyed the GF pancakes. The server also brought her out butter scooped into a dish with a fresh scooper and a sealed maple syrup.
Very great experience!

There is a separate GF menu containing pancakes & French toast. I’m also DF so I couldn’t try them. I had the Cape May Plate which was 2 eggs, hash browns, a breakfast meat & GF toast. The eggs are cooked with vegetable oil, not butter. The server was knowledgeable about cross contamination and did let me know that although they clean the grill before making anything GF, they can’t guarantee it’s celiac safe. She also let me know they use the same toaster for GF & regular breads.

Very risky place for sure. My sister was adamant about trying it. Waiter warned toaster and waffle iron are shared. He said pancakes would be safest since they use a separate area of the griddle. I chose a breakfast sandwich with untoasted bread just in case. No reaction from sandwich. The effort to have gf waffles and toast is nice but wish it could proper preparation for celiacs. My sister whom doesn’t have immediate ramifications said gf pancakes were delicious š¤·š»āš

Delicious GF waffles and pancakes. They’re honest that they don’t have a separate kitchen so there’s a risk of cross contamination but we’ve been a bunch of times with no reaction!

There was no dedicated GF menu, but they di offer GF Pancakes, French Toast & GF Toast. The hostess was well informed of Celiacs, and told us to be sure to mention it to the server. They indicated they would inform the chef, who would note the allergy upon ordering, take note to avoid cross contamination in the prep area, do an extra clean of the cooktop for our pancakes, eggs, and had toaster bags for the GF toast. My kids were so happy and felt fine after! We had a positive experience.

Had a veggie omelette with the fresh home fries (the fried ones are made in a shared fryer). When I mentioned I had celiac, the server let me know the gluten free toast goes in the same toaster as the regular toast so I skipped it. I appreciate that she understood cross contamination and knew to ask. I’ve been here a total of two times and haven’t felt sick. Each time the server was knowledgeable about celiac. It’s nice to have access to a quality diner breakfast at the beach.

This restaurant offers gluten free but not safe for celiac's.
I personally am celiac and I know some cooks in this kitchen that have told me do not eat food from there.
There is nothing wrong with this restaurant but it's just not safe for someone who is celiac.

We went because of the reviews on this app. There were gluten free menus on every table with the disclaimer they do not have a dedicated kitchen. I took a chance and ordered gf blueberry pancakes. No reaction and they were delicious. I would definitely go back.

They offer gluten free pancakes which are amazing. If you are celiac, you should not eat the waffles because they use the same equipment for gluten waffles. All of the staff are very informative and know what they are talking about. Best pancakes I’ve ever had.

Great experience, my strawberry pancakes were delicious and my sausage was good too. Very gluten friendly and have a gluten free menu. They were knowledgeable about celiac and checked if I had it due to having separate places for preparation and making. I came back the next day, got chocolate pancakes and bacon and loved it just as much as I did the day before. I ordered the blueberry waffles at first and was told they are made on the same iron as the gluten ones so I changed to the chocolate.

There is a separate GF menu, but an advisory on the top. There is no guarantee of cross contamination nor do they guarantee all ingredients are gluten free. But, they have pancakes and waffles which is better than nothing.

Be careful — they use the same griddle for anything prepared gf as things that aren’t. They can wipe it down for you, but that’s the best they can do; they can’t prepare anything in a separate pan except maybe eggs.

I’m not celiac, but pretty sensitive. I ordered the blueberry pancakes off of their gluten free menu, which were wonderful! Once you ask the server for the menu it explains that they do everything they can to minimize cross contamination, but since they make all pancake batter in house there may be flour in the air at times. It also mentions that there’s a possibility that the same grill may be used. I didn’t have an issue, but again I do not have celiac. When my food came out it was clearly marked with a colored toothpick and held separately from the rest of the gluten plates.

Three out of the five in our group are gluten free. I got the strawberry pancakes with scrambled eggs, my dad got the chocolate chip pancakes with scrambled eggs, and my sister got the French toast. We all very much enjoyed our meals. Our server was very knowledgeable about gluten free and how food is handled in the kitchen. Although the menu says they use the same grill for regular pancakes and gluten free, our server assured us there was actually a separate grill for gluten free food, so my guess is that statement on the menu is outdated. None of us got sick (and we're all pretty sensitive). We wanted to go back but we visited on our last day of our trip. If we return to Wildwood, we will certainly breakfast here again!

Fast, friendly, professional service. Knowledgeable about GF and ready with the GF menu. I ordered the Golden Brown Waffle, scrambled eggs and ham. After speaking with the waitress, it became apparent that I could not eat here. The items on the list do not have gluten ingredients, but cross contamination is inevitable.
No
They have a GF menu, but they warn they do not have GF dedicated grill. I asked for my pancakes to be made in a pan and not on the grill. I was there at 7am, right when they opened. Our waitress said that mine would be the first ones on the grill so they did not use a separate pan. I did not get sick (yet), but unless you are going at 7am this is a RISKY choice.
No
They offer gluten free pancakes as a substitute for their regular pancakes. The waitress told me that she used a new scooper for the butter that was out of a new tub of butter. Confident that I did not get glutened. The pancakes were very good, could not tell the difference in taste.
Any meal with pancakes can have GF pancakes instead.
