This being a smoke house the meats are mostly all GF and a few of the sides. I had the ribs, baked beans, and potato salad and was not glutened. However, the flavor of everything was subpar. My husband said the brisket was excellent (and he's smokes meats at home all the time). There are a few options for GF so if you're looking for a meat and side dish maybe try something other than the ribs! : )

They were very careful once I let them know. I had an allergy. Change the gloves and got new roast out for me. Delicious food.

It was beyond delicious! They have lots of Gluten Free options and have them CLEARLY marked on their menu. They changed their gloves, knife and cutting board when I told them I was gluten free. Only desserts gluten free are the milkshakes. But overall it's AMAZING š

I mentioned being gluten free and they immediately got a new cutting board, knife, and unopened meat. They were down to their last brisket of the night and knew they had touched it after touching buns. I appreciated them letting me know and being so careful about it.

When I mentioned I had celiac the server immediately changed his gloves and got a clean knife and cutting board without my asking. There are several gluten free items on the menu. I understand many of the sauces are gluten free as well, although I ate my meat plain. All the meat is gluten free. Very tasty. No issues. Will definitely eat there again!

Zero sauces are gluten free, the ones that are not marked with gluten include soy sauce (containing gluten). Eat your meat dry! The fryer is shared, several of the sides are not safe. The only thing I was sure wasn’t going to hurt me was the chocolate peanut butter bourbon milkshake. If you feel like living dangerously, this is the place!

We are here for years and I would find myself sick often. I blamed it on the fact that I’m a big fry gal and would eat their fries even though they didn’t have a gf fryer. I found out a few months ago that though I was told all their sauces were gluten free they actually contain soy sauce and were not gluten free. š So disappointed that the information they shared with me was incorrect.

This place is amazing! The manager was extremely knowledgeable and informed me they have a dedicated fryer as soon as I mentioned I am gluten free! She also advised all of the sauces except for the hot are also gf. Had a delicious pulled pork meal with hot, fresh fries.

Food was amazing! Staff was very helpful however they didn’t completely understand celiac. I got the brisket and rib with green beans and potato salad. Brisket was amazing! Ribs where good but slightly overshadowed by the brisket. My mom got the brisket with baked beans and potato salad; she said the baked beans tasted malty, she doesn’t have celiac however and said they where good.

There was a man who explained fully everything that was gluten free and he changed his gloves and made sure there was no cross contamination. Very nice and very good food.

All meats are GF, nachos are not (fried in same fryer as gluten items). Sauces all have gluten added except the white one, but since they are all made in-house they couldn’t guarantee it was GF. Sides are marked GF and V so it was easy to tell which ones were safe. Server changed gloves and switched knives without even being asked. Very knowledgeable and considerate.

Nothing written anywhere about what's GF. You have to ask. Supposedly all meats are GF but very few sides are and only one person in the busy, cluttered kitchen seemed to know which ones. They're all sort of slopped around together so cross contamination seems likely.

I didn't get sick, but that was the only good thing about it. I asked about gluten free sides, and some of them they said were only gluten free "if no macaroni fell in," which instantly made me wonder how careful they really are. The meats were extremely dry and they didn't have any info on which sauces were gluten free, so it was very unpalatable. The fries were ok but had a weird salt that made it feel like I had sand in my teeth. The coleslaw was completely flavorless and the worst I've had in my life - my boyfriend agreed. I would definitely not come back.

A couple of sides were marked GF. The staff seemed unsure about gluten-free but they asked a manager, and were friendly and accommodating when I asked for gloves to be changed and one person to handle my food. The brisket was delicious. I didn’t get sick.

If I could give zero stars I would this restaurant will not take a order over the phone I was told that I could just come in and wait even though I told them I didn’t have time to come into the store and make an order. they do not offer any gluten-free options other than to just not get a bun. When other sugar fire restaurants have gluten-free buns.

I had the pulled pork plate. We told the guy that I couldn't have gluten and he said "Oh let me change my gloves" which I thought was awesome. Potato salad and baked beans are also gluten free and all sauces except 3 are gluten free. Was great to have a regular meal and not have to worry about gluten or cross contamination. Food was great!

Staff were very knowledgeable about what was GF, told me exactly what was safe and what was not safe. Not all sauces are GF but they will tell you what is. Food was good, fun atmosphere. Had the baby back ribs, coleslaw and beans. They also have high noon.

I was told all sauce was gluten free. I thought it was the fries making me sick, but it turns out the sauces have soy sauce in them and ARE NOT gluten free. The people have always been great and never act like I’m a pain, but I was really disappointed to find out that the information I was given by the manager was not true.

Great experience! Their menu wasn’t marked online so I called and they were knowledgeable about their GF options. All of their meats are GF and most of their sides were too. I tried the pulled pork, smoke turkey, and ribs with Cole slaw, potato salad, green beans, and hash brown casserole. They have several GF alcoholic drink options too. The service was also great.

I'm new to GF eating (NCGS), and eating out is a stressful situation for me at the moment. The staff at Sugarfire were fantastic. I inquired about gluten free options on the sides and the workers knew in a second what had gluten in it and what didn't. I don't know for certain of the fryers are dedicated or not, but I didn't have any problems with my French fries (they also serve hush puppies). You get a TON of food there and it's all excellent.

As long as you don’t get a sandwich, there are a lot of menu options, all of the meats and sauces were said to be gluten free. They have daily side dishes not listed on the menu and they were labeled which were GF. I chose the cole slaw and au gratin potatoes and also had the brisket and pulled pork. The brisket was dry, but otherwise everything tasted great and had good sized portions (although a little pricey).

They have the best gluten free fries. The staff is knowledgeable and the owners are really familiar with GF because his wife has a gluten allergy. They monitor their Facebook page regularly and you can always message and ask if the special is gluten free. They also label which daily sides are GF on their Facebook page every day. I love this place. I’ve never been glutened here and we go every week.
All of the smoked meats are GF
GF fries and many GF sides every day
Occasionally GF desserts

On.Point. All of their sauces have gluten in them so pack your own buns and Sweet Baby Ray's. Delicious pulled pork sandwich (no bun) and potato salad!
One of my favorite places because they have several gluten free sides every day. The sides change daily and are marked GF. I love the GF broccoli rice and various GF potato casseroles. Normally I get the 6 oz. smoked turkey dinner. Depending on the daily specials, I have gotten a sandwich on a GF bun. I have not ordered their fries when they have other wonderful GF sides that I can't get anywhere else.

Try the turkey plate! White sauce is safe, and they always have GF sides available. I always ask which sides are GF because they’re not always marked.
Very Celiac friendly. Dedicated fryer for the French fries makes it a bit for my 8 yr old Celiac. The menu is not labeled, but the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.

Has options. Not as well prepared as O’Fallon store with labels but it’s good food.
really good BBQ, staff not as knowledgeable on gluten free items as O'Fallon, IL and Downtown St. Louis, however we got it figured out and I did not get sick afterwards.
They are awesome all the sides are labeled and they stop and clean everything and change the piece of meat they are cutting from!
Yes
Ribs were delicious! The menu is not marked which items are gluten free however.
Yes
The staff didn’t seem to know what was gluten free and what wasn’t. Three different staff said three different things about the sauces. I had the turkey without sauce and coleslaw, which were both good and so far haven’t gotten sick.
The staff is very knowledgeable. I gave it 2 stars because the GF sides are fairly bland and MOST importantly how do you eat BBQ without ANY sauces??? The white sauce people have posted about is a basic southwest aioli that belongs on a sandwich not on bbq. If you are unfamiliar with the term aioli it’s seasoned mayo. I shared the soy sauce/ tamari sauce difference with their staff who were didn’t seem to know the difference but we’re grateful to learn hoping they would understand how the slight change would open up there menu. I have celiac and did not get sick. Did the pulled pork, ribs, potato salad and slaw. Slaw was bland and meats were also since I couldn’t have anything but mayo š
Yes
Great food! Staff is knowledgeable and accommodating taking precautions/changing gloves w/o making me feel like a pain in the butt! I do wish they would consider not wrapping hot meat in plastic wrap! I cringe when I see that. At least use a wax paper barrier or something.
We have eaten there three times and no reactions from the fries and ribs! It’s a rare thing for my husband to have no reaction with his Celiacs. The food was great and the staff was very helpful! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is due to not knowing their fryer status.
The staff was very knowledgeable about menu items that were made completely GF. They had a great GF bun to go with my brisket sandwich and it didn’t change the quality or deliciousness of their food AT ALL! No dedicated fryer, so take your chances on the fries, which they warned me about, but other than that, the mark their daily menu with which sides are gluten free! Great experience!
Yes
Ate there 2/1/19. Food was tasty but I thought expensive for the amount that you receive. Ordered the turkey, baked beans and cole slaw. my daughter had pulled pork, hash brown casserole and baked beans. We both were sick so either the beans had something with gluten in them or were not good. Did not change their gloves when handling our meat. No one else that ate with us became sick but they are not gluten free either.
