Reliably safe chain for GF eating. Friendly staff. GF food brought out separately from non-GF.

Very disappointing experience,: Don’t recommend LoneStar Napier. Ring to ask can they cater for coeliacs, get told yes, “come on down might be a few minutes wait”. Arrive to be told 20min wait. Finally seated and order and get told “oh, we can’t guarantee, there may be traces” 🤬 Order a kids GF burger and they FINALLY bring out a lettuce wrapped burger. Now for adults that’s cool, but for Miss 8 that’s the end of the world!! I ask what about the GF wrap, “that’s a chicken salad”. We have been to other Lonestars and they have always had GF buns. In their defence they provided some pan fried chicken and chips (which they didn’t charge for), but tbh nearly 2 hours later and I was over it!

Eaten here a few times now over the last year. Only disappointment is not able to have fries. Staff have always been very friendly and helpful. Quite a few GF options on the menu.

Lots of GFO options available on the regular menu. Waiter was also coeliac herself, which helped, and left a note for kitchen staff. Deliocious stake and pavlova. Good place for a large crowd and for drinks.

A number of gluten free items on the menu. The waiter asked if I was coeliac (which I am) and then advised to switch the potato wedges to mashed potatoes. The potato wedges are cooked in the same fryer as items that are not gluten free.

I had a naked burger which was so delicious, they were very aware of cross contamination by using separate cooking area. They adjusted my meal to suit my other requests with no issues.

Have been a few times and they have a few options and haven't been glutened. Have been told the fryer is not a dedicated fryer so can sub the chips for mashed potato or potato gratin. Makes me mad that they say the chips are gf when they are not

The staff were so knowledgeable. Initial waiter asked straight away if the gf meal was for a coeliac. They checked twice with the chef to make sure the meal was coeliac safe. There is not a designated fryer so fried food and nacho’s are out for a coeliac, my daughter especially who is very sensitive.

Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about coeliac disease. A number of gluten free items on the menu already, but they also had a comprehensive allergy menu showing what could be removed/modified to make other items gluten free (plus dairy, nut, and other common allergens). Were able to provide gluten free kids meals too for my daughter. They have a dedicated fryer for chips and were happy to run and check if their tomato sauce was gluten free when we asked. Meal was delivered by one of the chefs who confirmed coeliac precautions had been taken

These guys were amazing with Miss 8 (CD, dairy and egg allergies) for lunch during the school holidays.

Had the honky tonk chicken with skinless breast with slaw & buffalo chips. I don’t think they used separate fryer, be sure to remind in future

Lovely service as you expect at a Lone Star. Heaps of GF options on menu and looked after the three with celiac in our party.

Was told they actually don't have a dedicated fryer, so beware Very few options for my coeliac child, she ended up having the rice and prawns and couldn't have any of the kids meals.
