I had a great experience; gf bread, and honey butter are available upon request, the steak was prepared gluten-free with butter, and the potato soup was excellent. The staff were great.
I ordered the chopped sirloin with broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes. All excellent taste. I also had my own rolls and honey butter! I would eat here again. The staff and kitchen were knowledgeable about cross contact. Service was good. Mine was slower than the regular meals., but not by much.
So delicious and they were very knowledgeable. I felt comfortable and the biggest tell is I did not get sick!
It’s not a very safe place, but I love to sit in their cozy bar and have a cocktail. I always get the same thing, shrimp cocktail, and a bowl of the potato soup. Both have been very safe for me. I wouldn’t venture much past that though.
I dine here frequently and never have any issues. Staff will always double check if something is or isn’t gluten free if there is any question. Definitely feel safe enjoying this location.
Ordered steaks (NY Strip, 10oz ribeye), flash fried green beans, and baked potato. NY Strip at medium-rare was red in the middle. Small ribeye at medium was lovely. Small ribeyes are often too thin and are over cooked. Green beans are cooked in shared frier. They have never bothered us. Balsamic vinegarette is the only GF salad dressing. Server had to check with kitchen for most questions. No GF bread, unlike Saltgrass in Austin TX.
We eat there everytime we vacation in AZ. They have a separate gluten free menu and I’ve loved everything I’ve ever eaten there. Never had a reaction.
Gluten free menu. Filet was great. They have gluten free bread but they heat it in the microwave. Next time I'll ask if it can just be heated under a warmer. Our server was wonderful.
Had a great experience. I got the shrimp and sirloin, I was going to order the herbed rice as the side and when I asked server if there was any gluten in it he said he wasn’t sure but he would check with the chef. I told him if there was just change the side to fries. When my food came out it had fries, not sure if that was to just make it easier or if the herbed rice does contain some gluten. Ordered the ceaser salad no croutons and it came out right. Very friendly staff
Separate GF menu. Good service. Good food.
This was my 4th attempt to eat on the Landing. 1st 3 restaurants couldn’t accommodate me. I had been traveling all day & was nervous when they sat us at the bar. Hector was our server and absolutely made my day! He was extremely knowledgeable and steered me in the safest direction while ordering & personally made sure all food was made gf & served properly to ensure I didn’t get sick. He treated me so well, I wanted to go back, but couldn’t before the end of our vacation. I highly recommend eating here for all reasons! Request Hector if you can!
Went a few days ago and so good!! They have gluten free bread that was amazing. Didn’t get sick at all!!
If you have a severe gluten allergy, this location isn’t safe as there is cross contamination. As a matter of fact, the manager told me it’s not safe for any allergy (I have multiple- fish, nuts, gluten) and I was not able to eat anything.
Love this place! The best gluten-free bread is offered. Always order the Wedge Salad. Steaks and ribs are always premium quality. Customer Service sets the place apart. They have always bent over backwards to ensure a phenomenal customer experience. They have a “Loyalty Program “ that really keeps updated and delivers complimentary entrees every now and then.
Very nice atmosphere. I had the gluten free menu. Excellent
Not sure if anyone has spoken with the manager prior to eating here. No dedicated (anything )cookware, utensils, etc, fryers are shared (they do have three separate fryers but it would be for seafood, chicken, and meats which could contain gluten. They do have a gluten sensitivity menu (eek!) which seems to universally mean gluten-free by choice. I did order the wedge salad, waitress let me know their ranch is in-house made and would ensure it is safe to consume. It was really good. I did not try or ask about the baked potato as I did not have my own cheese and butter.
The staff is very knowledgeable and always makes sure my meal is prepared and served safely. They have amazing gf bread!
My daughter had a great experience at this restaurant. The gluten free bread was delicious & they had a separate menu with a wide variety of glúten free dishes. We will go back there for sure.
Great service. Potato soup is great. Ate baby back ribs, mashed potatoes.
Made sure kitchen knew I was ordering from the gluten free menu.
Separate Gf menu. Waitress said she needed to ok our gf order with the manager for safety, I liked the added layer of protection.
Server was very consciences and when he brought out gluten free bread ( a bun) he didn’t bring butter trying to be extra careful. They had a gluten sensitive menu and bread. Had a wonderful meal and didn’t get sick.
Good place to eat. They take allergies seriously. Large selection of gluten-free items.
I ordered ribs with mashed potatoes and salad from their GF menu. The waitress was very helpful and checked on dressings for me.
Had a dedicated gf menu with lots of options. Even brought out gf bread and butter. Good service and food was good. Had a steak and grilled shrimp with wedge salad and baked potato. Yum
Obviously a chain. But they had GF bread on request and the server was awesome. Great place!
I was very clear I was gluten free, they brought me a gf menu… so I had high hopes.
There aren’t many choices and the choices for entres are basically dry meat, dry fish. No sauces are added.
I ordered a salad, stated again gluten free, salmon and a baked potato.
Salad came with croutons, fish flavorless and dry, baked potato was good at least so I didn’t starve.
The fryer is shared, so all the appetizers have gluten.
I’d cross the street to Los Dos Patrillos. Flavor & gluten free
Explained that am both gluten and lactose intolerant. A gluten free menu was available and the waitress very attentive, discussing each course and option with the kitchen. Had an excellent steak, salad and sweet potato. Good value and tasty. Writing this 3 days later. No contamination.
I had an enjoyable dinner last night at Saltgrass Steakhouse. They have a separate gluten “sensitive” menu. Personally, I don’t care for that term as it might mean one of two things. 1) they can’t guarantee that there is no cross contact or 2) they are using this statement as a “cover your a**” comment. So, eat at your own risk. I ordered a ribeye with broccoli and a house salad (minus the croutons). The food was delicious. The service was great. And I’d go back again.
We will definitely return to this location! As soon as I asked about their gluten free bread our waiter proved his knowledge about my needs. He even asked multiple times if anyone else at our table needed accommodations. I am NCGS so I can typically handle some degree of cross contamination which happens in a restaurant setting. I am only giving the rating I gave because it is a chain and not dedicated gluten free.
Server was very knowledgeable about GF and cross contamination. He brought me my own GF bread with butter. OMG so delicious! Their game menu had lots of options.
Great find in downtown Houston, GF menu, knowledgable and friendly staff!! We had even gotten there before opening hours and the manager very nicely opened his doors early and served us!
After coming here since 2013 and having good experiences, came here last week and the waitress seemed to be in top of allergens, etc. I was brought out my salad with croutons on it so I called her over and explained the cross contamination would make me super sick a dnibwould need a whole new salad.
Well in about five minutes my “new” salad was back and I should have known better but she said “trust me” so I did.
Well I was so sick for two days!! I won’t be going back!
Server was very informative & helpful! She suggested gf roll; assured us it would be toasted in its own bag & brought us bag to show us ! They carry original A1 steak sauce which helps with the steak, AND she wrote celiac on the ticket I took a Me+My pill just in case! Dinner was great, I wasn’t worried, AND I didn’t get sick!! I will definitely be back to this particular spot!
We have two celiac members in our family and this was an amazing, delicious experience. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and helpful regarding the gluten free options. When asked, she offered us a separate gluten free menu which made choosing very easy. We highly recommend this restaurant for anyone with gluten sensitivity or celiac.
I had a great experience here. Staff was very knowledgeable and made me aware of everything. They have a huge GF menu, and they even have delicious gluten free bread, but make sure to ask for it when you first sit down because it does take a little bit for them to make. I had bread, shrimp cocktail, steak, loaded mashed potatoes and a salad. I will definitely return to this restaurant.
