Waitress was not helpful answering questions, short with the answers she did give. They don’t have any gluten substitutions and the sourdough has yeast in it.

One of the best experiences at a resteraunt. I'm celiac and the waitress and the manager on duty came over let me know that they were having the kitchen staff cleaning off the grill , changing gloves, the whole safety precautions. I had their burger in lettuce and OH MY it tasted so good. Best part was NO reaction. One of the best dining experiences. I will go back.
I ate the cauliflower crust pizza. It was delicious. I spoke to 2 different people before I ordered. They said they use a separate area, separate pan and separate utensils. I am sensitive to cross contamination and I did not get sick.
They have a gluten sensitive menu. They don’t have any dedicated fryers. The server wasn’t very knowledgeable about GF or how to handle GF food. It’s safe for those who are intolerant. Not good for anyone with celiac.
They have a "gluten sensitive menu." (I didn't think to take a pic if it.) While not jam-packed, it includes some skillets, fruit, hash browns, salads, and a lettuce-wrapped burger. I had the Garden Skillet, which was pretty good. Our waiter wasn't aware of the menu when I asked for it, but he said he'd check, and brought it back happy to have learned about it. You do need to make sure they know you're ordering from this menu, as some of the ingredients are modified (e.g. subbing hash browns for the country potatoes).
This restaurant provides a gluten-free menu. it used to be a good place to eat. now it has a new manager who has no clue what gluten is and no interest in accommodating gluten allergy. we ordered off of gluten free menu or brought our meals out with pancakes at which point we told them we couldn't have them and so she yelled to the back for whole wheat pancakes good luck would not advise eating here my supposedly gluten-free skillet That was supposed to have hash browns instead had potatoes fried in a community fryer.
I gave this place only one star not because it's a bad restaurant but because it's not celiac friendly. It's a franchise and has a lengthy list of allergens in its menu. One salad looked good but was saiid to have gluten. No one in the kitchen knew why,except that the chicken wasn't cooked separately.. Be careful if you go here.
This particular location is very knowledgeable about celiac’s disease and the importance of avoiding cross-contamination. Ask for April, a server who suffers from celiac’s or her daughter Brittany. They will usher you through the options. April’s husband is a cook, and you can be sure he will be careful with your food. While there are no gluten-free bread options, the hash browns and sausage are completely gluten-free. Bob and Melanie McDaniel are the owners and care deeply about quality. If you miss good, diner-type food, served in a restaurant with fun ‘70s-style decor, Village Inn is a safe option!
Village Inn cannot get gluten-free food right to save their lives. Be extra careful about anything you order here. There is no gluten-free menu and everything is prepared in shared prep and cooking areas.
Only select States have a gluten free option. Kansas does not so my daughter is very limited as to what she can eat. Luckily enough after much searching and altering we were finally able to find something she can eat but there was nothing on the kids menu available.
I visited this place a year ago & they barely understood what gluten-free was. This time they had a beautiful menu all Gluten-Free. Thank you. Love these restaurants & try to visit each time we're back in Nebraska.
