Great roast beef sandwiches. Can order a gluten free bun for an upcharge which is packaged seperately. Meat is served in a container so you can assemble your own sandwich. Fries are cooked in a dedicated fryer. I believe they have some salads and other GF options, but I always order the classic roast beef sandwich because it's so tasty and the GF buns are good too.

We stopped at the Troy location while on a roadtrip! I am vegan with severe celiac disease, so I had a plain baked potato with ketchup and some fries. I haven’t gotten sick! The fries could’ve used some sauce, but forgot to ask!My husband doesn’t have celiac disease and got the roast beef (he said it was good just dry, so we second the sauce comment) we thought the food was pretty decent (we showed up a half hour before close, so it was understandable that it wasn’t the greatest). The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about any concerns I had! Would go back again!

Their online nutrition menu gives you a list of allergens. They have a GF bun (contains egg) that is warmed and comes in a separate wrapper. They also do a glove change. Fryer is dedicated, only fries and uses canola oil. This place is like Arby's, but the beef tastes better! Seasoning for the beef is also safe!

They have added gluten free buns to their menus. Most everything on their menu is gluten free if you swap the bun and if you go online it has a comprehensive list on the nutrition info.

They have gf buns which are amazing! We order a ham sandwich with a gf bun for the kids meal. They ask if it is for a medical allergy and I say yes. Then they put the ham in a little cup with a lid and the gf bun is pre-packaged. We order it with fries that are in a dedicated fryer so they are safe. Our Celiac daughter has gotten this meal several times with no issues.

Inform the order taker it is a gluten “allergy “. They are aware to change gloves and prepare meat separate then GF bun is sealed in package and warmed up. Fries are only thing in fryer and I’ve never gotten sick. I’m a sensitive celiac

I go to the location in Troy, Mo. I ask for the manager to take my order. I have never had an issue. They seem to be educated on Celiac Disease. They are also very friendly

Great food, never any problems at any of their locations.
They had really good fries and a roast beef sandwich (with gluten free bun packaged separately). We thought a little bit of sauce would go a long way so get some BBQ sauce when you order :)
Gluten free buns. Workers know to change gloves before I even requested it. Every employee I’ve encountered on my multiple visits have been well educated about GF. One of the safest places for us
75¢ gluten free buns , dedicated fryer, and friendly accommodating staff make this a location worth visiting.
Gluten free bun, good roast beef!
Yes
Staff knowledgeable and very helpful. Only thing they fry is French fries so those are safe. Very good! And I liked the GF bun.
They have an nutrition facts and allergy sheet right at the front! I ordered the roast beef, no bun although they do have a GF bun. Fries in a dedicated fryer and CHEESE SAUCE!!! It was perfect. I love Lions Choice and I love that it’s still a choice when you’re gluten free.
Yes
Yes. We order a gluten free sandwich. The bread comes pre packaged and the meat and cheese came in a container. The bread is flavorless compared the real bun. I felt they could have still had the sesame seeds and the butter flavor like the other one. The bread was fluffy. Hopefully Lions choice will take the time to makevitvwith flavor in the future.
Staff changed their gloves. Fries are made in a dedicated fryer and are crisp and tasty. Gluten free bun actually tastes good and didn’t fall apart. The bun came sealed in plastic and was warmed. Delicious roast beef. The nutrition menu lists which foods contain gluten and wheat.
Yes
Great fast food option for celiac. I got a roast beef sandwich with a gluten free bun (.50 extra, but worth it to be packaged and sealed separate), french fries friend in a dedicated frier, and iced tea! For under 5 bucks, pretty good! Update: They also have breakfast! You can get their breakfast sandwiches without bread or with a gluten free bun. And you can get their hash browns since they are fried separately! So good to have a place I can safely eat a fast breakfast!
Yes
Just went to this Lions Choice, they were friendly and asked if the gluten free buns was for an allergy. Did not get sick. The bun upgrade is 50¢, and is great dipped in au jus. They also have a dedicated fryer for their fries.
Never gotten sick at any Lion's Choice, 50¢ gluten free buns, dedicated french fry fryer. They will ask if it's for an "allergy" and change gloves and clean the prep area.
Had a reaction to their gluten free bun so I’m guessing there is wheat in it.
No
I will say that everything tasted absolutely amazing. The bun was packaged separate and was honestly the best gf bun I’ve ever had. My complaint it, asked 2 different people if all their sauces were gluten free. I was told yes aside from their Au Jus. I later found out after a terrible stomach ache that their chipotle ranch is not gluten free. Says it on their allergy menu online. I called and spoke to a staff member who read me off the ingredients and while it doesn’t list anything super suspicious, it did say “spices” so I assume the gluten was hidden in there. Aside from this, it was wonderful. I would probably go back and just skip the chipotle ranch.
We’ve eaten there a couple of times with no problems! They say their meats are gluten-free and they have a dedicated fryer for their fries! It’s so nice to have French fries! They also have pre-packaged gluten-free buns. We’re glad to have this place nearby!
Helpful staff and great GF options.
I had a King Roast beef sandwich. They gave me a pre packaged bun and the meat was in a separate container so I had to build the sand which myself, which seems to be common practice e in fast food, and I don’t mind it at all! Great food and service!
I loved this place. It is very similar to Army's but I didn't get sick!!!!! They have a gluten free bun for$.50 more. Oh the taste was wonderful!!!!
The GF bun is decent at best, but at least they have one.
Yes
Awesome roast beef and gluten free buns. the buns are pretty good and only 50¢ extra. I've eaten here twice already since they opened. I've been to many others in the St. Louis side of the river with no issues as well. They also have ham, turkey, pork, salads and more. This store is a little harder to go to if you crave gluteny sweets as they have a section displaying them.
Really good roast beef, done medium well (you can ask for it well done or rare if you like), they also have dedicated fryers for the French fries which is awesome and they also have cheese sauce. gluten free but is only a 50¢ upgrade and it is one of my favorites. they usually ask if it is a preference or an allergy as well. I've eaten here many times over the last few years and it's probably favorite and safest gluten free fast food.
Lions choice offers Gluten free buns for only $.50 more! Fries are the only thing that goes into the fryer so no cross contamination.
When you ask for a GF bun, they ask if it is for an allergy. If you say yes, they will let the team know.
Lion's Choice has always been accommodating of gluten and other allergens. Now they offer gluten free buns for only .50 extra! The have free range turkey and ham I believe. This local restaurant chain is definitely the healthiest choice and the food is great!
Yes
This Lion's Choice has an employee who is gluten-free so they are very cautious when it comes to making sure nothing is cross-contaminated when serving. Very friendly staff and helpful too, I ordered the roast beef with no bun and cheddar, and the fries and felt fine after eating their delicious food!
