Their food is NOT safe for Celiac. I have a friend who works there and they make their dough in house in the same machine and they have nothing to put the pizza on inside the oven to make sure no flour gets on it. All the sauces and toppings are touched with flour on the gloves, ect. Be safe people š
The server made sure to inform us of anything that may contain gluten or cross contaminate. They made sure to make substitutions in every dish we ordered to fit in with my celiac and took it very seriously! Food was absolutely DELISH and the pizza crust tasted like gluten containing pizza!! 10/10
Was excited to go because of the positive reviews, but had really weird interactions with the staff. Person at the register just gave me a blank stare when I mentioned celiacs/gluten allergies, and just responded to questions about the preparation process with “it will be gluten-free”. Didn’t make any note on the order about an allergy or avoiding cross-contamination. Got the same blank stare when I asked the person who brought our drinks about it because I was feeling nervous. Tried to be optimistic and ate the pizza anyway but while I didn’t have a full reaction I definitely didn’t feel well, so I’m guessing CC. The pizza was pretty good, but not worth the stress or potential illness.
This place is gone. Replaced by a Mediterranean restaurant I haven’t eaten at yet.
Great selection and sound knowledge. Both pasta & pizza bases gf, 2pasta sauces available. A very tastey experience with enough for lunch the next day.
Really yummy, authentic pizza- probably the best GF crust I’ve had! I also love that they care about using real, non-gmo ingredients :) I did not ask if they used separate wood pallets to bake, but I did not have any bad reactions! Their salads look delish as well and would be a super safe non-cross contamination option in my opinion.
GLUTEN FREE PIZZA… the literal best that I have ever come across and I’ve been researching gluten free restaurants since 2010. I’ve tried it all. This is the only place I’ve come across from Arizona to South and north Texas. You won’t even believe it’s actually gluten free. Especially when they cook it right! If it seems gluten free, chewy, or gelatin and flat… ask them to cook it longer. The owner does an INCREDIBLE job with the cook. Can’t recommend this place enough. I’m addicted. š¶šš«£ I’ll take a picture next time I go to show off the thick, fluffy perfection.
NOT CELIAC SAFE. Every surface of the restaurant is covered in flour. They cook the gluten free pizzas in the same oven as regular pizzas. I went in based on the good reviews on this app and immediately left. I can’t speak for gluten intolerant people but it’s clearly not a celiac-friendly establishment.
Gluten free pizza dough was excellent. Initially I was alarmed because it was covered in flour but they assured me it was GF flour. They said they can do any bread product GF except the meatballs. Garlic bread was fantastic tons of garlic and olive oil.
Cross contamination highly likely.
Obsessed... gluten free crust is so good!
Great gluten free pizza! I had no symptoms after eating the margherita pizza!
They put all the pizza by the normal pizza and anyone can touch it as it is right next to the cash register.
Amazing pizza. They make small fresh batches of dough. Use an Italian rice flour mix. I had a pizza brushed with olive oil, fresh basil and fresh parm. Oh my goodness it was a dream. The owner is very familiar with gluten issues and thee are a number of choices on the menu besides pizza. The ceaser salad was fabulous and the dressing which I had on the side was perfect. They even had a peligino. Locally owned.
Staff is knowledgeable. Dough and preparation are taken into consideration. Different cutter is used. On top of all this the food is amazing. Some of if not the best gf pizza I’ve had. The crust is thin, but it has the chewy texture we often miss out on. Try the dessert pizza
They were honest that there could be cross contamination which I appreciate. However, this was the worst tasting gf crust I’d ever had. Too many other options in the area to eat here. My husband didn’t even like his regular pizza.
So I have celiac disease and am VERY sensitive to gluten so I normally go places hesitant to try anything. I came in, saw signs saying they had gluten free items. Crust, dessert, and vegan cheese. They also had several warning signs for cross contamination like normal restaurants do that have gluten free options. But normally they at least take precautions to avoid contamination, especially if they are advertising gluten FREE. They then proceeded to make my “gluten free” pizza with the same gloves, and place it on the same flour drenched stone pizza oven. And when I asked about it the chef laughed as if it was a joke. Moral of the story is, if you have a gluten allergy you or celiac disease AVOID LIKE THE PLAUGE or you will get sick. They did not offer refund for my food and the rest of my party ate while I sat here with no food.
I had a really confusing experience here to say the least. They brought out my gluten free pizza with my husbands regular one and the toppings on mine had sausage instead of mushrooms. I asked if the sausage was gluten free because I would just settle for that. She said they were but insisted on bringing me another one with the correct toppings and said I should keep the one I had. So I had a few slices of the mistaken pizza and then someone came out and took it away and said they were making me the right pizza. I thought this was weird and then they brought me a salad for some reason. Then they brought me the newly made correct pizza and it was covered in white flour I assume. They said it was gluten free so I ate a few slices. About 15 mins later I was super super sick. I don't get sick too easily so something in this process was wrong and they were sketchy about the whole thing. I wouldn't recommend going there.
The staff was very friendly. Chef very knowledgeable about GF. They make their GF pizza crust from scratch. No cardboard crust here. The pizza is fired in a wood oven on a disc so it is not cross contaminated. The bacon wrapped dates were delicious.
Gluten free crust available on menu, but we were informed it was a shared cooking environment. Pizza arrived with a layer of flour. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant if you’re gluten-free for ANY kind of health reason. Too much cross contamination.
We so wanted to like this new local establishment. Looks great inside and found a great happy hour menu for a future visit. We were a group of 7 and came for lunch. We called ahead to verify they had gluten free crust as our adult son has celiac. They do and we were told over the phone that they had a separate oven. We specifically asked that question. When we got there and we asked about it again as we were placing our order. The girl taking the order as well as the cook were totally clueless. So you know, some people eat gluten free cause they want to, others because they have to. Our son falls in the "have" to group. If you have to have gluten free your food can not touch gluten and separate tools and utensils have to handle the pizza. While the heat in the oven might kill off the gluten inside the oven, you still need separate pizza cutters and boards to remove the pizza from the oven. The people working were actually clueless. Just saying you have gluten free pizza is not enough. Unfortunately we had to leave. I suggest the owners check out how Blaze does it up the street because they do gluten free very well. Just saying you have gluten free crust does not make the pizza gluten free.
I ordered a pizza and later that night became sick. Not gluten free safe at all. When preparing my pizza there was no separate area and used the same space as regular pizzas.
Not only best Gf pizza I’ve ever had. Best pizza period. True Italian wood fired pizza. Amazing!! They also do Gf calzones and dessert calzones.
Fan of anyone with a hand-made gluten free crust but watched as flour from non-gluten free pizza fell into pizza sauce. The way the kitchen is setup negates the effort put in to make gluten free crust. Hope they make needed changes to make this another viable GF option.
