I’ve been here multiple times and never had an issue. Usually order a chicken bowl with black beans and fresh veggies and have always had a good experience. If you mention you have an allergy, they will change their gloves. Not everyone there knows about allergies/sensitivities, but usually at least one person seems aware to take precautions.
Staff was not educated but did call manager. Online menu shows what has gluten. Chips and queso are not safe. Chips don’t have a dedicated fryer. Had a chicken bowl and didn’t feel safe. They didn’t change gloves but probably would have if I’d asked. Overall just uneducated staff.
This chain is one of the worst places to eat if you have problems with gluten. Their gluten free menu is very bland and boring. I wish I could give them zero stars for this.
Would not recommend. I followed the online allergen menu and asked the worker to confirm that my order was gluten free. Even so, I got all my gluten symptoms.
The staff has been very accommodating with our Celiac issues. They even use items not on the bar to make sure there is no cross contamination. Love this place!
No GF menu. I ate strictly off their allergen list and still reacted. Chips are fried in same fryer are flour tortillas. I ate a burrito bowl. Even though all ingredients had no gluten in the allergen list, I still reacted!
No GF menu. I ate strictly going by their allergen list and still reacted.
Everything is a cross contamination risk
At the Concord Mills food court. We had a chicken burrito bowl. They were great about changing gloves. I went online to their website, and they have an allergen chart.
Avoid this location, if you have Celiac or are have significant sensitivity. Cross contamination is a problem...just watch them make a "tortilla pizza" to see how the process creates cross contamination in all ingredients.Additionally, the manager refused to let my son have the meat from his "steak"quesidillla on the side...as if dictating how my son must eat his meal.
Basic Mexican just like a chipotle with more options but the chips and steak are not gf so be careful and check the nutrition menu on their website. I normally get steak and chicken so very glad I checked. They were a little disorganized too but could have just been a bad day. It felt like they were as busy as a chipotle with about 1/3 of the customers.
Nothing I could eat that was ensured to be gluten free
Outstanding food. Very fresh. Almost everything is gf. Sadly the chips are not gf, but the server knew that. The server also changed gloves when I told him I could not have gluten. I've been there twice and felt good with no reaction either time. Highly recommend!
I would not recommend eating here. I knew when I started asking the staff about gluten that I should have turned around and walked out. But my family was hungry, so we stayed. I have not felt this sick in a long time. Very disappointed and frustrated in the lack of any knowledge of gluten contains ingredients.
Friendly staff- very aware and accommodating
GF chips would be great. Otherwise great options
Restaurant was clean and looked nice but they are not celiac friendly. We asked for their gluten free menu and we received their allergen list, which states that all items are prepared using the same surfaces, machines, fryers, etc and said that there is ample opportunity for cross-contamination. Unfortunately we had to leave and did not order any food.
Order gf items on gf nachos, or eat them alone.
Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. This is a chipotle-like place with corn tortillas and/or bowls so lots of options and combinations. Kid friendly as well.
beans are not gluten free but chips and queso are ad well as other toppings.
