Not for celiacs , they explained to me that food is not really gluten free

Went in and asked for a gluten free menu, they said they didn't have one. They said they have gluten free buns. Did not want to risk it, plus they were kinda rude.

They told me straight up that all they have GF is their buns, and everything else is cross-contaminated. No dedicated fryer, no GF menu.
Non-existent. Just buns.
No menus, either. You have to go online to find their menu.

Soooo disappointed in Boomerjacks! This used to be one of my go-to safe places, but when we walked in last night they had a new menu. The first thing I noticed was that they did not have items marked GF. The super-friendly server told us that they had recently changed their menu and were no longer noting things as GF because they were no longer able to control cross contamination. I asked her to check in the kitchen to see if fries and wings were still being cooked in a dedicated fryers and she came back and said they had changed things around and everything was cross contaminated now. I am appreciative that they were honest and upfront, but still disappointed that we have lost a restaurant that our family loved because it was too much trouble for them to continue to serve safe gluten free items.
No
They have recently changed the menu and there are no longer GF indicators on the menu nor was our server familiar with what was or was not GF. They do still have GF buns and fries, but that is about it.
Started feeling sick today after eating here. I took leftovers home and tested my food with my Nima Sensor and gluten was found. I called and the manager, Steve, told me he was sorry but they are gluten sensitive not gluten free. I won’t be eating here again, not safe for Celiacs. **I now go to the Grapevine location. They are much more attentive and understanding, I’ve never had a problem!!

Got a carry out order the bar. Staff seemed knowledgeable and happy to help. Had both fries and potato skins with no issues.
Ate here before a Cowboys game and I highly recommend it. Was thrilled to have my questions about how they handle gluten-free requests be met with thorough and positive answers. Was able to get some delicious loaded cheese fries as well as a decent burger on a gluten free bun! Such a treat to get a filling, sports-bar meal on a game day without having to worry about accidentally having something with gluten.
Yes
Happy to see the GF indicators on the menu. There’s not a ton of GF but I sure love the potato skins.
Yes
Spoke with the waitress and she spoke with the cook and manager and assured me they would take precautions. When my burger came out it was on a regular bun. I asked about it, they apologized and brought out another. It was obvious that it was the same burger just switched to a new bun. I thought it would be okay, but I got sick from it. :(

The dedicated fryer is nice. GF bun is decent. Decent burger. Staff education seems pretty good, and checking with a manager is always a good idea. Been here 3 times now and haven't been sick once.
Yes
Has GF items on menu. Host and waiter both were knowledgable about the importance of safety. Burger was one of the best I have had.
Yes
The best gluten free hamburger I’ve had in a long time , also their customer service is awesome
Yes
No gluten free options this location. Manager was no help. I will be calling the owner. since other locations have gf options.
service is horrible waiting 20 minutes for someone to take my order
I ordered the grilled chicken club with fries (GF fryer) on GF bun - very good and didn’t get sick! The ranch dressing was soooo good!
Yes
Great gluten free buns! Delicious! The kids (both have severe gluten intolerance) LOVE the burgers!
Yes
The chips are gluten free so that’s a plus. They offer gluten free buns but I have been served a burger with fried onion straws multiple times despite ordering gluten free.
No
The menu has gluten free items noted with a little GF. They have gluten free buns available for burgers, and the waitress told me they have a fryer specifically for gluten free items. I had the bacon cheddar burger with no bun and a side of sweet potato fries and I was very pleased with my meal! It’s been hours now and I haven’t gotten sick. Very impressed with the waitress and how knowledgeable she was!

One of my favorite restaurants - gluten free food comes out on blue paper, and they have a dedicated fryer. Food quality and service are great - extremely consistent. It seems like staff is trained very well and a manager is always checking in. Love the cheese fries, and love that a fresh garden salad is an option for a side dish. This place does get very busy in the evenings, so we try to go for lunch. Maybe the less positive reviews are from dinner time?

Great burger! Best I've had in a long time. Friendly service. Lots of tvs if you're into that!

I have Celiac and I ate at Boomerjack's last night. I was so hopeful (naive?), but I was 100% "glutened" there. (Still feeling the effects as I type this.) I live less than 10 min away, so this is very disappointing.
It seems the only way you can truly trust a restaurant is if they're exclusively GF or if the chef is highly aware of Celiac and makes sure his STAFF is well-trained & conscientious when preparing GF offerings.
I understand that it isn't easy for a restaurant to provide GF offerings, but Boomers shouldn't be promoting a dedicated GF menu if they aren't willing to properly train their staff & ensure that protocols are enforced. They're playing around with people's health.

All GF items on their menu are marked with a "GF" (no separate menu to ask for). Their burger was tasty and they were able to make my fries in a designated fryer to not cross contaminate. Items that are GF will come out on a blue sheet of paper.
Staff was attentive and friendly. Nice environment. GF was appealing except that they made a mistake and gave us gluten... so we got very sick. We should have double checked to make sure they were serving us gluten free. Red Robin puts a little flag on a burger that is gluten free; that would have been more reassuring.

Great food great staff. Busy nights are hectic but as long as you specify gluten free they will have everything cooked the correct way. No special menu needed! Gluten free is marked on the normal menu with lots of options!!! :)
My husband really loves this place so we eat here pretty often (probably twice a month) and I've never had any problems with gluten here. They have a gluten free menu, and their food is really good.

The staff was great. They where very cautious about being gluten sensitive. Highly recommended. Good job staff and thank you.

I ask for my sandwich to be GF and the mashed potatoes. However, when the food came out it was not GF they have blue paper to tell if it was prepared GF and it wasn't on that and my bun looked the same as my boyfriends. Another waitress (not the one that took the order) saw that something was wrong and came over and asked what was wrong and noticed it was not right. I got it fixed but I think they just switched out the bun and put it on the different paper because I got really sick after eating it. Really hesitate to go back.
There are quite a few gf options, but some waitstaff are not properly educated. manager took care of it, though.
So, the trick here is even if the menu says gluten free, you must order it gluten free for then to use dedicated fryer. You will know if it was prepared properly because food will be served on blue and white checked paper. I love the GF super bowl nachos with brisket and the California Ranch Chicken Sandwich the best. Also the ranch dressing here is the best.
Yes
Great GF burgers and fries. I've never had contamination issues here. My only issue is flies because of the opening to the patio. UPDATE Be cautious here. They are not as careful as in the past. They've brought me a regular bun the last two times I've eaten there. Flies are still an issue. I'm done with this place.

Lots of gluten free options! Even wings!!!

We eat here all the time and the food and service is great. I get the California Ranch Chicken Sandwich on a GF bun with GF fries. One daughter gets a Bacon Cheeseburger on a GF bun with GF fries. The other daughter gets GF potato skins, GF chicken wings, and/or a GF bun by itself with butter. Everything we've eaten there is great! GF food comes out on a blue and white checked piece of paper, so you can feel confident it actually is GF.
Yes
Local oven gf buns are very good and the staff are trained. Fries can be cooked in a dedicated fryer.
They have an awesome gf menu! I gave them one star because of the cockroach crawling down the wall while we were eating.
I love this place! Lots of gf options labeled on regular menu. Great gf buns!
Yes
Sick every time we eat here.
This place is pretty good. They have a pretty good gf menu. I have gotten sick before from here so I'm hesitant to go back.
Amazing food!!! Loved it!!! Amazing staff!!!! Just a great place!!!!
Yes
I had the California Burger twice because it was so delicious! The bun was amazing. They have a nice variety of food and its labeled as GF on the regular menu. Loaded fries and potatoe skins are also very good!
We have eaten here many times due to my husband's gluten intolerance. We can both find good food here, and he loves the gf hamburger buns they serve! He has not had any problems any of the times we have gone.
