On ordering and mentioning gluten free, the waiter advised that the manager would need to take my order to ensure safety. The manager was very thorough and explained the extensive kitchen cleaning routine for gluten free items and preparation, as well as other rules (the food would also be placed in a separate collection area to avoid contamination or mix ups.) The manager even checked my drink order to make sure it was gluten free. There is a separate fryer for gluten free items.
Went last night to TGI’s which was a big thing for us with celiac and my kid with ARFID. They immediately asked about allergies and sensitivities. As soon as I said I was celiac they brought the manager who then served us everything. Their app clearly identified the foods that were gluten free, I was able to have choice and eat of the special 2 for £24 menu. The food was amazing and the service second to none!
Attentive server and manager but very limited choice now available for my partner. This was always our "go to" place. Now they have a clunky and tricky to use app for the GD options. The app limited choices were for example, no chicken dishes, 1 rib dish, 1 burger and ...well that's it. But then the server admitted the app is useless and showed us her iPad with lots more options! Also, if they can make 1 burger GF , then surely they can make them all GF by changing the bun?? Very disappointed.
Manager was attentive about allergens and gluten free options. We ordered our food but our order was put in wrong. We waited an hour to be served to receive the wrong food. They then took the food away and gave us our ordered dishes. They were okay. Both me and my friend are coeliac and we have had contamination symptoms since our meal. Would not recommend for coeliacs.
After years of eating here with no problems, last night I was seriously ill after having fajitas with GF corn wraps, except they not have been gluten free. This was even with the manager taking my order and delivering my food. I checked with the manager that these were GF wraps and he assured me he had it confirmed by the kitchen. Clearly a huge miscommunication leading to me being very ill. As an aside the toilets were absolutely filthy, doesn’t inspire confidence in the state of the kitchens
Had a great meal . Had to scan a QR code to get allergen information. The staff seemed very knowledgeable and got a manager to take my order. I had a gluten free burger with chips. It was lovely and no problems at all . The only thing was I wished they had a bit more gluten free options for us with a separate menu.
I have visited 2 times and have had an extremely different experience with both. The first time the coeliac disease was taken very seriously and the staff members were constantly checking up, we was presented with an array of options. Th staff was extremely knowledgeable. The food was great.
The second time the food caused an immediate reaction leading to a sickness for several days. The staff seemed confused and unsure and wasn’t able to certify that it would definitely be gluten free but based on the previous experience we stayed. The food didn’t have anything to indicate that it was gluten free and it most definitely wasn’t.
As soon as I mentioned no gluten, the waitress advised that the manager would come out to go through the menu and take my order. The manger (Emily - who was fantastic!) came out with a tablet which shows everything on the menu that I could eat, she advised there were separate fryers and said that some other things are not lited as gluten free because of sauces (eg) but they can always be put on the side(eg for sharing)
Made a little to much effort to make sure I had gluten free. I had a burger and chips which was OK. But when I asked for the cheese cake for desert [ i can tolerate a little cheesecake i know my own limits.] the manager wouldn't let me have it as I had ordered gluten free for my main course. My friend ordered the cheese cake and I had the recommended sorbet. Need less to say I didn't eat it. My friend had the sorbet and i had the cheesecake but we had to be sneeky about it. We had to eat it whenever he wasn't looking as he tried to watch us like a hawk. I won't be back.
Absolutely awful for choice but the staff were cautious and caring so I did feel comfortable eating there. The menu contains just 1 starter and 1 desert, the starter being potato skins, I ordered them, later to be told that the dedicated fryer was out of action therefore they couldn’t do the potato skins safely, so there was no other starter :( Main courses are slightly better, I ordered the ribs with salad - couldn’t have fries because of the fryer, my Mum however opted for the burger, well what a joke, you’d think you’d get the same burger / relishes etc but it looked like a kids menu burger, just with the ‘special’ bun, really poor effort. Desert was a sorbet… thrilling! It was quite nice to be fair but if you’re out for a meal a proper pudding would be nice! To top it all, the hot drinks machine was broken that day so we couldn’t have a coffee to fill up!
Love this place, the service, the food absolutely delicious.
Staff seemed on point as I had a seperate menu for Gluten Free. My meal was said to be authorised by their manager. My meal came with a wooden pick with a purple top - I assume this means that its Gluten Free. However, it was busy and I was slightly concered if the franchise has a seperate prep & cooking section for GF.
Manager had to take my order which was a nice sign. I wouldn’t trust Friday’s back in the States but restaurants are much more knowledgeable and accommodating of food allergies here in the UK so we decided to give it a go for my sons Birthday (he really wanted to come!). I had several gf/df options to choose from and they even had a sorbet/fruit sundae I could try. They steered me away from the ribs which were on the gf menu because I’m celiac and not just gluten intolerant. WIN! All in all, a better than expected visit.
Staff amazing , knowledgable and helpful. Great separate menu and delicious food.
Separate preparation area for dishes on the gluten free menu so no chance of cross contamination. Only slight issue is that there isn't much choice on the GF menu
Fantastic separate GF menu for all of the family
Brilliant restaurant takes intolerances and allergies very seriously
Brilliant service. They gave a separate menu and the The manager came over to take order and check all the ingredients were gluten free. He then assured it was cooked in a separate part of the kitchen.
Amazing. Lovely food and plenary of options available to order. Great menu.
Complete gluten free and lactose free menus. Only manager allowed to take order and bring food. Staff and kitchen clean down and change utensils before making your food.
