Ordered the hot honey chicken plate (but substituted baked sweet potatoes for Mac & cheese). Chose garlic aioli sauce. It was great! Asked server to change gloves and she did, no problem.
The menu is very good to avoid gluten and other allergenes but the broccoli was half burnt, half raw. The sweet potato was burnt outside, still the chicken abd rice were yummy. Wouldn’t go again if there are alternatives around.
Good food and good food safety!
I said gluten allergy and they immediately changed gloves and washed hands. Then when someone else forgot to, they apologized unprompted (before I even realized it could be a problem), changed gloves, and remade the bowl for me. They clearly all understood the importance of avoiding cross contamination and I felt very taken care of. I will certainly be coming back!
This was a great and reasonably priced option for the GF eater. The online menu is not as informative but the onsite menu has clear GF and other allergen information. The chef was also on site when I ordered and listed the ingredients in the homemade dressings too! So delish as well and with healthy and fresh options.
If you’re looking for quickly prepared fresh food, this is the place. The menu indicates food allergens, including gluten free. My personal favorite is the GF salmon bowl and brownie (made with sweet potatoes!) They also have a selection of sandwiches, bowls, salads and desserts that DO contain gluten (check the menu). The staff is always welcoming.
Great cafe with ‘home cooking’. Excellent selection of gf options (90% of the menu). Vegetable, salad and protein bowls. Highly recommend.
Great gf options. very little with gluten here
I have had takeout of the charred chicken, rice, greens, broccoli, carrots and dressings, and the flourless brownie twice. Great food. Most of the menu is GF except for two items (mac and cheese, and cookies).
Employees clearly indicated which items on the line were not GF. No clear markings otherwise. Good flavor and portions.
Loved the food! It was so good, I got the salmon and broccoli and a couple of other things i cant really remember but it tasted great abd they even had a menu for me to look at with all the things containing gluten. They have good options even though most of their meat has gluten in it. I cannot guarantee the safeness of the cross contamination because it seems like they grill everything in the back. Workers where nice but in a rush to get my order done. Over all a good experience will be coming again!
When I said I had a gluten allergy, the server said, “beautiful, I’ll make sure you don’t get anything crunchy.” Also seems like a high risk for cross contact…
Not the best experience has I ended up being "glutenized". The menu has the options marked as being GF or not. At the counter i have also refered that besides GF itens, crosscontamination would also need to be assured. At this point my first fears arose has the girl taking my order was not understanding what crosscontamination meant. Explained it in more than one way, but unfortunately ended up having a very bad night, spending a part of it in the bathroom.
They are supper knowledgeable about what is gluten free it even has it on the menu. Almost everything is gluten free here and it’s super clean. I highly recommend it!
Delicious food! Ate here twice with no issues. Highly recommend.
Dig is fantastic about labeling allergens in all their dishes, and the build-your-own bowls mean you can tailor your meal to your specific needs. The food is fresh, healthy, and so good! It’s a lunch/dinner staple for me.
Dig is one of my favourite restaurants. Their food is so tasty, fresh, filling, and fairly priced. Most of the menu is gluten free too, so there’s lots of choice! I highly recommend this place to anyone, but especially people who need gluten free.
Came here for a quick dinner. Great experience! Told the server about my allergy and he called over the manager to help me select items. Almost everything is GF, cheap, and delicious. I got GF meatballs, rice, sweet potatoes, and some other sides. They even had GF brownies and cookies! Quick service. No symptoms after. Would definitely recommend!
Great selections for those with various allergies, but this benefit is negated by cross-contamination. I’ve eaten their food many times, and it seems to be around 50% chance of having a reaction from what should be a completely gluten free meal. Great idea, needs better execution
Tasty food
Shocked at how different my experience was from others: Went in for the first time and asked the associate what the options are if I have a gluten intolerance. “Gluten... that’s dairy, right?” I said no, it means if I eat anything containing gluten or that has touched gluten, I get very sick. She looked around at the other staff: No one could answer the question. She said she would have to get her manager. I said never mind and left! I can’t trust a place where the staff is clueless about vital allergy information.
So yummy and so many GF options. The prices are very affordable and the portions are large.
GF dream. I love the broccoli, brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes & kale and cashew salad.
Great option for fast food, good & attentive staff and a lot of gluten free options! They use cast iron skillets and Dutch ovens for their food but nothing is gluten free designated, so there's the potential for cross contamination. I would not recommend eating there if you are Celiac
I think DI’s are getting smarter and more accommodating. Server was confident and also double checked the gf list and with another, possibly the manager. She also changed her gloves and was the only one to handle our food.
Everything was gluten free except the Mac and cheese and Farro and we were told the cook, prep and handling were all separated and safe. I enjoy the taste and quality of the food and would be pleased if we could count on DI’s in the future.
Good food and so far seems safe. Thanks!
There’s not enough good things to say about this place.
Love it. Celiac safe for sure, and as a celiac I love eating here!!! Delicious, healthy and filling!
Everything was delicious (especially the herb-roasted chicken!), and I loved the interesting flavor combinations and the freshness. So many gluten-free options, and labeled clearly on the menu.
Delicious food with good choices. This place was so good. I loved that you can order what you want and almost everything was gluten free. They plate right in front of you and change gloves. They are very good to explain ingredients. I am dairy free too and they told me which items had butter on them. I had a bowl with lettuce, grilled chicken, sweet potato and broccoli. I skipped the sauces, but they had gluten free ones too. Very delicious and for tourists, it is right on the freedom trail. I highly recommend.
Everything except 2 items on the line is gluten free. There is an element of trust regarding cc due to the quick pace & no glove changes. Every server only touches serving tools & each item has designated tongs so it’s low risk, but still a risk. Delicious, quick, healthy & affordable meal on the go. Celiac & did not get sick.
Dig Inn has become my go-to for a quick, safe, gluten-free meal. There are locations throughout Manhattan and maybe beyond. I'll copy/paste this review to the three locations I have been to.
This is a build-a-bowl kind of place with a good homecooked vibe. The only things that have gluten are the farro base and macaroni and cheese. There are clearly marked on their menus. Staff are knowledgeable and should be able to clue you in on any seasonal items that show up. I typically get rice, kale salad, cauliflower salad, and chicken breast with the garlic aioli sauce. I have also tried and very much enjoyed the salmon and the meatballs.

This set us is chipotle-style where you pick your base and they add toppings from a buffet. Most of the selections are gluten free. The food is really fresh and well prepared, with a Mediterranean and middle eastern flair. Great proteins and roasted colorful veggies.
Editing to say that sometimes it’s hit or miss with the service. They don’t seem to have a standard protocol for allergens and many times the employees don’t speak English and/or they look at me like I’m crazy if I ask them to change their gloves. But the food is good regardless, you just have to coach them a lot and be patient.
This has become my go-to dinner spot when I don't get time to cook during the week. The staff is knowledgeable and pretty much everything is safe (and healthy AND tasty)! Can't get enough of the chicken thighs and Brussels sprouts.
Super easy to put together a GF meal. Pick a protein, pick some veggie sides, on a bed of greens or rice or both. (Staff said the faro and mac n cheese were the gluten sides to avoid) I want one of these near my house. Also groovy little dining area on the lower level. Not fancy, but great.
So good! Vegan options, gluten free options and absolutely tasty! Might eat here more this weekend.
Love this place. Simple menu, almost all is GF, healthy, quick, not too pricey. Ate here almost every day when i was in NY for business.
