It's HARD to find a Mexican restaurant that mentions GF and has vegetarian options. This one checks both options. I felt confident in their GF claim because they specifically note which options are NOT GF, including one that seems to include soy sauce. If a restaurant declares it's soy sauce, I feel good about it. I didn't ask any questions about CC.

NEW: They now use WHEAT FLOUR tortillas for breakfast burritos. Wheat flour tortillas are prepared on the same grill as the GF corn tortillas. The website has not been updated to reflect this new gluten ingredient and is misleading about GF items in the kitchen. Guisados chain is not allergen aware and no longer safe for Celiacs. Sad because the tacos were really good!

Have eaten here dozens of times and it always goes well. The shrimp taco and tamales have gluten and nothing else. I see that this place is getting bad reviews for cross contamination but so far they’ve been accommodating to me and I think it’s a superb & convenient gf option.

Defines the quick and tasty meal. I usually get shrimp, but not fond of the peppers. Just wish they had tortilla chips, beans and rice.

This place is a must not only for GF but anyone in LA. World class tacos at fast casual spot. Tortillas are fresh and incredibly good - flavorful and moist.

Guisados’ menu is nearly entirely gluten-free. The only items containing gluten are shrimp tacos and vegan peppers tacos, as well as their tamales.
Their tamales are kept in a separate pot to keep them warm. That said, I haven’t had a chance to ask what surfaces their tamales are prepared on, so I am not sure about the potential risk for cross-contamination.

Soooooo spicy! Their pork tacos and chicken tinga made my lips painful they were so spicy. I like spicy food but this was another level, and stopped me enjoying the whole experience.
Mole chicken tacos were nice but perhaps needed something to make them a bit more interesting in flavour.
No chips, so salsa, no guacamole.

I have celiac. Tamales were recently changed to have gluten and I was unaware. I ended up getting glutened at another location, one that does not have a profile on this website but it feels important to let other celiacs know to not trust them. When I emailed Guisado’s, they tried to gaslight me into thinking that tamales had always had gluten until I showed a previous menu where that was not marked as having gluten and then they never responded. Makes me feel like they really don’t care about being safe. If you’re not super sensitive, get the approved gf tacos but the tamales suck

I eat here whenever I go down to LA and have never had an issue. I don’t eat meat, so I get the veggie/vegan tacos. The food is delicious and the staff is helpful. Update: I believe the shrimp is not gf from what staff mentioned. I don’t order that but good to know.

This location is a small building in a parking lot surrounded by business buildings. Tacos were amazing with fresh made corn tortillas and the horchata with espresso was a first. Everything is gluten-free except the tamales, shrimp, and vegan peppers.

Ate here, loved the taste, loved how confident the servers were about celiac safety….BUT I was violently sick 2 hours after eating. My gluten-loving husband ate all the same stuff as me and was fine. Sad day for this taco lover.

I ordered 7 taco items off the menu and I got glutened pretty badly. I normally go to Honey Hi, but wanted to try something new. Don’t go here celiacs, only go to Hone Hi because Honey Hi doesn’t have gluten in their restaurant.

Not safe for celiacs. High chance of cross contamination as your tacos are grilled next to glutenous food. If you aren’t sensitive I guess it is worth a try.

Most delicious local taco chain in LA, hands down! Be sure to get a few since authentic tacos are smaller than you think. Everything on the menu is GF except the Camarones (contains soy sauce -> wheat) and the beer. They make all their tortillas in-house from corn. They have delicious horchata & Agua Fresca but ngl I could drink that mole sauce as a beverage 👀😂
I’m a sensitive celiac and never had issues here! Also their spicy scale is not messing around so if you’re not used to eating Mexican/Thai/Indian level 10 spicy food avoid the ones with 3+ chilies next to the name

So many choices, so little time. 3 tacos per person should fill up an adult. I had 2 different pork, Chuleta and Chorizo, and the Quesadilla. Rapid service, fine atmosphere, comfortably warm on a cold rainy night. All naturally gluten free. Slightly spicy, but enough to be very tasty.

Man, I hate that I have to say this because I was genuinely hopeful based on reviews. After having a lengthy conversation with the cashier who assured me there was no risk of cross-contact, I watched a cook throw the sole gf-containing menu item (the shrimp) on the grill right next to the fish I had just ordered and used the same spatula to flip both. No idea if I would have been glutened, but there is no way I am coming back simply because they’re too lax on safety. Not worth the risk.

This place tasted great but I’m pretty sure my family of 3 all had slight gluten reactions. We went when it was really busy and when I asked about making sure everything was GF the cashier was a little confused. Eat at your own risk, but it was pretty delicious!

No problem eating here. I enjoyed most of the menu and didn’t pay for it later (gut-wise, we didn’t dine-n-dash).
Ordered four tacos: two black bean and two grilled fish. Did not feel well for three days after. This was two weeks ago.
Cheap cute taco place. All but shrimp and specials are gluten free. Staff very aware of gluten
