They gave me gluten pizza even though I ordered gluten free
Now throwing up
Only gluten sensitive options outside of gluten free pizza crust was a singular salad and ribs.
All matchbox pizzas can be made with cauliflower crust. There are a number of entrees that are gluten-sensitive. There are no dedicated fryers.
Wonderful staff, delicious food. I highly recommend the crab & avo appetizer and the salmon salad. The bartenders pour awesome cocktails as well. We will definitely be back!
I asked the waitress 3 times if the pizza dough was GF. I even asked her to take it to the kitchen to ask them to make sure it was GF. She was so nice! It was SO good I couldn’t believe it! She said they make their own. There’s no dedicated GF oven, so it’s not celiac friendly. Best gluten free pizza ever!
There is NO gluten free menu at this restaurant. They have "gluten sensitive" dough, but they prepare and cook all of the pizzas on the same surfaces, so there is no guarantee of being "gluten free". When I asked if there was anything else I could order, and she said the Salads possibly. So she had to go back and find out which dressings are GF (note: the sever said they all were). I ended up gertting the pear + apple salad, which was pretty good, but no protein, so not filling, and honestly the server did not really know without asking, so I didn't want to ask about the seasoning on the chicken, and delay the order further... But honestly, if it was me again, I'd just save myself the headache and go somewhere else.
Enjoyed this restaurant. Went for the first time. My waiter was very knowledgeable on gf. They did have a gf menu with a nice variety of choices. They have a fantastic pizza menu and all were available on a gf crust. I had fig and prosciutto. The pizzas are prepared in a wood-fire pizza oven. Nice touch. Will definitely go back.
They have gluten sensitive items, but are unable to avoid cross contamination
My first time to this place.
This place is awesome. They can do any pizza gluten free. Great crust too - which can be substituted for flat bread on the appetizers. Very impressed.
Stopped by for happy hour. They had options but they aren't marked on the menu. I knocked off a star for that. I can handle a shared fryer so I shared chips and onion dip with my husband. They must have flagged out ticket bc the manager came out to make sure I was ok with the shared fryer. Its reassuring that they were paying attention.
Ordered the Crab & Avacado appetizer (w/o the flatbread), and the NY Strip for dinner. Great care was taken to keep my food from being cross-contaminated during preparation, cooking, and serving, and the food was delicious!
The waitress thought that potatoes had gluten in them.
I'd been avoiding Matchbox like the plague after being diagnosed with Celiac Disease. Last night I was forced to eat there so I thought I would give it a go. The Waitress explained to me that the pizza and Dough was made in an area that was separated from the main kitchen. She recommended that the salads might be the most safe. The salads are mostly full of things that are not Celiac Safe- but the salad I had was very delicious, despite lack of ingredients. I did leave with a tiny headache and some stomach feelings, but that could have been due to the other ingredients. The "Gluten Sensitive Menu" is pretty small compared to their regular menu. I don't imagine I'll go back.
