I feel mostly confident about eating here. I have celiac disease but tell them it’s a wheat allergy because that’s easier for people to understand. I get the grilled boneless wings and Parmesan garlic sauce. That’s it. I don’t trust it a ton but it works when people I’m with want to go there for something different.
Delicious wings and chili. Angry orchard cider available in bottles. Server knowledgeable about allergies and sensitivity. Terrific house-made bleu cheese dip for wings. Menu items clearly marked for vegetarian or gluten free. Nice sports screens around restaurant. Reasonable prices.
This place was very accommodating to my allergy needs. Menu items are clearly marked GF (gluten free) or LG (low gluten). It was easy to order grilled chicken “wings”. All of their salad dressings are GF as well as their classic chicken sauces. They have a full bar with options for seltzers, ciders, and vodka seltzers. Unfortunately, no beer options. I had the grilled chicken “wings” with mild sauce and a garden salad with ranch. No issues to report.
Their grilled wings are gluten-free and most of the sauces are gluten-free, they don't really have to many sides that are 100% safe. They have low gluten free options witch means they are cooked close to thing that arnt gluten-free, I toke the risk with the fries(I have celiac so it was risky) but I was fine after!
They have a few items GF, but they can't guarantee cross-contamination. They have an allergen menu, but the one online is probably more up to date. A lot of items say 'maybe.'
With a dedicated fryer this is one of the few places I can have fries. My family loves the wings. It's a great place for families too. The staff seem knowledgeable. I have eaten here a few times and I've never gotten sick. They no longer have a dedicated fryer. It’s not on my list of places we can go anymore.
Very friendly and attentive staff, good food
I was looking for a gluten free restaurant and I stumbled across this. I was diagnosed with celiac a while ago and I know what I can have. Many of the things that are marked on the menu low gluten are made in the same fryer as gluten things. Very tasty. I loved the wings here. Gluten friendly, but know your limitations for cross contact.
Being newly diagnosed with Celiac I’m having to learn to eat all over again. Because of this app I decided to go ahead and eat here with my husband last night. I got the Harvest Salad which was amazing and listed as gf. However within a half an hour of being home guess where I needed up! All the symptoms kicked in full force. I’m not sure what part of my meal was cross contaminated but it was very discouraging. It is going to be challenging for sure.
Grilled boneless wings are gluten free and they will grill them on foil if you ask to help prevent any cross contamination on the grill. Sauces are indicated as GF on the menu. Traditional bone-in wings are also listed as GF. Really tasty! I think these are the best wings around, they give you good sized pieces of chicken and have a great variety of sauces.
This was horrible. I'm positive my celiac son and I were glutened. We order the lemon pepper sauce, which is gluten free on the menu. After the meal, they told us they subbed the lemon pepper seasoning instead of sauce, which says it contains wheat on the allergen list. This all in spite of us telling them we have a gluten allergy. Will never return.
Food was just ok, staff was friendly. Good price for gluten free options
It shows on menu what is gluten free. Mostly wings and salad. Fun place and really good food. They tell you which things are gluten free but fried in same fryer for people that can’t have that. I have celiac and I ate the fries and didn’t have an issue. Their garlic Parmesan fries were delish! Also the blue cheese dressing ! Yum!
I believe that Buffalo Wings and Rings is making a serious effort to cater to customers who are gluten sensitive or Celiac. The menu labels gluten free (GF) and low gluten (LG). I asked a question about having my wings grilled instead of fried because I was worried about cross-contamination and our server told me that they have a separate fryer! They fry the boneless wings in one fryer and the traditional wings in a separate fryer. I wish I had ordered more than five wings; they were so good.
Online menu & reviews specified separate fryer, this is NOT the case at the Naperville location on 75th street & Rickert. Found corn tortilla chips and fries are cross-contaminated from sharing fryer, so off-limits for celiacs. Chili is safe (tortilla strips on top are prepackaged & gf), but chili con queso is served with tortilla chips that aren't gf. Bummed!
I have celiac disease, I read the previous comments and got a little nervous. So, I waited a day to respond to see if I got sick... I didn't! The wings were awesome and our server Aaron was really helpful. I would definitely recommend going.
Just a heads up most blue cheese and ranch dressing are gluten free...
They have A LOT of menu items marked Gluten Free, but they are NOT Celiac friendly. Salads with Bleu cheese, fries and traditional wings fried in the same fryer as breaded items. Realizing they had no clue about Celiacs, I nervously opted for the chili marked GF minus the tortilla strips it came with, that they fry with breaded items. waiting for my order now. I have a feeling I'm going to regret this.
The first time I went they told me they have a dedicated fryer for the gluten free. The second time they said they did not, even though it's written on their gluten free menu that they do have a separate fryer. The manager was super cool though and saved me from certain glutening. Now that I know though, I will go back.
The menu specified gluten free options and there were lots. Fries were gluten free. I am not celiac but I do react to gluten and I was A-Ok after my lunch! Big selection of sauces and practically every single one was GF. 10/10 would come back. Not 100% sure if celiac though, but delicious.
The first visit there the management said that they had dedicated fryers for their wings and fries. The second time we visited they said they didn't have dedicated fryers for the wings and fries. I assume the second time we went the manager knew what celiac was. I don't think I will return.
