Excellent food and Lisa was wonderful. They have 12” and 16” GF pizzas and all of their cheesecakes are gluten free. All of the pizzas are put in the same oven, but I didn’t have any issues. There is no separate fryer. It’s a small place and they’re set up mainly for takeout because of this, but very nice employees.
The GF crust is thin and crispy. Great sauce and lots of squeaky cheese. Yum!
Ordered tonight. Will update. Called store, they stated they have a crust they have frozen and heat it up a little, add toppings, then bake. It’s on its own pan. They said they could take extra precautions about cross contamination and they always use a fresh pizza cutter. Pizza was tasty but spicy for my MN mouth. Tolerable, but young kids weren’t a fan.
We live in Hugo and order from here all the time. My daughter has celiac and is very sensitive, she has never gotten sick. They are very knowledgeable about celiac and take great precautions with cross contamination. The pizza is great! We order regular crust and she gets her own GF pizza baked on a pan. Hers is not as great heated up the next day but we haven’t found a GF crust that is.
This is the best gluten-free/friendly crust in the Twin Cities! Thin, crispy and with the signature Minnesota style red sauce (with a kick!). The Apple Valley location is family owned, active in the community with fundraising and events, and always offers service with a smile. Love these guys!
Good pizza crust. I’ve never gotten sick from eating here.
Best GF Pizza ever.
Crust is chewy! Really good! Their sauce was too spicy for me but really good crust for gfree!
Pizza is one of those things that has been one of those pretty slow developers. It has been pretty much cardboard crust, followed by mediocre sauce and basic toppings. Almost like companies made it because they had to not because they wanted to. I travel a lot and have eaten GF pizza in a lot of placed throughout the country and this is without a doubt, my hands down favorite. GF pizza will never be as good as the no GF simply because it really is next to impossible to completely reproduce the same texture and finish. This is about as close as you will get with thin crust. It's crispy and chewy. The toppings are the same as all of their regular pizzas and they are the same size. Most places make you pay more for a smaller pizza. I don't have celiac but do have a little gluten intolerance so it doesn't make me sick but it does give me a crushing headache and happy to say, I feel great. Thanks Red's Savoy!
