We were there on a Monday night. The special was a full slab for two. We got it without sauces. Our waiter brought all the different varieties of Bbq sauces to the table. All are gluten free. The drinks were $4.00 during happy hour. Food was great!! Drinks were great. We would go back there again. They did have a gf dinner menu.
They have a separate gluten-free menu. They use a common fryer, so avoid anything fried if you have highly sensitivity. Ribs and collards were DELICIOUS! Server was very nice and knowledgeable. There was an error and the kitchen sent my food out with cornbread, but she caught it and had it remade for me. Highly recommend!
The restaurant has multiple options that are naturally gluten free along with all of there bbq sauces. The servers were extremely knowledgeable on all ingredients in the foods and where she didn't she confirmed( I have more than just gluten allergy). I ordered a slab of ribs with fries and no corn bread. They do not have a dedicated frier of that is a concern. Most of the menu is gluten-free normally or can easily be adjusted to be gluten-free.
Very nice lunch. All sauces are gluten free. Waiter was very helpful. He even asked the kitchen to make me a special dish of banana pudding without the. Okie d in it. We had the burnt rib ends. Yum
They could not find the GF menu. So I got the salad and they left off the croutons but gave me a different dressing than what I asked for. I called, since I got take out, and no one could tell me if the dressing they gave me was gluten free. I ate a very dry salad but the smoked chicken was good.
Hickory smoked wings were amazing. The staff was knowledgeable and they have a menu with allergens clearly marked for every dish.
Our waitress said there wasn't a gluten free menu (could be due to covid) but she did get us an allergen printout to reference. Our daughter had the smoked wings, kids ribs and apple slices and a lemonade. She thought it was delicious and had no reactions.
Has a GF menu at this writing expecting new version. Menu list variety of GF ribs... warning: BBQ sauces contain modified food starch! Akin to gluten and may cause symptomatic reaction(s).
The server was aware of celiac and very helpful. I had a stuffed potato with pulled pork. They were unable to provide oil and vinegar for salad and I don’t chance prepared dressing so they gave me coke slaw. My friends had ribs and enjoyed them. My friend from Greenville SC reminded us we had eaten in the Sticky Fingers there.
Menu labeled gf however they share a fryer. Their spices do not say gf on the bottle but that’s what they use. Baked beans are from Bush’s can and green beans are from a can too (per waitress). Talked with the manager and he was clueless. Very disappointed, but thankful I didn’t get sick.
Awesome BBQ. The smoked pulled chicken was amazing. Every sauce I checked was marked as GF, so lots of choices.
Note - I was told that the gluten free menu has changed a little from the printed copy, but lots of choices still. They may not have the gf buns, the host told me they didn't have them anymore. But don't let that deter you, you can find something else great to eat on the menu.
We ordered off the GF menu and the manager told us they had a new cook and the dedicated fryer was possibly contaminated. Better options in charleston for GF bbq.
Ate there twice on our 3 day stay in Charleston. Had the wings, ribs, smoked chicken and brisket. All sauces are gluten free. Cole slaw and beans are gluten free. So many options on their gluten free menu. Great staff that were so helpful and knowledgeable each time we were there. I’m extremely sensitive and ate there with complete confidence.
We went here many times during our stay in Charleston and I did not get sick one time! The servers were not surprised about celiac disease like they had never heard of it before, they did offer up different options and were helpful! I felt safe eating here and I could relax. I asked the kitchen staff to change gloves but they already knew about cross contamination! Awesome! The food is excellent!
While they have a separate menu, nothing is prepared apart from gluten items. One of our plates came out with toast on it despite being very clear with the server. The server was astonished that we would have an issue because “it came with it” and her tone of voice about having it “completely remade” and huff i was made me feel like they just sent the same plate back out. The portions were terribly small and the green beans were awful. Sauces were delicious and the beans were good. We had ribs, brisket and pulled pork.
Brought bread out on my order after I told them I was Gluten free. BBQ was average
