One of the best gluten free pizza crusts I’ve ever had. It does have a dark coloring so at first I thought it was burnt but it wasn’t at all. I think it’s just the color of the crust. I’m not a big fan of red sauce though so I asked for white sauce instead and it was delicious. Did not get sick.
Location- Rittenhouse Rd (Queen Creek Marketplace) The best GF pizza I have found so far. Staff ensured the safety for Celiacs. Owners family member has Celiac, so staff understands the importance of no cross contamination. Will definitely go back :)
Edited: I’ve changed my review to unsafe. Despite conversations with management 3 out of 4 times my son has been very sick from the GF pizza. We give up. We will have to find somewhere else close for a safe pizza night. We’ve ordered a few times for my celiac child and I’d say only once did we suspect cross contamination. It’s a pretty big risk at any pizza joint where flour is flying. Also, we specifically asked about wings because a previous review stated that they are GF. Management states they are NOT GF, as they are fried in the same fryer as gluten products.

Really nice manager when came out to check on us. My gluten-free pizza came out soggy. I think gluten-free crust needs to be perfected before serving to the public. Frozen was better then this. But he tried!! It's a great family place and I wish they made the wings gluten-free. I don't know why they aren't??
They have gluten free pizza and will make the salad without croutons. We have eaten at Barro's many times since both of my daughters were diagnosed with celiac disease - about 18 months now. Neither one has ever gotten "glutened." Although, we did once catch a crouton crumb on a salad and had to get a new one before she ate it. Just because they are very, very good at providing a safe environment, no one is perfect - you still have to be vigilant. Both my girls love their gluten free cheese pizza. It's a very thin and crisp crust.
I have Celiac and have ordered here several times over a couple of years and never really had an issue. One time they delivered the wrong pizza, but that was a one time mistake that was obvious and corrected very quickly. The manager makes the pizza themselves to ensure risk of cross contamination is minimized.
It's $3 more for a GF pizza here but they take what they offer seriously. The manager proactively explained that it takes a little longer for a GF order because they use different pans and utensils and always keep parchment paper under the food. I've eaten at this location at least once a week for several months and never had any contamination issues.
At one time they struggled with gluten free. The past year we have eaten their on a very regular basis. We are picky about quality and think their gluten free crust has been good for a year and great for the last 6 months. They have really figured out how to cook the gluten free crust at this location.
