Mom of a 10YO Celiac here. We ate at Biaggi’s WDM on Saturday, May 28, 2023, and my daughter had GF pasta and meatballs. We informed the server she was Celiac. We didn’t even get out of the restaurant and signs of gluten poisoning began. She has been listless with vomiting, diarrhea, fevers, and headaches since Saturday.
I called Biaggi’s to let them know, in hopes of them being made aware there may need to be additional precautions taken. I was met with, “Our kitchen is a gluten kitchen and cross-contamination can happen.” Yeah, yeah. I told her I know that CC can happen, but that my daughter can handle trace amounts of CC. That it was more likely that her noodles were cooked in regular pasta water or that she was given gluten meatballs instead of GF. I told her I called so she could speak with her kitchen and let them know someone poisoned my 10YO.
She did say she would speak with the kitchen, but I felt she was simply placating me. I called because I wanted to feel heard and so someone might share what this can do to a Celiac. I have no faith that will happen, so that is the reason for this review.
If considering Biaggi’s as a “safe space,” you may want to reconsider.

The gluten free bread is amazing!! And I had the scallops with risotto and it was also amazing!! Staff very knowledgeable and large GF menu to choose from. I react to the slightest CC and did not get sick at all, will definitely go back!!

Had chicken alfredo off the GF menu. I asked for new clean boiled water for the noodles instead of the normal gluten contaminated water pot that boils all day long. The waiter said the chef can and will do this. However this morning I have my typical symptoms of being glutened and that meal was the only possible source of gluten. Curious how this happened. Maybe the waiter forgot to mark my meal as the one discussed as needing fresh pasta water. Or maybe the noodles were already pre-cooked in gluten pasta water. Often they pre-cook pasta and refrigerate it. Then they only have to warm it before serving. Maybe the chef thought I would never know he used the same pasta water. There needs to be a certain level of staff training and a motivation to take the extra time to do it right. In another group I noticed many people had a similar experience here. I would definitely not order pasta here as it is too easy for untrained staff to get it wrong. The GF bread that people have spoken of is really lame. I thought it was gross. It appears to be slices of their GF pizza crust. It comes out sliced like pizza in wedges. It's hard and crisp like pizza crust. It was edible but there was nothing to enjoy about it.

I have had good and horrible experiences. Yesterday they incorrectly packed a regular meal instead of the GF version and blamed it on a new worker. They admitted learning of mistake after I picked up carry out. I tested food on Nima tester and it showed gluten. Similar error happened to me a year ago at Biaggi. Otherwise I have had good experiences.

Seems really gluten friendly to me. I ate there last night with a small group. (I am the only one who needs gluten free food). There was a separate menu for gluten free. It was a good sized menu full of many options. There was at least 1 gf item in every category from appetizer to desert. It was the largest menu of gf options in a non- dedicated gf restaurant I had seen since being told I needed to go gluten free. I ordered the Parmesan Chicken Milano salad. (Same price as on regular menu). Most of the items on the gf menu were only $.50-$2 more on the gf menu vs standard. A few, like my salad, had no price difference. My food was brought out by a separate server from my party. My only complaint (and it is a minor one). My table mates received complementary bread. They brought me gf flat bread, but no one informed me there was a $1 charge for it. I did get 4 strips. (Well worth the $1 charge) It was plenty for 1person, but it could be a big shock at the end of your meal if your whole party requires GF "bread" and you weren't aware of the charge.

I tried Biaggi's through takeout and ordered online through the gluten free menu options. I had a safe experience and felt totally fine. However, I was disappointed in the taste of my food and the options on the menu. I saw from another review that the pizza might not be totally safe for celiacs, and the pasta options were limited. It really surprises me they don't offer a pesto sauce. A lot of celiacs can't tolerate a full cream or Alfredo sauce, and the only other option for pasta was fettuccine with meatballs and marinara. The fettuccine was overdone, and the red sauce was not very good at all. I was also disappointed that the meatballs were super sausagey instead of a beef meatball - just a preference, I know, but it would be good to be aware or note on the menu. I only ate 1/4 or 1/3 of my meal and due to the flavor and the other options available, I wouldn't go back despite the safety.

I've never gotten sick here but I also have a lactose allergy and I was recently told all their pasta sauces contain cheese, even red sauces. The pizza sauce does not so GF pizza with no cheese is still an option. Slightly disappointed but the beet salad is yummy. GF bread is a nice treat and their bacon wrapped dates are amazing.

The gluten free bread is worth the dollar they charge. It’s the same crust as the gluten free pizza. But defiantly Amazing. My daughter (child) is celiac. We had a very long wait for food and finally approached and told they messed up on the pizza. The gluten free noodles are spinach not brown rice as the online menu described. Daughter wouldn’t try because they were green but I ate them and they were delicious. Pizza came with large basil leaves baked on it and daughter was disgusted by the look. They did remake the pizza again without which then was loved by the celiac child. So if you have a picky celiac may want to ask more about the food. But overall it was good. Staff are amazing and accommodating.

Had a great meal! I ordered a GF pizza which came on a thin crust (I prefer thin crust). The toppings and sauce stayed on!(I’ve known the toppings to slide off in one sheet but not this time)
Even had creme brûlée fir dessert!
They also provided bread before the meal - it’s the same base as the pizza without toppings other than salt & garlic.
I’ll go back again!

Great place for celiacs! They asked if we wanted a gluten free menu as soon as we walked in. The menu has a great selection including my favorite, chicken parm. For $1 extra I also got my own GF bread with garlic infused olive oil. They even had a couple GF desserts.

Made a reservation for valentines weekend. We went during a slow time, afternoon during the Super Bowl. We were offered a gluten free menu you right away. Once sat the same man who just gave us the gluten free menu placed a basket of bread on our table. I did inform him no, we everything to be gluten free. The bread left crumbs on the table. Our waiter finally came by took our order. He them put the basket of wheat bread on the top back of my both bench. The waiter only came back to us once the meal was done to give us boxes and a check. The food was okay in taste but i did not feel safe with they way they kept bring the bread basket to my table .

Never expected when I was diagnosed with celiac several years ago that my "go-to" safe restaurant would be an Italian restaurant! But Biaggi's has an expansive gluten-free menu, which includes many of their favorite pasta dishes as well as a variety of non-pasta dishes, such as chicken or pork Marsala, Parmesan-crusted tilapia, risotto, salads, and pizzas. Their monthly specials can often be made GF upon request. Have eaten there many times over three years with no issues. Servers are generally very knowledgeable about GF. Pass on the upcharge gluten-free bread, though.

NOT safe for celiac. After seeing good reviews I decided to give it a try. Staff brought out gluten free bread and assured me my meal was GF and they used a separate kitchen area & utensils. I was sick within an hour of getting home and am still suffering 4 days later, my worst glutening in many years.

My family always orders the “pronto pack” take out to feed the crowd gathering at Christmas. With my celiac diagnosis this year, I was delighted to find out they had a gluten free pasta and bread option, even family style, packaged separately. The food is great and I appreciate their attention to dietary needs!

This is always a safe fall-back for a nice lunch or dinner out for me. They have a great GF menu. I also have to avoid dairy, so that limits my options, but I still have a few delicious choices. I have never been “glutened” here. GF bread for $1 so you don’t have to sit awkwardly while everyone else chows down on fresh bread and rolls, which is a nice added consideration.

I came in for a late lunch and had the chicken parmesan with a side of bread. The atmosphere is a bit on the formal side dark wood and leather , and dark. The wait staff is wonderful, it's refreshing to see service with sick attention to detail. The bread was the regular store bought Gluten-free pizza crust with olive oil and Parmesan cheese, but for only a dollar it was a good deal! The parmesan chicken was very good and cooked perfectly. The Red sauce however, missed the mark completely and lacked any herbs. It seems to me if you're going to serve sauce like that the tomatoes need to shine and taste like something that was homegrown or from a local farmers market like the sweet heirloom tomatoes I found 2 weeks ago! Instead it carried the bitter flavor of store bought.

Ordered take out for wife's birthday. We each had one of the rissoto dishes (sea scallops for one and salmon and shrimp for the other). These were fantastic even when ordered for take out! We got an order of gluten free bread which was just ok but was only $1 so it was worth it.
The menu had a dedicated gluten free section which had a wide variety of foods (from pizza to pasta and other itiallian dishes like chicken parm).

Biaggi’s is the best! I am celiac and we have been eating out here since mid pandemic, no problem! The food is always wonderful and I’ve never been glutened (the drinks are awesome too!) This Sunday we were able to go in finally and it was AMAZING!! Josh was our server and he was the best server I have had in a long time! He even knew if the seasonal menu items/ specials were gluten free without asking the kitchen! His knowledge put us at ease and he was perfectly attentive. Biaggi’s is great and reliable and we can’t thank Josh enough for going above and beyond to make our first in house experience great too!

I remember the bread here used to be so soft, amazing, and seasoned with premium herbs.
The bread I ate today was a flat cracker that probably gave me TMJ.
Pasta was very good, they use a brown rice noodle.
Service was a mess, the wait staff seated some other couple under my name and didn't even call or notify me.
I have no reason to return really.

Ordered from an extensive gluten-free menu making sure the server knew I am celiac and will become sick. I was assured she would inform the kitchen and offered gf bread. My hopes were high. I ordered Dijon salmon with gf spinach noodles and a spinach & tomato salad. Feeling off after a few bites I noticed gluten spaghetti noodles mixed in with my meal. The server apologized, I was offered another meal to take home (no thank you). It is my belief that they still cook gf pasta in gluten pasta water. Don't trust the kitchen.
