Gluten-Free at Condado Tacos

My review is twofold. My review is 5 stars. My order, nachos, was great! The food tasted great, and my stomach felt well afterwards. My husband (a gluten eater) gives the place 1 star. They served his tacos on cold tortillas. He asked them to warm them please. They served him again the same way. The tortillas were cold. He did not eat them,but had the charge removed from the bill

Condado has a bunch of locations around Columbus and this one is inside the lower.com stadium (home of the Columbus crew soccer team). They have hard corn shells so all of their tacos can be made gf. Also, they don’t have anything fried at this location so the chips are safe for celiacs. Great option if you are getting dinner at a game!

Had a fantastic experience- they gave us a full tour of the menu, lots of options Tex-mex style- tacos, nachos, street corn, bowls, dips! Gf is marked on all safe menu items. I’m quite sensitive and had no reaction. Also a cool spot overlooking Big Spring Park. And MARGS!!

Good tacos. Server was knowledgeable and understood cross contamination. Chips and lots of the dips are gf and were delicious. The flavor for the tacos were ok (heads up - the "kewl" ranch is actually fairly spicy). I did not get sick and would definitely come here again.

March 23, 2024- Similar to this chain's other locations, eating GF is easy and safe from cross-contamination. I built a bowl with slow roasted pork as my protein. Highly recommended.

Entire party of 5 all felt bloated and backed up after eating dinner here. So disappointing. They must use crappy oil and low grade food. Not an issue with gluten-free. They do have plenty of choices. Unfortunately we refuse to eat crap food.

Awesome comfortable atmosphere! Most items are gluten free! They have a dedicated fryer. I am a life long celiac and this was one of my best restaurants experiences!!

Condado is one of my go to places for nachos and queso. I almost always make my own nachos and the pulled pork is a game changer. The queso is incredible and I got my chorizo loving boyfriend to love the smoked cheddar queso with beef! It's to die for. The chips are delicious and toppings always fresh. The chipotle crema is a must on any taco or nacho! This is a staple for me!

One of the safer options in Ann Arbor. The entire menu is gluten free except for the soft shell tortillas and one sauce (the korean sauce), and there are gluten free substitutes for the soft shells. Staff is also aware of the allergy concern and will flag for the kitchen.

Even though almost everything on the menu is labeled gluten free, I got sick 3 times from Condado. At first, I thought it might have been something else, because hey, it’s labeled gluten free! Unfortunately, I think it had something to do with the fryers or cross contamination. I am a celiac and won’t be eating here again-even though I love Mexican!

Had previously been one of the few trustworthy places to order through door dash/ grub hub but after my last order I’d never go that route again. I called ahead after the order through the app and they said they “marked the order” but when it came all the tacos were in the same box mixed together with things I was allergic to. Won’t be doing that again, pass on condado if you’re looking for delivery.

Update: they seemed sincerely apologetic and offered to refund and remake the order. If you can afford to wait for a remade order maybe it’s ok- unfortunately for me in my situation it wasn’t an option so I took the refund. Still not safe, at least not unless you’ve got the option to wait for the remake.

My celiac daughter has been glutened here two times. There are only 4 things on their menu that contain gluten, so the cross contamination must be high. The two times she got sick were very far apart so likely not same kitchen staff both times either. We have eaten there several other times, and were excited that they seemed to take allergies seriously, but ended up disappointed.

Delicious tacos. Just a tip, if they say their food is spicy, know they mean it’s ACTUALLY spicy. Whole staff was incredibly kind and fast and knew a lot about allergies. They told me a few times that they prepare gluten free food in a separate part of the kitchen And their chips are gluten free and prepared in a separate fryer!

My favorite is getting a bowl where I pick everything! The menu labels everything that’s gf which I think everything except a few shells. I also love their chips which are also gf! So yummy and it never takes long to get your food after ordering!

I ordered a custom rice bowl and did not have a reaction to it or the chips (made from corn). Our waitress was knowledgeable about which items contained gluten. The bowl was rather heavy on rice and light on the additions though. Very reasonable prices.

I’m a little confused about the other reviews. They don’t fry anything with gluten on their menu so they chips and tots are safe! If you look at their allergen menu the only thing with gluten is the flour shells, bbq sauce and pulled jackfruit. I eat here super often and never had any issues! I usually build my own tacos or bowls. Love the elote queso as well!

Incredible experience. We’re GF, DF and this place had a great selection!

Yum!! So first this place like all Condado's is great not only food but decor. Waiter was very knowledgeable and marked everything clearly on the order. DELICIOUS!!! No issues, had an ooey gooey and a build your own bowl, so big I brought half home for lunch!! A must stop!

Nice spot to order from pretty late on DoorDash. I exclusively get their nachos as they give you a nice portion. I do order a separate bag of chips because the ones underneath the nachos can get soggy as they are getting delivered, but in terms of taste, highly recommend.

There are a lot of GF options on menu but I started swelling quite quickly after eating less than 1 taco. Also my daughter’s GF grilled chicken looked like cat food . She spat it out …at first I corrected her then tasted it and don’t blame her. It was “terrible” (quoting a 10yr old). If you are gluten sensitive , stay away. I wish I had spat it out too. Unfortunately I’m sick as it is clear I’ve been glutened. I would have given 0 hearts and 0 stars but don’t think that is an option.
